I think it might be: clothes disappear after 1 restart backpacks persist after multiple restarts guns/ammo will eventually disappear but we're not sure how long. maybe put a magazine somewhere and check back? -

I tested this in 0.49 and it's just backpacks that persist. Guns, vest, trousers etc all disappear. -

I've actually done the suicide thing. Stupidly I left my stuff in novy sobor and the (persistent) server that I dropped everything on was down for what seemed like days but when I got back everything but my backpack was gone. Wasn't worth it. -

No way man. I often butcher and eat three cows in the same day in rl and still end up hungry. There's a lot less meat on those cows than you think. I couldn't eat a fourth one though. Maybe just a wild boar or something small as a late night snack. -

I probably wouldn't have shot the op as he had no long rifle but if I hadn't who is to say he wouldn't have whipped out his magnum and killed me as I was doing the friendly dance?

I love the fact that you have to be aware of snipers. Any time I've been killed by one they have my total respect. I don't snipe myself nor do I kill unarmed bambis but when I'm an unarmed bambi the thrill of being under fire and zig zagging away is amazing. Please don't suggest taking that away.

sounds like you've hit the edge of the map...turn 180 degrees, find the first decent road and then follow that to a town, read the road sign then consult http://dayzdb.com/map

the term bandit predates the dayz mod and they killed plenty of people irl. somehow dayz mod 'bandits' want to force their interpretation of the word on everyone. No thanks.

1. the nwaf fire station is one of the least safe places on the map. 2. logging off on an upper storey often means you log in and fall through the floor(s) to the ground. In future log off in a less stupid place, like the woods or far away from a mil base. -
afaik tents with grass in them spawn decent stuff but the ones with wooden floors don't spawn anything really useful. I was at the nwaf tents last night got some ammo, nothing much else. I was also at veresnik mil base and say some 101 mags.

I've found a flashbang and grenade in barracks recently. The grenade saved my life earlier.
