Hope so too. It looks so ugly these half builded structures called bases. If its possible to build up structures they have to fit into the style of the game. Maybe a little shack or deerstands, but not 10 in a row... I dont know how they will handle it but I think its the best way that you only can barricade houses. For shure it would be nice to build a nice little camp in the woods with a shack and a few deerstands, barrels and sandbags. But gannon said it, those structures would be exploited in so many ways. We just have to wait and see what hicks has to say me think

It would be great if... You and your mate are taking a rest upon a hill between Vybor and Lopatino. Eat some beans. Drink some water after this hard way out of this hell called Chernogorsk. So many infected people, so much pain, no hope. You take out your Binocs you grabbed in a shed, they are not in a good condition but they are good enogh to take a look along the road out of Lopatino. You hear the trees rustling. But they´re rustling very loud. A bit to loud. You recognize that this rustling are not the trees, its a car driving down the road out of Lopatino! Its a police Car! You focus the Policecar with your old rusty binocs and you are shure two or three people are sitting inside. They seems to be in panic but you cant see why. Now you see a stream of infected people comin out of buildings near the road. There are many, REALLY many of them! And they are trying to stop the car with their bodys.Your breeth goes faster. Your mate gives you a sign to stay quiet! The driver of the police car looses the control and the car chrashes into a tree. The horde is maybe 50 feet away from the chrashside. Two people getting out of the car. One of them has a gun and starts firing till his ammo is empty. Your mate take out his blaze, aims and start firing to help the lost souls down the road. I know he has only 18 rounds for his blaze. One of them is down than another one and onther one but there are to many of them. They are getting closer and closer and finally get what they want. Fresh meat. Sad... But now there is the chance to get to the policecar to check the trunk and mayby find some real good stuff to survive in this harsh envoirnement. So lets go... this is how Dynamic Events should be. -
I would love to see a map called "Black Forest" Its a rarely populated area in south west germany. The only problem is that its really hard to find firearms in Germany. There are very hard rules for owning them. But I love this type of envoirnement and there could be some snowy areas. And its rarely populated for Germany, compared to Canada its high populated :) Everywhere are little shacks, barns, hiking paths and villages.

Making it an event when eating/drinking etc...

I think the problem is that some actions like drinking or eating are taking an amount of time while some actions like crafting a backpack doesnt take a second. So either every action takes an specific amount of time or every action you make in your inventory (crafting, eating, switching clothes, reload mags, etc) should happen instantly. It´s just a desicion of gamedesign in my opinion. But it needs to be constant. The amount of time the actions are taking doesnt need to be really realistic. Shure it should take longer to craft a backpack than to reload your mag. And yes... I could live with it, if it takes very long to repair an huey. So its nearly impossible to repair it, unless there are several mates with you. Three of them repairing the helicopter and one guards the area. It would be thrilling the shit out of you if you are repairing a huey and a few seconds before its repaired, a firefight starts and you have to decide, if you cancel the action or take part and help your mate. And if you start again it shouldnt start from the beginning. You should be able to continue your repairing process. -

Thats what I thought about often the last times. There has to be a stringent system. For me its not right if you are able to take out a mag, eject ammo, refill mag and put it back to ur gun and maybe craft a courierbag while you are eating a can of beans. I think all crafting and other actions should take there time. -

Real nice stuff! And how is loot distribution system working? Can we hope to see persistence enabled soon or does ist take a long way until it´s possible again? ... and by the way. I´m so excited about the megaphone :D

Military barrack, have they become 'minor' loot building

Maybe, I played two times ( all intogether maybe 5-6h) since update and didn´t looted one barrack but found so much guns, ammo and scopes. It´s too much right know and I think they will nerf it down after a while and bring back the barrack. -
Planecrashes :D or overhelmed survivercamps in the forest with maaany infected, but I dont think "dynamic events" means events like that.

Yesterday I packed my Tent on my Back and left a few backpacks on the floor because I coudn´t take all of that stuff. Today after Wednesday Maintanence I logged in to the server but the stuff still lays on the floor??? Several backpacks and a few weapons. So my Question: Someone else notified that nothing was wiped this wednesday? Does that mean there is full persistence without wipes now? edit: I know a place where another foreign tent was pitched and definitly stands there till the servers went down and it´s still there.

Yes sir, I like your idea. There should be mushrooms for recipes and cooking and some magic ones too :D I think If I´m in an devastated world like chernarus I would take a drink more often... ;) ... edit: Flashbacks from your trip would be nice :)

Crafting for better Friend or Foe identification

I think for shure it´s easier to identify your mates if they wear signs, but armbands? Common, selfmade friendship armbands thats not good. Maybe it should be possible to take a peace of paper, a knife cut symbol and take it as blueprint to spray a sign on your helmet or your shirt. thats ok for me, but Armbands, I don´t like it. For me the whole identification thing with your teammates at a gunfight makes it more difficult to operate efficient and there where epic moments i wont miss without identification symbols. -

Yes I think the current persistance system works like that. If you put an backpack on the ground it stays there an exact amount of time till it disapears. But for buildings it would look great if you come to a rotten and half broken playerbase. Some crafted half rotten shelters, a broken cooking tripod and rusty crap on the floor ...and maybe a bit useful stuff :)

I like the idea of crafted shelters, maybe cabin logs. But they should be really hard to craft (cabin logs) and for me both could be persistent. There should be different craftable items with different lifetimes. A shelter made out of ashwoodsticks, a rope and maybe a few pelts and chopped sticks. Lifetime 6 days. There has to be an option to reset the lifetime. For example after a few days you have to repair your shelter with a few chopped sticks and this resets the lifetime and you get 6 days again. You can store basic gear in it maybe 28 slots or something like that. And if its hard enoug to craft it wont get spammed all over the map. With this system there are several options of housing and if its faster and easier to craft it dissapears earlier. I think it makes much more sense than searching the whole map for a camping tent to build up a little camp in the woods. I wouldn´t do that. I would grab what I can and search a safe place to start up with a small shelter to be safe.

Hi there, last year i had the idea of different types of "helicopter crashsites". I dont mean different styles of helicopters with military loot, what I suggest are maybe little survivor bases in the woods, where you can find camping stuff or civilian loot. Two tents and a fireplace or something which spawns on different locations after serverrestart. Or some lost relief items dropped by an helicopter. Or, or, or... So what do you mean, is that an good idea to give some variety to the Heli crashsites? What types would you wish to see in the game?

This would be great!!! But it shouldnt spawn to often, maybe every third serverstart, and there can be loot for repairing helicopters or something other rare..
