Time to revert back to RDR: Undead Nightmare times. Times when you had to fight the zombies with nothing but your handy-dandy revolvers and buffalo snipers. Ah... Good times.

Basically, if you see closed doors and surrounding, idle zombies, you don't have to worry about anyone camping within the perimeter. It means no one has been around since the restart.

Just running in balls deep seems to work out for me. :thumbsup:

I felt generous this evening.. so why not give? I hugged the coast, running southbound from the northeast, until I managed to run into this guy at the gas station near Berezino. It doesn't feel like a common theme that you find someone looking like this... to charge at you with his SKS and expect for him to randomly toss over half of his findings. I'd have expected the opposite from his perspective. All in all, it felt good to help out a first-name scrub. Here's a list of some of the things I gave to the guy: 1 .45 Pistol, 1 Shotgun, 1 Camo Vest, 1 Canteen w/ water, 1 Can Opener, 1 Pair of gloves, 1 Respirator, 1 Pristine Antibiotics,1 Pristine Banana, 1 Pristine Notacola, 2 Rags, etc.I also included this note within the pile of stuff. So... quick questions to wrap it up. Have any of you guys tossed some gear to a random player's way out of generosity? And if you were in his shoes, would you have taken advantage of the situation? This thread is also in the wrong topic. Its in DayZ Mod when it should be located in DayZ since you are talking about standalone and not the mod version of DayZ. Will the OP please change this?

Double-posted. Please remove this post. And to answer your question, most houses have a balanced spawn rate for food. Your best bet is to check barracks and town homes.

First off, not a bug-fixing or game file troubleshoot topic. (Hopefully you weren't referring to a General Discussion topic as a troubleshoot thread in the first place.) ;) So, with that out of the way, I shall announce that I'm going start a helping-other-players-in-game-if-they-need-help campaign! Those in need of medical assistance, food/drink shortage, new clothes, ammo, etc. (that are either too scared to attempt to help themselves or know for a fact that they will die and lose their gear) can post here in this topic of their need(s) and current location in-game. Refer to the application below for best results. Once I (or cakeguardian) contact you via PM, you will need to give me (or him) your account name that you use for a type of call/communication (Steam or Skype preferably) so I (or Mr. Sexy) can find you more accurately. You will also not wield any weapons upon direct contact (as with zombies or in self-defense of a :bandit: , it is applicable) I will post a screenshot of successful "helps" and caption it's details/person within this post. I'll also keep track of how many "helps" go good, bad, or some other type of numeral within my forum signature/post. Also, for anyone that decides to betray, you won't be getting anything too spectacular from my corpse, even at the risk of your character's death.
