Also i guess they took out the infected again till latter? I haven't run into any in quite a bit since earlier this morning. I actually managed to cripples ones legs and have it crawl after me. Was some really creepy stuff right there. XD

This is not 100% true though outside in the realm of reality. In reality those dried and canned foods will last much longer than anything fresh you find. Meaning calorie consumption needs to be toned down allot more than what its currently at. A canned food should be able to last you 3 days tops if you portion it out good. Dried food like meats and berries even much much longer. Fresh meat needs to start spoiling within the hour under extreme conditions of heat maybe a little longer if the weather is colder and the same with fruits and vegetables. In fact without some kind of portable refrigeration tech there should be no way in hell you should be able to hold onto that food as long as you can without consequences. The way the food plays out is not very realistic yet. It still needs allot of work if you want to compare this to what happens in real life with how we lug around food in game.

So don't get into melee fights with infected. I contracted some kind of infection from a wound and died a very slow death. The infected seem allot more quite now so you really have to watch out. Meds seem to be rarer not sure what was needed in time to cure it.

Because zombies/infected. Thats pretty much it. I was also promised tacos in game but there were none to be found........ THE INFECTED ATE THEM ALL! 8(

Well even if its advanced crafting, crafting in general needs to be a reliable primary source for tools and survival. Anything manufactured should be more of a luxury only because its made to last longer or just more durable in general. Even being able to actually manufacture items should be under advanced crafting i guess lol. You know being able to come up with your own power supplies and what not.

Im just saying there needs to be other ways to make tools considering manufactured ones might be harder to obtain latter on down the line. Even if its not as good as a manufactured item.

But finding items like rope or a knife shouldn't be as rare as it may be in some cases. Some specific common items can be allot harder to find than they currently should ever be as some ppl have pointed out. yes there are ways to get around things as you have mentioned but it can be equally as boring when you cant even hardly find the common items needed to get off the coast let alone anything else. To hunt you need a gun or a bow. To make that bow you currently need rope and you need to chop down a tree. What would happen if they made axes extremely hard to come by? This is why stone axes and other improvised tools need to hopefully come into play. In case of situations like some ppl are finding. This however does not excuse somethings as you have mentioned like straight up refusing to do things to keep yourself alive. I just think its extremely silly when you go into high urban areas and cant find even a piece of scrap metal to make a tool you might need even though metal is like EVERYWHERE you can forge with.

Personally i think the design choice is rather lame that everyone is immune to zombie infection. Zombie infection needs to be just as hazardous as any other form of disease or virus. That way ppl cant pass off the infected as just a "joke" as many ppl like to put it sometimes.

Its pretty obvious though hes not a hunter or a forager/minimalist lol. Or maybe he is but its strange apples seem to be his main focus of complaining. I prefer canned food to over all this other hunting bullshit but i can see they want things tested for various reasons. Different strokes for different folks.

One of the MAIN ways i want to be able to craft things is via bone and stone. They are both very reliable resources for making tools with such as hatches and knifes. We definitely need a bone axe as well as a stone axe for cutting things down. They may not be as good as a manufactured one but we need to have options until we can find a more reliable tool. Same goes with the knife. The next upgrade from the stone knife should be a bone knife, etc.

Yes but you DONT have explosive arrows yet in H1Z1 so its a rather even playing field.

Yeah this seems to be the biggest part of the gaming experience the developers are probably having a hard time tackling. On one hand if you make loot spawn to easy ppl consider it to easy and not a challenge with survival. On the other hand if you make things spawn less at a ridiculously slow lvl especially for common house hold items like spoons and what not than it just becomes impossible to survive off of improvision in general until they put in more stone tools we can work with. What im saying is we need more caveman tools to compensate for the lack of manufactured ones.

Lol im playing right now and iv only found like maybe 3 or 4 tops. XD Even kitchen ware shouldn't be so rare in a town.

Finding tools SHOULDNT be a fucking struggle. I can understand other items but what the fuck is some one going to do with 20 hammers and screwdrivers hording them all? lol Just basic tools shouldn't be as damn rare as they currently are at the moment.

Thats really kind of discouraging though knowing that if you don't get on right when patch day hits your screwed for the long haul for quite awhile. I can understand if it would be like that in real life but in real life theres ALWAYS something you can find around to make use of in some form or another. Tools are not that scarce in general.

So since the SVD is making is debut in game i think this would be a cool alternative to have. Just as rare as the SVD and even uses the SVD 10 round magazines however its made out of all wood just about and can use the bayonet function for close ranged combat. It uses the PSO 1 scope so i could definitely see it sharing SVD ammo as well as sharing the PSO 1 scope in general And since we have allot of ppl that get hard over Russian wood guns i don't really see why not. xD LMAO

Not everyone wants an M4 though ppl want variety with same caliber weapons. No matter how moddable or none moddable the weapon may be. And its an M4A1 not a standard M4 lol. In fact i wouldn't mind the regular M4 model in game myself.

No i want these rifles to. I think its silly how ppl want to skip around these EXTREMELY common military weapons.
