I think 200m is a bit excessive tbh. 50m tops imo.

I play uk exp. and have two different characters. I like having both as they are two different games imo.

I've been killed a few times at the neaf because people logged in behind me. The first time was very early in the game and I didn't even get that the reloading sound was a thing. I thought it was a glitch. I've had groups spawn in too and I've been trapped upstairs. I've also had people pinned down in a house who have logged off, joined another server, ghosted behind me then rejoined and killed me. The part I don't think you seem to get is that if you log out in the woods the chances of anyone hearing you log in or out are almost non-existent.

I'm for sounds on logging in and out. Can be a foghorn for all I care. So on one hand you hate the idea of login/logout sounds because it's unrealistic but on the other had people teleporting in behind you or ghosting is fine because it's unrealistic. Right. Cheers for clearing that up.

I'll miss the old neaf but I think the change will help disperse players around the map a bit.

Oh cool. Thanks. I'll try that. Hopefully that'll be it. I died last night just running back and forward and strafing :D Also had a weird one where my left mouse button didn't work in game or in trying to bind it but it worked in every other menu. A restart seemed to fix it.

Has anyone had this happen to them? You are playing fine and then suddenly you can't turn using the mouse. You can only go backwards,sideways or look around? Happened to me a couple of times.

A little bit. I find I rubberband, find doors/inv hard to deal with, rubberband again and then it's session lost. Happened a handful of times in about 2 hours today.

I think we're conflating sunburn with heatstroke. Sunburn shouldn't be a thing but heatstroke maybe.

Online gamers have the highest proportion of the most sexist and racist people I've have the misfortune to interact with. It's nothing like real life but I think it reflects their base instincts. Have to say that 90%+ of gamers are good people but it's an embarrassment to hear this sort of stuff: Also try being a black character on a euro server and you'll get eastern europeans calling you the n-word continuously. Honestly, it's a surprise to meet a woman/girl gamer but once I'm over the shock it really doesn't make much difference.

I've 300+ hours and I'm already nostalgic for the neaf! I'm cool with whatever changes the devs make but I don't think we'll have players all over the map until vehicles. I think the neaf might be a good candidate for a random helicopter crash spawn site. In any case the layout of the land still makes it a great for squad v squad take and hold scenarios.

I'll miss the neaf tbh. I think we'll have a lot of unintended consequences from this change. This whole thing of people should be forced away from the coast doesn't make sense to me. That's not reality as evidenced by so many major cities being ports and not in the middle of no where. I honestly think a lot of this "force everyone to the nwaf" is nostalgia for the mod.

Then surely the whole 3pp genre of gaming is cancerous. It's a different game. What about 2d top down games? Are they cancerous too? Is pacman cancerous for instance? How about you first person zealots stop joining third person servers? I join servers all the time and there are 12 people then an hour later they are full. You first person zealots seem to expect instant gratification. And I say that as someone who hates 3pp games in general.

The use of the terms babycore/lamecore has put me off playing 1st person. You can tell these people are angry because they don't play on their own designated servers but instead play on 3pp but in 1st person and die a lot. They are no different from people blaming hackers for every death. Go play cringecore. I don't want to play a game with crybabies who want to force a way of playing on everyone. I actually prefer 1st person games in every game ever but I'd prefer not to play with crybaby fascists and hardcore is where they play.

No you are not meant to be impressed. Calm down. It's normal to do the thing a place is famous for before it gets demolished or whatever. Like when CBGB shut down they had a concert celebrating it's history. All we did was the equivalent and I'll be fighting my ass off in the neaf all weekend. Oh and I'll be killed loads of times, if that's ok with you. I'd rather a wake for the neaf than spitting on its grave.

Yep the was an update rollback earlier but then it rolled back shortly afterwards. My pal and I just massacred a 6 man squad near the neaf for old times sake:D
