I believe so. I have come upon a building with a zombie just standing halfway up the steps not moving so I thought they may have been able to go up stairs now. But then I aggrod some while looting a building, and watched as they were still clipping through the floor/just walking straight through the stairs. I really have no idea, and I can't say for sure actually because I have only seen each of these instances once (once with zombies clipping through ground/stairs and once with a zombie standing perfectly fine halfway up the stairs). Could it be that zombies can only traverse certain buildings at the moment? Your guess is as good as mine. -

That site, the current featured profile is just wow. Take a look at this: Kills: 4,492 Newspawns Killed: 4,232 That's just sad, nearly all kills from new spawns. More on topic, the most I've killed in one life is probably close to 10.

I've noticed they come through doors too, except one instance inside of one of those small military barracks with the double bunks, I was watching the door waiting for a zombie to come through but he clipped through the wall/window and came at me. And no zombies still can't go up stairs. On a side note, didn't they supposedly fix the random zombie noises in a patch before or are they still working on it? All I could hear yesterday while in the countryside was random zombie sounds with nothing around but woods for miles. -
Thanks everyone. I wasn't sure because i had been killed and respawned, found some loot when the server crashed so i joined another one, and was back on the coast again respawned. I guess i joined a hardcore server instead of a regular server or vice versa and just didn't realize it.

Wait so, we will not lose our character if we log in to the same server we logged out of? I was under the assumption that no matter what, if you log out and log back in, even to the same server, your character is reset. Snap now I need to check my history and try to remember which server I was just on.

Sometimes my character doesn't save and I come back as a freshspawn!

Well I think I'll hold off logging back in until a hotfix or something comes along to fix this. Don't want the past 4 hours of looting to go to waste because I logged out and logged back in. -
I like that M4's are rare now. Went through both military bases along with the small barracks at zeleno and found no guns and then the NWAF which I only found one (an M4) (Might I also add that all of these locations had not yet been looted before I showed up). Also, all the tents at the NWAF were empty. They hadn't already been looted unless someone looted the tents and not the rest of the airfield. So far the M4 is the only gun I've found. Ammo is not that rare though.

I can see that now but that doesn't change the fact that I was in one that was updated with the patch right after servers started coming back up?

Character roll-back after new patch?

I logged in and had a new character too. My old one was fully geared but I had actually went to the coast in hopes of finding and being killed by someone so I can start over after having been alive and bored for dayz so this just saved me time anyways. :P -
I was just in a US East 1PP day server set to 9:20 as the time, there were two of them. Suddenly connection dropped and been refreshing waiting for them to come back up now.

I was in Elektro a couple weeks back looting the place with seemingly no one around or at least that's what I thought because I hadn't seen or heard anything in 20minutes while I was looting. The server restarts and I rejoin immediately and begin looting buildings by the port where I logged back in at. Couple minutes go by, all is still fine when out of nowhere, I hear several gunshots (Very close by, it sounded like it could of been on the other side of the building) and a couple voices say something along the lines of "Don't let him get away." "Where'd he go?" "We will find you. You can't hide for long." while I began to run west and take a corner behind a building. I don't know if it was me they saw and were after (I was out in the open when it started) but all I knew was I only had an axe, and plenty of supplies along with my new found, rare at the time, can opener and I had to run as far as I could as fast as I could for I could not lose that can opener. Not really a funny situation. -
Has anyone noticed a more sensitive aim?

When I hopped on and played a couple days ago I could of swore something was up with the sensitivity also, but I didn't think a whole lot about it. -
I am a 'Lone Wolf - I'm not a bandit and gather my own resources. Not a murderer but will kill in a heartbeat. In it for myself.' I leave players alone to survive strictly unless I observe that they are a danger to myself, in-which case I kill them immediately.

Ah, thanks for that! I look forward to being able to see those changes or even play with those changes at some point. There are some advantages when using 3PP such as being prone, but in general I don't think there's anything wrong (like how some people around are saying the entire view itself is an exploit). The first person when prone and OTS while crouched make sense. -

Didn't rocket say that they would be looking into the 3PP issue and also looking at ways to make 1PP better so neither view has an advantage (not entirely sure but I remember reading something about it)? I'm not sure how it would be done, but they are clearly aware of it and exploring different options. Removing 3PP is just a ridiculous thing to want in my opinion. I prefer BOTH views, and as it is now, having the servers separated is perfectly fine. -
I play for the survival aspect, I enjoy exploring and surviving. I look forward to improved zombies, helicopter crashes in the woods/fields, vehicles etc.

I've been greyed out for a few hours myself and i too got used to it fairly quickly. It just made the healing process to being healthy again that much more satisfying. Watching the color slowly return. And the environment become sharper and less blurred over time was a relief. I must of been really close to death because i could hardly see objects infront of me clearly. I've got no problem with the way it is now seeing as it's not terribly difficult to heal yourself. Just eat and drink lots, take some vitamins and antibiotics or what not, once your wounds are healed rest a bit and your character should be healty again in time. That's what I did. -

Yes reading that back I realize how stupid it sounds. What I really should have said is they should not allow modding until some time after the game is fully released. I just jumped the gun and said that but left out the most important part which makes it sound like I am against modding all together forever. I personally love mods and modding, but if they were to add it in at any time before the full release, you would have people playing those mods instead of the pre release game and not testing the game properly. Trust me lol, waking up this morning and re reading that, I could only facepalm at why I said it the way I did. :lol:

That's what I was trying to get at with my post at first but it didn't quite come out the way it should of. At this moment in time, allowing modding just wouldn't be feasible, but some time after the full release, I would be okay with modding.

What are your thoughts on people against KO punching?

Maybe when you have your fists up, you could hit space to bring your arms up to your face and block incoming punches. It would only work for people punching you straight on though. If you have your arms up and someone punches you from the side or back there should be no block affect, obviously. Good idea of putting your guard up, I think it's totally viable just gotta figure out which key to have it bound to. I think fist fighting as it is now though is fine, I don't have a problem with it. Either way, if it was tweaked or not I don't think I would really care at all. I think people complaining about it are laughable. -
sliding after regaining consciousness/zombie one shotted me

Had the same thing happened to me a little while ago. One hit ko by a zombie and when i came to, i was just sliding. First instinct was to relog and see if that fixed it and it did luckily. I'm just glad i didn't die, and am healthy again.
