  1. KoS is fine in small doses. At least you can torment people who do it in game to teach them a lesson. It's the combat loggers that really get on my nerves.

Santa is gonna learn how to deal with it.

THE DAYZ WISH LIST (From the Community to the Devs)

1: Anti combat logging measures; a 10 minute timer after you've been engaged in combat with another player would be nice. If you logout before the 10 minutes are up your character dies and you lose everything. 2: More zombies in general 3: More civilian firearms like hunting rifles, shotguns, a mini ruger or something like that 4: Beards, different hairstyles, more facial customization would be awesome. 5: Player run safe zones where you can find other people to roll with, store your gear and logout in relative safety. 6: Vehicles that need to be restored in order to work. For instance, many of the cars would need a battery change or new tires seeing as they would have been out of commission for a long time. 7: Once vehicles have been implemented, it would be awesome if you could customize them. Welding steel to the car for protection and putting steel grates over the passenger windows would be nifty. 6: Roaming hordes of zombies 7: Hundreds of destroyed cars blocking the roads leading out of the coastal cities. This is more of a visual thing though and would give a little more depth to the way the world looks.

<<<< [How to] Improve random player killing. >>>>

All those ideas are amazing. The only one I'm not that crazy about is the aggressive NPC controlled loot spawns. The great thing about your ideas is that it won't completely do away with KoS but it will add some significant downfalls to playing that way, while still keeping some of the benefits (easy loot etc etc)

    DayZ in North America

Yes! Something like Zargabad from regular ARMA 2, but with skyscrapers. That would be really cool too.

    Cool addition to the game

I like the idea of using foliage to make your clothing more camouflaged, but I don't really like the idea of spray painting your weapons. Spray paint would be awesome if you could put up graffiti though. We already have a note system, it would be super awesome if you walked through Cherno and saw "Abandon all hope" or something scrawled on a wall by another player.

    DayZ in North America

Chernarus is a map we all love. From its dense forests to foreboding Soviet architecture, its been a part of DayZ since the beginning of the mod. However, I'm sure we're all used to seeing the zombie apocalypse through a more American perspective, seeing as the vast majority of films and shows dealing with the subject are based in North America. This is one of reasons I'm finding it hard to connect with the game world at the moment, partly because the game is filled with American loot and players who look more western than someone living in an ex-Soviet state. What I was thinking was a DayZ map set in the States. Obviously, insanely dense urban areas like New York, Boston or LA would be impossible to make without having a NASA super computer at your disposal. The great thing about America though, is that there is a so much variety in the landscape, urban density and population that we could see several maps based in the US. A State like Wyoming for instance, would make an awesome DayZ map because it has a really beautiful landscape, a relatively small population and fairly small urban areas. I just thought I'd put this topic up to form some discussion and see what everyone's opinions are. Is a map based around the US or even Canada something you guys would like to see being made one day? Do you think the devs would ever make a map like that?

    Every survivors looks military

I feel like adding perks to certain kinds of gear would make the game feel a little too much like an MMO. Military gear should be extremely rare to come across. That being said - it should also be a lot more durable than regular civilian gear, making it way more valuable than it already is. What would be cool is if gear degraded over time, making it necessary to have to change your clothes after a certain period of time.

    Admire the landscape

No effects, I just got lucky is all. Speaking of after effects though, have any of you guys experimented with SweetFX yet? I'm really curious to see how it makes the game look.

    Admire the landscape

Sometimes, when you're not too busy killing zombies, its nice to take a step back and take in the sights

Keep it Hard....... a thoughtful request.

I feel like players should be able to poison water sources, rendering them completely useless. You could drag a dead body or a zombie into the pond after you've used it to stop other players from doing so. Honestly though, I feel like the only thing holding the game back in terms of difficulty is the lack of zombies.

    Never go to green mountain.

You should have kidnapped him and harvested his blood.

    He already had everything.

Avoid everyone. Trust no one. Not even your friends. They will kill you if it means telling a funny story to tell later on.
  15. People can be dicks in real life, expect the same people in a game which rewards you for killing and/or avoiding people you don't know.
