    the melee system is crap

They might be able to code melee from scratch later on, I really don`t know the engine specifics but my guess right now is that it`ll always be clunky like the engine they use. Quality of life has grown immensly since mod though if you look at inventory and moving through doors.
  2. And what`s your point? What exactly are you contributing here besides bashing Rocket? Because so far you are throwing around random accusations without any specifics that lead nowhere.
  3. Don`t buy into alpha state games if you are dissapointed by wipes... It`s that simple really.
  4. From reddit by Rocket: Source and also further insights from people that actually know what they are talking about in subcomments: http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/1t5vp7/hacks_are_already_happening/ce4ukpj

    the melee system is crap

Hammer and shovel didn`t work at all for me, but knife was excellent - killed 2 zeds easly with that one. Or maybe I just didn`t raise the knife. Who knows... :D

    Idea: Random Air Drops

I`m not familiar with any other surival sandbox games but I know that this airdrop card has been played out in several other types of media like anime and movies for example. By no means it`s an original idea. Also, I concur! I would very much enjoy these rushes for supplies and the conflict that arises in such situations. I support any good ideas for mechanics that break routine.
  7. Server software is written by predicting the future by eating a lot of rotten kiwis of course. Rocket clearly doesn`t know what he`s doing despite creating DayZ and consistenly improving upon the formula.
  8. All hail the wipe! Sad about losing my compass though.
  9. I believe that the price will get higher as development continuous so right now it`s cheaper than the beta and eventually released product.
