    So, first of all, you want to have a little server for just you and your clan buddies... maybe a few more people? You do understand that's not why the devs wanted people to host servers, it was so that everyone had a server to play on. Sorry, you just come off as arrogant to me, and going by your last statement, most likely is arrogant. If you weren't going to listen, er read, or acknowledge other's opinion to what you thought, then why even start a topic for it? Its like asking for directions when you're not even going to listen to it.

    Thats exactly my point. Maybe instead of b*tching to Rocket, which can't really do anything about the hacking problem, you should A) Deal with it, B, Quit, or C) Code your own anti-cheat engine. What? Can't do the last one? Neither can I. I bet you didn't even read my post, or do you agree with everything else I said? Or do you not have a counter argument. I'm pretty sure its the first one since you just come up with an arrogant response almost instantly. I'm not saying this couldn't or won't happen, I'm saying that you would probably need to pay for a private have on top of the server you're paying for. That way no matter what people do, it wouldn't effect the people the people that don't b*tch and complain. Yeah script kiddies suck, but it happens in ALL mmos. Maybe not wide-scale as this, but BI didn't even think about hackers when creating a simulator. I don't know, maybe I'm being biased because I have yet to get killed, teleported, or effected in anyway by a hacker in the one month I've been playing DayZ.

    The only way this would ever happen if you pay for a private hive, also. Like people said before, even people that "apply" could just go and get the best gear and log to a different server. Not all servers would be locked by the highly unlikely chance rocket does give the greenlight to lock servers. The main problem is that this is in alpha. And that's actually relevant to the hacking problem because once this becomes a full, standalone game, it'll have its own engine making most of the scripts not useable. If you don't want to run a server for DayZ than don't. Plain and simple, they're are already more servers than there are players. Sorry if I came off as blunt, its just how I get my opinion across.

    "FRIENDLY" is bullshit

    I used to be like you, I think we all were. You see, banditry isn't a choice, well for some it is, but mostly on this game, its a plague. I always used be; "Hey, I'm friendly!" I got shot to many times by doing so, so now its "If this guy gets any closer to me, I'm going to shoot him." I do come up to people that's unarmed/have a hatchet sometimes, but if I say "Friendly" and he doesn't say anything/just walks away, I'm going to shoot him because he isn't friendly, and if he gets a gun and I'm still there, he's going to shoot me.

    Wow, I wish I had luck like that... I only found a downed heli once and even then there wasn't any loot on it.

    People seem to think that if this actually happened, you would team up with random people... which would most likely never happen. You might be with friends and family, but that's it. Besides, the main problem is that there's no real reason to team up with people currently, I heard Rocket is working on that now, but seriously, why would I team up with you? I don't go out looking for people, but if you get anywhere within 100 feet of me, I'm going to shoot you...

    DayZ equals Sociopath's/assholes

    This guy do realize that the point of this game is to die right? Well its to survive, but you CAN'T survive forever. You will die, whether it be by another player, a zombie, or something stupid like vaulting over a cliff and falling to your death. But you seem to think that everyone in this game kills for the hell of it. If you're close to a player with a gun, they will shoot you. Its killed or be killed, they don't want to lose the stuff they get either. But more importantly, its a GAME. I hear people saying "Oh saying a game is not a good excuse", but it is. People have fun trolling people on the internets if you haven't noticed. Just because some wants to ruin someones fun on a game doesn't mean they're going to get up a shoot someone for no reason IRL. I don't see the logic there...
  11. Well, I was in cherno's grocery store. I was looting when I heard shots near by. I went to the corner in the back room and waited for somebody to come in. I waited about 5 minutes and right when i was about to leave, someone spawns right in front of me. He didn't see me. I thought "Wow server jumper?" and fired 5 shots into him. He had a lee enfield, food/drinks, hunting knife, and a map. I got lucky and was able to either A) Teach him a lesson, or B) Atleast made him start over.

    Okay, time for my thoughts other than the spawn time bug; One) Fine increase the attack power, fine with me. Hm, increasing their attack range? Okay that's fi- wait...what are their arms extendable now? *sigh* Whatever :dodgy:. But if you're going to buff them, that much, you should decrease their speed. Zombies decay, that also mean the muscle tissue in their legs decay, thus making them slower than the average human don't you think? Two) I kind of like the new visual rage, I mean I doubt that you can just walk right past a zombie that's staring right at you 5 ft away, but like I said, they're stronger now so their speed should also be lower to at least a jog. Three) Starting with no weapon? Again goes to what I said above, they're stronger yet we don't even start with a weapon. I guess you can run and hide inside of a building. But what if you walk outside and a zombie sees you? You'll have to run back to the building you just came from. I think that's about it. I'm glad Rocket is making changes like these now instead of when the mod is done/ if it becomes a stand alone game.
