Apple trees have unlimited apples. So there is a start if you can't find any food. This is also the same with berries. There are plenty of guides in the forum that you can look at for learning more about how to find food fast. Try a little search on how to find food, etc. Good Luck!

Hello Community, So, i decided to see if it was possible to stay alive in the middle of the city called Berezino aka "the deadly crossroad" at a full 1st person server. I made the suicide posture after having scattered all my gear around where I was standing. Then, I waited to see what would happen. The results, kind of surprised me a lot:) Ps: somehow my head glitched out, making it look like I had already killed myself. First person runs by. He starts looting some ammo and food after carefully looking around several times. Same guy, lurking in the windows :D Still alive and second guy comes along Hiding by the tiny shop. I'm guessing he is also wondering wtf is going on. After two or three minutes of scoping the area out, he decides to pick up some loot I'm guessing he is pretty sure it's safe :D Still alive and encounter another guy, but he drifts off quite fast. Just minutes after two guys come to check me out Getting really close now :D A zombie comes along just after they leave One of the guys leaving decides to help me out Then he hits me with the same axe, but decides not to kill me. This is where i start to roleplay a little :D Another guy comes along some time after, not quite sure what to think of me i guess. Still alive and a hello to the forum, while another guy pops by The red guy pays me a visit again Seems a group of friends are gathering around me now There is mercy after all :D After an hour in Berezino, in the middle of the most dangerous place to be, i actually found some people that did not kill me on sight. Not only that, one guy bandaged me and another guy wanted to know if i needed help to move again. Any of the guys could have at any moment pulled the trigger. So, what other ways to finish this story, then with a leap of faith. :D Going down. The end:)

Running headfirst in, yeah, must say I have experienced that sometimes:) I do believe 1PP server is more friendly. It's easier to get in a fight in 3rd person when you get more overview and also because of the fact that the majority of people play on this type of server. Also, it's much harder to play this way and just that might scare people looking for easy kills or fast action away. The one downside that I can think of right now on playing 1PP is that you can't look at your character from a distance. Only way is to tab. I tried to do something similar once by running around in a pink outfit. I got a horny crazed axe wielder running after me. Go figure! :D

Well, just applied to Beck's Privateers, so will be interesting to see how it goes. Looks like a great community by what I have read/seen to far :)

Very nice day. I'm usually playing more of a bandit style right now, but, what do you know: I met a friendly guy who helped making me a splint. We teamed up and after just two-three minutes we met two other guys who also wanted to join our group. Completely random people, anyone could have decided to kill the other, but we all just fall in love i guess :D . We added each other on steam and had a blast as a group:)

Killed some, died some. Pretty average :D

A very nice thing about being a lone wofl and coming up against a large group is that they tend to care for each other. If you hurt one person, there seems to always be that one guy that tries to bandage/splint him. This lead to a good opportunity for repositioning and exploiting the situation. @sloasdaylight Your avatar is hilarious! :)

Being a Lone Wolf in this game is pretty hard, especially when you are up against a group of people. Very easy to loose track on one of them and end up getting killed. That said, I'm getting better and better for every day, more patient with my shots and to my surroundings. I'm also getting less and less anxious when I see that I am outnumbered and more likely to strike in a aggressive way, instead of trying to hide/stay hidden. With 500-1000 more hours in the game, I am pretty certain I will be of much annoyance.

Well, you can kill them with your fists, but I would recommend finding something that can kill them faster, especially since people might notice the zombie following you. Also, two people cluttered together looks bigger from a distance, so you might also not want to cuddle for to long with a zombie in the open. Melee weapons that you can use: Sword, Axe, Fire Axe, garden hoe, Sledge hammer, pick axe, hockey stick, and so on.

Nice video, just opened this again since i actually thought about writing almost the same tip :D Mine is just a tad different in that it's the prisoner that uses the burlap sack on his head. This will make raise suspense even more i think:)

Zombies hardly bothers me at all. I do tend to enjoy using them as bait or target practice. Sometimes i will gather up a horde of them and hide them inside a building :D

Meeting people in Dayz is like rolling a dice and asking for a six, while all the other eyes will have a high chance of getting you killed.

Zig zag up a hill, close doors after you while running (most does not work though, since zombies can clip through) and pick up a weapon while running. You will have a high chance of finding an axe in one of the sheds scattered around cities and small towns. You can also use your shirt as bandage if you do get hit by a zombie while you are picking up a weapon or before. You can survive a long time while bleeding. When it comes to food, there will almost always be food left in buildings players have looted. Most players just do a fast scan and pick up what gives them most nutrition. If you look close enough, there will most likely be leftovers like tomatoes, potatoes, etc. Also, most of the best loot is just meters away from the main roads. Take a little detour, you never know what you will find:)

Well, kind of. You still need to work for it if you want to get some gear/ammo, while avoiding potential death traps on the road.

Quite a trip/tip you have there:) I run to Dubky whenever i spawn not far from it and get geared up pretty fast. Takes me about 15 minutes from spawn location to have melee/ranged weapon, food/water/ammo. I'm all for instant fighting, so i don't run the rest of the route. That said, it's a fast and efficient route to take.
