    Low FPS issues.

I was alittle confused on that. I am guessing the main mod site hasn't been updated then in awhile because it says 1.8.0.3 on it as the current version, yet I did notice one of the newer posts said 1.8.3. only without a 0 in it. Wasn't sure if that was a typo or what. Thanks for clearing that up mate.

Well Steam finally updated me to 1.8.0.3, but I'd still like to know what you'd actually download if you had to install this manually. Not like those threads really explain much of anything other then what was changed.

    Low FPS issues.

I haven't got any updates on Steam personally. Seems I am not the only one having this issue that I talk to on Steam. So I am guessing some are getting it and some are not. Not really sure what's going on with that mate. And melaw the card isn't as bad as you think. I am running DayZ single player version mod at max settings and getting good gameplay out of it. My other games online fps is usually between 30 and 60 give or take. This laptop may not be no gaming system, but it ain't no dinosaur either mate. lmao So I don't know why you'd be surprised. I was just running around on SWTOR the other day in fact on it. That's probably the only game I played that has had some lag issues, but even people with actual suped up machines are having that problem. Anyway DayZ and Arma2 I am playing fine in offline single player mode. It's only when I try to play online do I have any real issues at all with it.

I am not sure where to download it to be honest mate. Steam hasn't updated yet and nor has DayZ commander or the launcher. I found these 2 threads, but am unclear as to which links I really need for it. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/149928-dayz-mod-1803-hotfix/ http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/215446-dayz-mod-183/ Do I just need the client only?

    Low FPS issues.

Well it was a gift and I personally not had any of those issues. Actually I been able to game with mine with no issues up until now. Games I ran so far have been Lord of the Rings Online, Star Trek Online, Transformers MMO, Fallen Earth, State of Decay, Fort Zombie, SWGEmu, DCUO, EQ2 and EQ1, Walking Dead Survival Instinct, No more room in Hell, Half Life 2, Zombie Panic Source, Marvel Heros mmo, Infinate Crisis, Dragons Prophet, Counter Strike Nexon Zombies, and Entropia Universe just to name afew. So no it's not a damn joke. So if you got anything actually helpful it'd be appreciated. Only issue I can actually see is probably the processor speed, but outside of that I have not had no problems. I asked for helpful tips on how to get better fps on this crap. Yes I know it's not a gaming system if it was I'd not be here asking this. I didn't ask for an evaluation of the crappy reviews cry babies make because they don't know how to run their computer systems right in the first place. lol Thanks though, but I'll pass mate. lmao :)

Sorry I didn't even think to add that. It's not the processor needing replaced I just got this laptop not to long ago. I am pretty sure this is the one I bought so I'll add the link it has all the specs listed there on it. Thanks. :) http://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Black-15.6-15-f009wm-Laptop-PC-with-AMD-E1-2100-Accelerated-Dual-Core-Processor-4GB-Memory-500GB-Hard-Drive-and-Windows-8.1-DVD-CD-DRIVE-NOT-IN/36561200

When I join a server my ping usually is about 45 give or take. When I click to join world the load screen takes a good minute to load and once I am in world my fps is between 5 to 10 average. Anyone by chance know what causes that issue or more importantly how to fix it?

    Need some advice please.

Not really if you notice I was originally trying to work out what to try first the dayz mod or sa version. Now I am just trying to decide if I should buy supporter edition or not for sa. Not seeing a real big difference in the two. Tried the mod already enjoyed it and even though there isn't a dayz mod for arma 3 I think the mod everyone is playing is called Breaking Point or something like that so may give that a go eventually. I didn't think to check if it was on sale too when I seen arma 2 on sale on Halloween or I probably woulda bought both. As it stands I am trying to work out if I should buy supporter for sa on the main site or say stuff it and buy it directly off steam.

    Bring back old dayz!

I was gonna say I see servers running older versions sometimes just make a dayz folder for a older version of the mod and jack into the matrix mate. Honestly from what I am seeing and I could be wrong, but seems like people prefer servers that offer more variety and things to do ingame. Log in hunt loot and pvp and repeat can get old after awhile. The servers that come across to me more mmo stylish seem to be the ones generating the most people. Atleast that is how it is looking on my end anyway.

