    Weapon Slings/Straps

    I'm pretty sure I remember something being talked about in the distant past about the possibility of weapon slings/straps being added to DayZ for rifles, and other weapons that would be able to use such an item. Whether it be a lootable item, or crafted, would be nice to see this added in the future.. Maybe this is in the works, or even possible. ? I remember when I first played ARMA/DayZ mod back in the day, my first impression of the weapons/melee items just being 'stuck' on your back as it currently is, just looked silly.. I don't even think twice about it anymore as I have got used to it over the years. But it still would be nice to see a weapon strap of some sort being added in, in the future. Not sure how hard this would be to make happen, but it seems like it would be doable. Surely this has been brought up in the past, remember reading about someone talking about it over at /r/dayz a while back..

    You are comparing 2 totally different game engines.. H1Z1's game engine was basically carried over from Planetside 2, thus already able to handle the stress of having a large population of players and zombies. DayZ's engine (Enfusion), while it's core was brought over from ARMA (Real Viruality Engine), is being pretty much completely rewritten in every aspect.. Zeds will make a return to DayZ when the devs get the issues they were having with them taken care of. The Zeds were killing the server performance in their current state, along with the many other issues they had.. so removing them until the said issues are fixed was the best option. And I am glad they are gone for now, and will be happy to see them return when the devs to their thing and bring them back. :) Looking forward to that day..

    Thanks for the vids Weyland! Very nice! I've found a number of the Mi-8 crash sites, but a number of those have been partially sunken into the ground.. with no loot. :/ I have been lucky to find others with loot, but hopefully this will be fixed with an update coming up.

  10. It will fit into the Mountain and Hunting Backpacks, only.. Until they release more backpacks in the future. In it's "rolled-up" or packed form, it takes up 12 slots (2x6). When you deploy the tent, it's 63 slots (7x9).

    Polana massive lag issues

    I was just in Polana yesterday on the exp build and did not experience this lag you speak of. Were you able to reproduce it? By this I mean, did you leave the area then come back and experience the lag? Or try another server and see if you get the same results? Going to check this out again myself on our clan server and see whats up..

    Plan for release of 0.45 to Stable

    I'm hoping it's released to stable soon.. But I am also going to stay patient and have no problem waiting for it to be released to stable, when it's ready to do so. So many goodies with this new exp build. IMO, it's probably the best patch for DayZ SA we've seen yet. :)

    Rubber Experimental Branch: 0.45.12499

    Taking things slow and steady will decrease the chances for rubberbanding, as others have said.. Especially around/in buildings. Server side low FPS is the main culprit it seems, which this is effecting all experimental servers as you all have experienced. Slowly walking, not running/sprinting, inside of buildings will save you the annoyance of rubbberbanding. It does work.. I've not had much issue with rubberbanding in the open areas, i.e., woodland and plains, etc.

    AKM has been added?

    AKM is in the exp build.. seem some vids/streams with players using it. :) Unless it's been taken back out for whatever reason. Hope not tho. It did sound just like the SKS from the vids I have seen of it tho.

    Not sure on weapon stats, but as for the optics, The PU scope will fit it, and I'm sure the PSO-1 will be coming for it as well. That'll be a given. along with any other side mounted scope that may be coming. :)

  22. While the one hit kill to the Zeds is nice to some, I kinda like having to take multiple wacks at at a zed before it goes down. Take away that easy button option of the one hit melee kill, please. As I am one for not making the game too easy.. Much rather have a little bit of difficulty when dispatching the zeds.

    I'm sure all the said issues will be addressed down the road.. And it's a long road till DayZ becomes the 'finished' product we all are waiting for. Each update bring new goodies for DayZ SA, and fixes here and there.. just have to be patient while the major issues are sorted out and fixed. I'm in for the long haul with DayZ SA, and enjoying being a part of the progress being made with it.
