I just dont think chickens should be the nail in the coffin as to not ever wanting to craft ammo for a bow. I hope they increase the numbers at best. I mean they did say the improvised bow would be one of the "FEW" options available for survival.

But at the very least they should be the most numerous of domesticated animals. Wouldn't you think?

They seem REALLY hard to find in Dayz. Been looking in open fields and stuff to try and find some to make improvised arrows. Is there rarity even worth the hunt depending on how many feathers they yield? I wanna try to find some but its becoming like finding a needle in a haystack lol! xD

But this is why you conserve ammo and use it wisely. Hence the survival aspect. XD And use your melee even against glitchy desync infected.

Ok no one wants your farmer fresh equipment. We can still have all that high tech military gear it just DOESN'T have to be over exaggerated as you claim them to be. There is a certain logic behind having over the top rare hard to find weapons that give players a reason to survive and hunt for. And also you CANNOT deny there existence even in a fiction country based around REAL weapons. Half of the elite weapons you might even find in normal military bases but that doesn't mean they have to work. They could all be at least ruined for the most part and maybe find one gem out of the weapons storage. Hence why i think different grades of guns needs to be introduced so we can put those cleaning kits to good use finally.

Depends but definitely trying to farm for anything like a High Capacity vest or Press vest is a real pain right now.

Untill LMGS pop in than that AKM/SKS/CZ rifle ammo can be put back to good use again lol. I hope if they put the LMG in crouching and ultimately going prone give the most damage and accuracy to the weapons though.

I would have to disagree. Almost every infected i encountered was felled in ONE shot and no more than one shot. If your shooting in 3RD person that could be the case. But if you go FPS when shooting and use the aim option with the shotgun you do much more accurate and greater damage with the long barrel version.

Yeah but i play both Xbox and these kinds of games all the time. So you REALLY CANT just muddle everyone into one type of category of gamer. I also hand no idea the country Poland was in the game as well..... XD

Off topic: Yeah but buying military gear in the USA and wearing it wont get you arrested. Using exotic military weapons ether band by some states or that you need a special permit for will lol.

The ones that stand up all the time and attack you wont HOWEVER in some rare cases the crawler zombies can mess up legs and boots if your not careful about it.

Unfortunately your best bet for not loosing pristine gear is staying out of towns or using guns more often. Thats all i can really give you guys as a tip that want to keep everything fresh. But its rather boring if you avoid every single town so i mean if its common gear i understand. But for high capacity vest and rarer items i can understand the frustration.

So your telling me entire military bases and outpost would have no left over military carrying gear whatsoever? Its a little unrealistic to not want something that would be so common place in those areas for fear of being outdone in terms of slot storage. You gotta give ppl more than just mountain packs to hunt for. To be honest those bright colored mountain packs should be more so found in towns than in military areas.

Fake or not they really need a rare mountain camo pack. Or at the very least Alice Rucksacks and the heavier military back packs.

Which is a good thing. But i remember seeing a picture of a mountain pack with camo to. Probably has yet to be put in but i still cant wait to get one.

Maybe because the game was NEVER meant to be a straight up FPS slug fest. Idk maybe they intended to make this thing called a SURVIVAL game.

Rule of cool doesnt apply when your running trip over and impail the spiked bat into your body. The coolness factor is fine but the functionality would be terrible. Its not that its not possible its the fact that it is impractical. Would you really want to risk putting the nails back into place every few minutes with infected blood on the nails and no way of cleaning it if its not available? Sure maybe but you'd have to think of long term effects when running around with something like that.
