What upgrades should I make on my PC?

Thanks. Yeah I figured that, I'll just save up and get the whole thing.

What upgrades should I make on my PC?

Thanks. Well I will need to buy a new motherboard anyway so which one would you suggest?
  3. So today I played DayZ standalone for the first time and I was really unhappy with the performance, since my computer is getting really old and the hardware is getting very outdated. I decided that I should upgrade my processor and graphics card. I researched a bit online and found that the "GTX 650 Ti Boost" could work good for me since I have around $ 200 to spend on my graphics card. Is there a better choice for the price? What processor would be good along side this graphics card to run games such as DayZ Standalone smoothly (I would prefer not to go over $200 on the processor either if possible)? And finally would I need to buy/adjust anything else in my setup to work with the new parts? These are my current rig: Windows Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz Graphics Card: GeForce 9600 GT Total RAM: 8.0 GB
  4. So basically a long time ago I got a global ban on the DayZ mod on my main steam account. Afterwards I bought another copy on another steam account and I have been playing on that ever since. I want to buy the standalone but I would much prefer it on my main steam account (the one that i'm banned on the mod). So do if i buy it on my main steam account will i be banned?
  5. Thank you all for the replies. Like I said before, I don't need an excellent experience, I simply want the game to be pleasantly playable and since DayZ is the only game I am currently playing on PC, it would not be worth buying a whole new PC, I just want to upgrade to so that I get more fps.
  6. Hello, So I've been playing DayZ for over a year now and up until now I could stand the lag I'm having but now I decided to look into upgrading my PC to achieve better performance. I usually get 10-25 fps while playing normal DayZ but then if i play mods such as Epoch or Breaking Point I get no more than 15 fps. Some servers are really laggy for me and some are a bit better. I have a good internet connection so I don't think that's the problem but my graphics card and processor are quite outdated. Here are my specs below so please tell me what I should upgrade and what new parts I should buy, just remember my price range is only up to about $250 and I would like to get at least 40 fps on all servers so I don't need anything too powerful, I just wish to play the game smoothly. Thanks :) Windows Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz Graphics Card: GeForce 9600 GT Total RAM: 8.0 GB
