Anyone remember the "increased heart beat" thing from the mod for id'ing bandits? That didn't work either. Sorry but there shouldn't be any way to identify a "bandit". It isn't needed. The argument has been beaten. The horse is now a slowly decaying mound of rotten flesh. Leave it alone.

1. M4 is NOT a ohk anywhere. 2. While clothing does offer some protection versus damage, there are no anti-ballistic/SAPI plate vest in game as of yet. The tac vest in game are for storage. Range to target is also a deciding factor in damage. 3. The ballistic helmets will mitigate a head shot if from an angle, but not a straight, direct hit and if the helmet is damaged it has little affect on the shot. Oh and yea, your face isn't protected :) With all that said, the M4's seem overabundant currently due to small loot tables, it being alpha, the phase of the moon, when fish are biting, and if my left foot itches.

Make sure to clean any wounds you may have gotten with alcohol tincture and/or use anitbiotics. Having infected wounds will NOT show up as being sick. Also, after using the alcohol Tincture it will show as you being "sick" for a bit, but you get the message that "Your wounds hurt less." Then you get "Your wounds are healed." and the sickness goes away. This is probably what is causing your blood loss over long periods of time. Had it happen to me a while ago and was driving me crazy. Finally figured out I had to disinfect my wounds I had received from zeds even if it doesn't say I'm sick. Now, when I get hit by a zed, I just automatically disinfect the wound and am able to maintain a healthy/healing status.

Didn't answer the poll. Everything on there has been addressed by Rockett either as a problem they are working on fixing (alpha) or as an intended mechanic (KoS). So even if an something may be an issue now, I doubt it will stay that way. We have a long way to go before beta guys. So, test for bugs, enjoy the game, and don't sweat stuff right now.

I tend to crouch walk a lot more inside buildings and avoid staying in open view of a window. CQB training kicked in pronto after clearing a couple houses and towns.

R.J.: You are looking at it from a pvp stand point which is good don't get me wrong. The .22 would need more shots in a pvp situation sure. Nothing wrong with that and I don't see any reason the devs would need to balance it. Here is the thing. Weapons don't need to be balanced. Different weapons perform different roles. The .22 would, lets say, excel at zed killing due to its low noise ratio and abundant ammo. In contrast, an AK or M4 would be better for pvp due to stopping power and the ability for full auto, but still be loud enough to discourage random use against zeds.

I like the current system. As others have already stated, if you actually eat/drink till it says you are "full" you don't have to eat/drink again for a long time.

Funny Pant. :) They both have the same amount of storage so doesn't matter. Comes down to looks really. There aren't any SAPI vest in game yet.

Yes its north of Berezino. Been to it a couple times. Always find atleast a mosin or M4 plus a bunch of other stuff. I fell once through a glitch, but that was in the front hold. Don't sprint through it like a mad man and you should be fine.

No. What that does is have easy mode, regular mode, and hard mode servers all connected to the same hive. Or if not connected then you have to add in more hive servers on Dev side of things to monitor and really splits the community up. Not to mention it removes the feeling of what dayz is supposed to be. If rockett wants the game more arcadish he will make it so. Or a few years down the road if modding become available other people will do it on private hives/servers. Right now and for the vanilla SA it isn't needed. If you want an arcadish game go play BF4, it has plenty of that stuff already.

I can tell you've never used a .22 or hit anything with .22 lr hp. Trust me when I tell you, you do not want to get hit with one. I still got a chunk missing out of my thigh from years ago when I got hit by a ricochet from one. A ricochete, not even a straight shot did serious damage to my thigh.

Hell, you can even buy .22 lr ammo at the gas stations around here. Just about everyone I know owns one for hunting squirrels and rabbits or getting rid of nuisances like rats/possums. .22 is a great all around weapon. Personally I like my pump action .22. Its a bit old sure, but it holds 12 rounds and is fun as hell. :)

During the Mod I played on probably 30+ private servers looking for that vanilla dayz experience we got way back when the mod first released. What I found on every single one of those servers was cliquish admins, favoritism, and hoarding. Friends that I played with at the time had similar experiences on other private servers. We never did end up finding a private server/hive that was just fair play and had a decent admin. Sorry I really don't think Private hives/servers will be needed. They especially aren't needed NOW since we are still testing the game and we don't even know how rockett and team is going to deal with various issues. So just drop the discussions already.

So wait, you basically take a bambi that is no threat whatsoever and instead of just KOSing them you actively lie to them and poison them. Yea you guys have some serious issues. And yes, I like a challenge so live in the north looking for people to kill/rob at the airfields. Atleast then I know they can fight back and aren't new to the game.

Dang! Don't invite the inlaws! Leave them on the coast. It is nice up here for those of us actually playing a sneaky, zombie, survival game. Much more fun when you see somebody trying to figure out what to do. Which is different from the coast of "Kill EVERYTHING".

Wait, wait, wait. It's boring, in a zombie apoc game, that you CAN"T lose the zombies? Me thinks you are playing the wrong game then. Just wiat till they up the number of them by about 5x and finish the AI. Then its going to be really "boring" for you.

Yea the far north is shaping up to be really spectacular imo. Been all over the place up there and seen the debug a couple times. Looks to be a couple nice size towns going in at the least. And from the way a couple areas were laid out in the woods probably 1-2 new military areas as well. I can't wait for them to finish adding in the buildings and such even if they won't have loot at first.

You don't get away from the coast much do you? Cause I can tell you for a fact that anywhere farther than 1-2 klicks from the southern coast and NWAF is a ghost town.

Just thinking outside the box here. Could Dayz be ones of those wierd games were using higher settings moves more of the load to the gpu from the cpu? I know a few other games that I get higher fps on med/high settings than low/med due to my cpu being very old, but my gpu being fairly up to date.
