I hope you're kidding.. There's no risk in balota.. you just spawn, run there, if you die.. fuck it.. just get another spawn there. Then you have kids running back to bodies, freshspawns randomly spawning around you.. .It's BalotaField 4 (quoted from someone else) ... Soooo stupid and boring. Noone goes anywhere else.

I agree. I thinking there really should be a max of 3 barracks (not with current loot system of course) .. 2 at nwaf, and 1 at neaf (or somewhere east.) I don't think firestations should spawn ANY assault rifles... I don't understand the logic in firestations having any guns at all.. For anything less than 10 minutes there shouldn't be assault rifles, etc. As you go farther from the spawn, (ie north) the weapons should become more powerfull. Finding an m4 within minutes is so stupid.. defeats any reason to go north. Balota obviously needs to go. tldr; Remove all military loot from the souths/spawns.

I can't read the degrees for shit... I use them all the time with my squad when in firefights.. I understand and get immersion/realism.. but people need to take a step back and remember this is a video game. If you want real life features.. step outside. I think there are MUCH bigger concerns in dayz than shitting/pissing functions, pulling out your compass and stuff.. it's a video game.. -
Why do people think there would be more civilian weapons than military?

Eh.. I imagine walmart would be completely empty.. but either way, all the weapons have to go somewhere right? IE: military weapons just don't disappear.. also military personal (trained in killing live, function, returning fire hostiles) should have no problem against a zombie walking 2 miles per hour... what exactly happens to all those military personals and weapons? Maybe I'm in a unique situation, but I have a brother, dad, sister, and brother in law (just immediate fam) that has access to .50 call weapons (and above) (ie brother flies c-130's and operates anti-aircraft weapons for the Coast Guard.) I think REMOVING military weapons is completely absurd and unrealistic. I just doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever that the most trained and heavily armed people die and their weapons completely vanish. :/ In dayz.. doesn't only 1% of the population survive? that being said... 16 guns per 1 person.. that's a shit ton imo. I think statistics would be fine (even for those worried about immersion, consider a journal feature... )

I have noticed stuff sways.. but I don't see it in uniform. Meaning it sways because of a fixed animation. In 3D terms, it doesn't have any softbody properties. The sway doesn't reflect the hypothetical "wind' from what I can tell. I will try to go in game and do some more testing. If the objects in game ARE softbody, ie effected by an in game "wind" feature, then I'm pretty excited. I would love to see a feature like that, but I can't imagine the servers being about to handle that amount of demand on the CPU. It would indeed make sniping much more enjoyable and realistic.

The loot tables have been states they are going to change. It's only the most common right now. Not in the future. They most likely made it this common for testing purposes. -
This is what I have recorded.. I actually have more recorded at around 700 meters, but too lazy to edit/upload. I'll let someone else do it during their holidays, but I would like to see someone have a test at a static object. The thing is, I'm ok with the gun swaying, etc, but the crosshairs need to match the sway, which currently, they don't.

This. Realism can't be an argument for third person. If you want to make the game realistic I better expect to have everything, i mean literally everything, i could do in real life in the game. Just like he pointed out. It's a video game, not real life. I prefer third person for a lot of reasons. Personally, I've been told it takes more skill to play on first person only servers, I found myself living longer with more kills. Everyone is equal on whatever server you choose: 1st or 3rd -
Why would they magically come out of their cases and lay in the middle of a street? Lets say the door magically grow legs and come out to the open. We should have ways to clean and restore them. ONLY REALISTIC. The realism argument goes both ways. Tired of it.

No, the first shot definitely went above and not left. There isn't a wobble with the crosshairs. That's the problem. If the crosshairs wobbled, i could use some skills to combat it, and make the shot. BUT THEY DON'T. Also there is no wind. If they want to add wind to bullet factors, i better be able to use sand dust, trees, bushes, clothing, mirages, etc to be able to determine wind.. just like in real life. In the American Irac war, the navy seals use mirages to determine wind. So I better see it in this if they implement wind affecting bullets. This is getting out of hand with the realism and it's becoming not fun. You can't make a game 100% realistic.

If you don't want to be KoS'd, then don't be seen. YES, that means actually leaving elektro/cherno/balota/THE COAST... Oh, and you should probably avoid NWAF and the military camps. Just go be a boyscout and do nothing in dayz. Sit around building campfires... killing the occasional zombie. How does that should like fun? Seriously, zombies are not a threat in this game whatsoever. If you don't want to kos, then don't , but you can't expect everyone to form to your play-style. Playing boy-scout simulator is god awful boring.
