Axe seems ineffective against players. I've had about 10 swings on one person standing still, gushing blood and they still had time to turn round and shoot me, then start bandaging before I finished them off with a broken leg and bled to death myself.

If we weren't all apparently born with osteoporosis, morphine would be much less needed. It really does suck, breaking your leg nowadays. Hospitals are sooo dangerous, and I've not really found any elsewhere, except on dead players. -

It's realistic. The UK has no money, so no one could afford any food or drink or decent items. Also the restrictive gun laws means hardly anyone but criminals had access to decent weapons when the infection hit. Also the hospitals have a 3 month respawn timer (waiting list) on any medical supplies on UK servers. I like the realism. It's refreshing. -
It's funny how you can't crawl up a little step/stairs with a broken leg, but you can stand upright and climb a ladder with both legs, no problems at all.

I think it's too complicated. I had a similar sort of idea - kinda stolen (i'm ashamed to say) from the walking dead. How about having zombies roaming forests, and if they find an animal they'll kill it and start eating it. You could either still gut the animal, but only get half the meat from it that you would normally. OR You could have all the meat, but it'd give you a chance to become infected with something that slowly killed you (like when you starve to death). Antibiotics would cure this infection. -

Can the zombies not spawn off the map? Not necessarily right at the map edge where the vegetation stops, but to the north/west of the maps that most people have access to online. If no one's around, no one's going to see them spawning and wail about it. Actually, if they get caught up in a zombie horde spawnfest than it's their own stupid fault for lurking in no man's land :) Perhaps the infection has spread and now loads of zombies are just roaming the country looking for prey. -
I was unable to vault over some wire in electro fire station. It made me cry delicious tears, which I ate, myself. I felt a little better then. But then someone shot me and I died. My pillow ate my tears as I cried myself to sleep. Maybe it should only be placeable outside, and then could be used as funnel, to channel zombies into an easy-to-handle line. I don't think zombies would really care about the barbs ripping into their decaying flesh as they scrambled through it to get to your delicious brains (and tears).

Hi, I don't seem to be able to connect to (my favourite) servers if I launch Arma II CO from Steam. So I'm using the Launcher (I think) - but now pressing F12 doesn't take a screenshot. Is there any other way to take a screenshot if not running via steam?

I think the solution is to - in terms of cheaters - have everyone provide a number of photographs of themselves, or turn up in person at Day Z HQ and have their personal details verified, address, place of work, parents & other family members... all that stuff. Then, if they are guilty of cheating, anyone who lives nearby can go round and set them all on fire. That'll teach em.

I'll apologise for not having read the entire thread - sorry :) I appreciate that pretty much all the issues I'm about to comment one will have been brought up myriad times already. This is just a "What's happened to me in this patch" post. * Zombies spotting me a while off (when crouch running). I guess it was that they heard me, now. * Sometimes it seems an animal I gut has no meat on it - seemed very dependent on the angle I approached/looked at it - has it always been like that? I've never seen it before. * Approached a dead player on some stairs in control tower at NE Airfield - game locked up completely * Never had an FPS drop, but I got backed into a shed with about 7 zombies after me. * At the Dam (in NE) zombies only chased me to the edge of the dam then stood there, until I ran off the dam, then they followed * Zombies seemed to glitch all over the place, warping in and out of builds when they were trying to get to me inside (didn't get attacked through walls this time, but occasionally they could teleport inside, rather than coming through the door..... * Zombie pathing to an open door was very poor; they got stuck just on the corner of a building (shed) then did the warping in/out thing. * Zombies occasionally warp all over the place when they're approaching you - whereas before even though they zigzagged you could still keep track of them. Impossible when they're warping. * I seem to now need to take painkillers each time a zombie hits me, even if they do no/hardly any damage and I don't bleed. Is this normal? * Was struck by lots of zombies - never had a bone broken, though I was knocked over/unconscious a couple of times. * Did not pick up a hatchet; already had one in my inventory - unable to remove it into main inv to use as a weapon? Haven't seen another hatchet anywhere. * Gathering wood from trees - sometimes possible to gather from a lone tree in an open space, but other times had to be quite far in to a forest for it to work. * Silenced M4A3 (forget what they're called) rounds seem to have massive inverted bullet drop, i.e. need to aim at knees/feet at about 30 yards to hit zombies in the chest/head. This can't be right? Think that's about it. -

I'm not sure how long it takes to do something after it starts flashing - but last night it was somewhere between 2-3 mins I think, then you start to lose blood...at a rate of about 10 every 5 seconds or so, as I discovered last night. If you have a good supply of food (cooked meat) on you, then you can just keep topping up when you've lost 800 and carry on until you find a drink (or run out of food).

It could be that the server you joined hasn't upgraded yet. I had similar when I had the 1.7.1.1 hotfix and the server didn't. That was last night, though. Once I'd downgraded back to 1.7.1.0 all was well.

For those of you afflicted by the bug where any blood gained by food eaten wasn't saved... when you logged in today for the first time with 1.7.1.2 patch, did you have full blood, or whatever you logged out had, or had it reverted back to the lowest blood you got before you ate yesterday/last night? What I mean is: Does this fix only work for the NEXT time you eat, after logging in, or is it kind of applied retroactively, somehow? (I don't really want to log in to 381 blood again, having fixed myself up to full health. edit: Also, I agree with Zipper etc. above. There's no point in people upgrading to 1.7.1.2 if it is so broken as to be unplayable (servers crashing == unplayable). It's far better to stay on 1.7.1.1 and see if there are any other bugs to be fixed, than to not play at all. Playing IS testing.