Actually with games the longer you wait the cheaper they get Rags. I just don't feel like waiting. lol That's why I was trying to find out if there was any real difference between supporter edition and buying normal off steam. Outside of just handing them more money that is. Because atm I am leaning at just getting it threw steam and calling it a day. Not sure about Planetside 2 Paxom I tried 1 PS1 back in the day and I can't recall seeing any mods, but I barely remember it because the game didn't hold me for very long. And what you said make perfect sense Miracool. I don't normally do alpha games, but after trying the mod I can sorta see the potential SA has to it mate. :)

Standalone to mod? Sell it to me.

I've not tried the stand alone DayZ yet myself, but I did grab up Arma 2 for like 7.99 I think or basically 8 bucks on Steams Halloween sale for the sole purpose of trying the mod because like you I am not really into military first person shooters. That being said however I will say I do not regret spending my 8 bucks. It was an 8 bucks well spent. Now here are the problems I have ran into personally. I have found for me connecting to servers takes more time then I care to deal with. One server with Dallas in the name of it for Vanilla DayZ I was banned not even having been logged in it for 5 minutes. I barely took 2 steps before that happened. The others I manage to connect to seem fine just trying to find a way to increase my latency for a better connection. About 90% of the servers I see have bad lantency and are unconnectable to me. The other 10% is a challenge. More of a hit and miss sorta thing. I am playing version 1.8.2 even though there is a 1.8.3 out I am not sure what I need or where I should even go to download that. The links I found I am not sure how much of the crap I need just to play so waiting for either Steam or DayZ launcher to upodate and then just download it threw them. That being said I am not seeing that many servers out for it anyway. Actually I not seen any at all. Also now this is one thing I like which alot of players may not, but I like it for the learning value is there is a single player mod you can get at this link which if your new totally it is good to have so your not logging on to servers and being a complete and total noob. http://kodabar-dayz-daizy-single-player-forum.1084782.n5.nabble.com/RELEASE-DayZ-X-1-8-0-3-Update-0-1-17-02-2014-td3034.html I found this mod very helpful being a new player trying to learn the game on my own. Now my reason for going with the mod first before the SA was simly this logic. The SA was created based off the popularity and success of this mod. I wanted to see what the orginal was like first so I could know what to expect from the SA as it developes along. Downside to the mod version of DayZ is this one fact to me. Compared to the SA which I understand is about ball park of 6 gigs of hard drive space. The Arma2 DayZ plus the DayZ mod along with all the other mods from the DayZ launcher is I think probably going to be about 40 to 50 gigs of hard drive space. This is a guess as I have not finished downloading them all yet myself, but if your like me you will download all of the ones offered in the launcher simply because you will want the ability to join any servers you see listed without being told you do not have the files to join them. That being said if you don't mind the headaches and the use of disk space then you should be good to go. You do and will get that mmo world feel when playing the game. That's one of the things that has impressed me and as I said I also am not into military first person shooters, but Arma 2 has won me over for the sole fact the maps in this game compared to any other FPS I played are without a doubt the largest I personally have ever seen. You have vehicles and all kinds of stuff in the game. Really all it lacks on DayZ side is a mission system sorta like what you would see in a game like State of Decay, but not everyone wants or desires that aspect. It is solely player based which I do love that aspect about it. So whatever direction you take is and will be solely made up of your own will and choosing. There is no game direction other then what your pixel feet take you towards. I say try it. At times it's a pain the behind, but honestly well worth 8 bucks and your time devoted to it. Just know the game does have it's issues like any other game and I'd imagine it'd be easier to find and get connected to SA servers then mod ones at this time. Atleast for me anyway. Grab it up when it's on sale if you do. Hope my assement helps you out some. Hope you enjoy it if you play it. Best of luck to ya mate. :)

    Loading problems

Scratch that comment. Stupidity on my part. Aparently the launchers aren't updating either. I totally misread mine. So eactly how do you get the update because it seems Steam isn't the only one dragging ass on updates. DayZ launcher isn't updating either. The manual download on the site is version 1.7.3 so wtf? lmao

I have said this on another tread ya gave the same answer for, but fyi Steam alreasdy had DayZ updated to 1.8.3 already so that has nothing to even do with the issues people are having. They are having these issues with the current version that is out right now.

    Keep losing connection

Having the same issue myself mate. Most servers the latancy is so bad I done started playing DayZ X the single player version because I get tired of spending an hour trying to connect to servers. Seems to be the only game I have this issue with and I have yet to be able to determine as to why. Be nice if someone had an actual answer for this problem.
