If you know where to look for the loot you want to find, its not hard to kit out your character at all. I personally love how hard it is to find sniper scopes/pistol red dots. Those should be icing on the cake after you have everything else you need to survive anyway. I just hope once they add more 'realistic' sniper rifles (i.e. .308, .3006, etc) that the mosin gets uber nerfed. Mostly due to the fact that a mosin irl would be less accurate than any of the rifles currently in game.

I'm glad zombies will swarm the fools trying to pvp in cities. Zombies should be the real threat, bar none. This will make people think before they go popping off rounds. I hope that it will get to a point where fire fights end with only the zombies left chewing on the corpses of the idiots who wanted a wild west shootout in elektro. Meanwhile, the survivors will come in and stealthily loot the city... -

This would be amazing. I firmly believe that this is what they will do, because the crafting system is already implemented and uses the inventory. I would like to see a 'snap-to' building system, though. That way you can't build defying physics and such. The one thing I would LOVE to see is retractable rope ladders. Go into your base to log out and retract the ladder so nobody can steal your stuff without considerable effort (destroying and building). -

Systems: Damage was being equally applied to all objects inside inventory slot when shot/damaged (now items reduce the damage when they take damage) Does this mean items inside storage containers (i.e. protective cases) do not take damage until the container is ruined? Edit: Also, great job team! -

Can't wait until you can shoot gas stations and they blow up... Picture this: hostile group stops their vehicle to gas up. BOOM! You might even get a vehicle out of the deal :D -
I've seen my friend glitch through the firestation stairs and die, so its definitely an option. However, odds are you were sniped because most KoS'ers hang out on sniper hill above elektro or in the city. And to confirm what others have said, you do not hear the shot that kills you.

I have a feeling they will add some form of rarer loot at the NWAF at a later date. However once the tent spawns are fixed, it will have the best chances to find the best loot available anyway (due to the size vs other AF's). I personally love going to the NWAF just because most KoS'ers don't venture there because of the long journey. -
lawl. getting a group of KNOWN bandits/KoS'ers together in one place? Now this smells of betrayal. Please, somebody record this so I can watch it later :D

This might be something that they implement when they add a logout timer. I would absolutely LOVE to see this added. Too many times have I just wounded somebody and they run to cover and logout.

I've tested the compensator a bit on my mosin (PU scope, compensator, bipod, all pristine) and it reduces the recoil significantly, but doesn't seem to impact accuracy at all. Once I can get my hands on a long-range scope, I'll do some more testing.

Thats what I was hoping. A semi-auto gun should be more accurate than ANY full-auto, bar none.

In the future, we should be able to create safezones for people to trade, learn and commune in.

Not a fan of the black and white hero/bandit part. But a safezone dedicated to trading or something is a legit idea. The only problem is how it would get implemented. Not to mention that this would give griefers and trolls (8 y/o children) more ammo by just camping outside this zone. -
Priority on fixing damned error that fcks up your character on server join!

Relax. If you go check out the 'announcements' section of the forums, you will see that rocket has posted a topic about this issue. The devs ARE making this a priority and I'm sure it will be fixed in the next few days. Until then, play a different game until its fixed. -
I haven't tried this, but using charcoal tablets might fix it? They are used to counteract poisoning.

Just did a little research, because I am pumped for this gun to be in-game. The m4 is more accurate than the sks and has better range due to the 5.56mm round. However, the sks has significantly more stopping power and piercing ability (7.62x39mm). I am worried about how this will play out in-game, though. Mostly because the m4 is inaccurate as hell in dayz and if they make the sks less accurate it will barely be usable.

Yeah its a known issue. Basically, its something to do with servers not saving/loading your character data correctly from the hive. I would just avoid playing for a few days.

Yep. This is supposed to happen to discourage KoS mentality and force players to interact with one another (even if it is robbing them).

This is true to a point. Antibiotics are divided into two groups: narrow-spectrum and broad spectrum. Narrow-spectrum attack a certain group of bacteria, but aren't used very commonly. Broad spectrum attack all types of bacteria, and are used the most commonly. The reason broad spectrum antibiotics actually make you more sick is because it attacks the 'good' bacteria that is prevalent in your body. Could DayZ be done better on a different engine?

I say no. Mostly just because this engine was designed as a mil-sim with realism in mind, which is what this game needs. If they used a AAA developer's engine, there would be a LOT more issues that they may not be able to fix (without incredible expense/time). For example: BF4's Frostbyte engine which has glitched hitboxes, broken projectile mechanics, terrible netcode, clunky player movement, AND was sold as a completed product at full price when it really wasn't. Keep true to your dream developers and take your time to make an epic game! -
I like this idea! As long as killing a handful of zombies doesn't break your edged weapon. I would give all my beans to the dev that added in a katana as a super rare, top tier melee weapon!

I love a lot of these suggestions. C4, grenades (both mil and craftable), and IED's would be amazing additions. Don't forget the tripwire traps that you could disable with pliers, if you're observant enough! And when they add all these items in, I really hope they add some more inventory space items so that you could carry a little more than a 20L backpack. I mean...mountain backpacks irl are about 40-70L bags which would be able to hold A LOT of gear (I have these items because I backpack on a regular basis). Not to mention how limited the tac vests are...seriously, a pistol and 2 magazines? Oh well, heres to hoping!

KoS is certainly rampant in the game right now. However, it will NEVER fully go away and it shouldn't because it adds to the game. However, once they fix a lot of the current problems (such as combat logging, server hopping, loot spawn rate, respawning loot, and ruined items no longer working) KoS will be curbed a bit because the risks will outweigh the rewards (unless you can get a clean headshot). Also, I'm sure the devs know about this and will implement some minor systems to influence people in interact with other players. -
No. Lets not make this game more like Rust, please. Don't get me wrong, Rust is a great game. However, I do not want to give griefers more tools to piss people off.

Still having rubberbanding issues -.- Happened near Prigorodki twice in a row on different servers. The second time my buddy and I were all the way on sniper hill overlooking elektro, started sniping some people then got rubberbanded back to Prigo. Both times had to alt+f4
