Thank you thats pretty much how i feel. Atm its ALL about stopping power not versatility of the weapon or how easy the ammo is to obtain. Unless they start adding in more mechanics besides bleed that can kill a player with guns like this.

Yeah ill change my mind on the fighting and gun play once they iron out the clunky shit but for right now the guns kind of a death sentence lol.

If everyone wants the game ubber realistic i expect infected to die from raw chicken lmao. Lame but hey thats what happens.

It needs to be ineffective for for ballistics. Its not very practical for zombie slaying or ppl if you have to chamber every round you fire. If the mags become hard to get its going to be one of those items your going to pass up regardless. Firing the damn gun currently will attract every zombie in radius to you almost as much. And if your telling me you can kill everyone and zombies while chambering the thing until you find cartidges all the more power to you i guess. Also no if you keep on the move you really never have to run into anyone period unless your hitting coastal towns all the time.

I guess i just find it unrealistic that the .22 can instantly knock some one out wearing full ballistics and any place on the head can knock them out period.

I tried the SKS on tester server hard core and it STILL functions just like the regulare server you dont need to have a clip. Just insert the 10 rounds manually. If you painted it than yes its bugged painted atm.

Yes i will because i can just use my fist or melee which are more silent and effective at times.

Wearing ballistics should still be a HUGE factor in this. A .22 should not penetrate ballistic helms and jackets. You forget to take in this factor the only areas they should be able to penetrate are exposed areas such as the front of the face OR the arms and legs.

Plus everyones going to pass over a shit gun like this unless they absolutely have no choice period lol.

The point of this thread is no ones going to even consider using the damn gun without a clip period so ppl are going to skip it. I know i am currently at the moment. It just is not an effective enough weapon at long range. And is not logical for this games play quite yet. Now i definitely see this as a starting weapon for most players but anyones whos trying it now and if the damage stays the same is just going to skip over it UNLESS zombies start doing allot more and you absolutely must as a death wish use this crap gun. If ppl fix it and make it better than yeah more ppl might consider it. But even if ppl are forced to use this weapon im pretty sure they are going to prefer hand to hand combat over the weapon until they find a better gun. My machete or fist is a better go to weapon than the .22 atm. Im honestly at this point not going to put faith in bows or throwing weapons ether. And if this riffle is a glimpse at future crafting weapons power im just going to skip crafting weapons all together.

After seeing how low powered .22 weapons are im not sure i want to run around with any kind of bow as a main weapon lol.

Ill say it once and ill say it more. AKs are over used in every single type of gun game its good to see some other odd stuff pop up.

you should be able to craft splints with the fire wood as well if you have something like a fire axe or splitting axe.

I wouldn't be surprised if you see ppl QQing that a .22 can take some one out faster than the new AK 47 lol. Currently those gun calibers can knock ppl out in one hit.

But if there wearing ballistics helms a head shot should not penetrate like was said earlier unless it was directly on the open face portion and the player was wearing no heavy mask protection. It would take fare more skill than the .22 alone than one head shot. Without a helm i could see it but with full ballistic gear the only portions vulnerable should be anything exposed besides those armored portions. This is ALSO where different caliber types come into play. Certain military grade rounds beyond .22 should be able to effectively penetrate armor easier. Lumping EVERY single ammo type into one damage category is a BAD idea and kind of lazy on there part if you think about it. Yes i understand its more resource time invested that could be put to other things but if you want your game to be REALISTIC in terms of guns than caliber STILL plays a huge roll in combat as well as armor and ballistic types.

I think overall armor system for ballistics needs more tweaking and working on. And they really need to test the gun damage out more before just placing whatever in. I expect the next high caliber military weapon they come out with possibly the AK or whatever to be lower damage than what it actually can do in real life. Thats going to cause some rage when some one with a .22 takes down some one with an AK lol.

Or the current guns we already have like the SKS and M4A1 lol. Hell even the FNX is better than the .22 lol

yeah iv been spawning all over the coast which is nice. I still have yet to spawn on the west coast side though which i understand since military loot is easier to obtain however the variety is still nice.

Yeah but your at a disadvantage regardless if the person has an SKS or anything higher end caliber. Even an FNX will be more leathal.

Yeah the Sporter is EXTREMELY disappointing and i not even sure i would take it for hunting to be honest especially if they put zombies all over the map and hordes even.
