Why would you leave the North-east corner? Ever?
hellcat420 replied to maninthewall's topic in General Discussion
well a lot of people go inland because this game is about survival, not playing cod with zombies in the background. getting into firefights gets boring pretty quickly with the crappy gunplay this game currently has. -
when will base building start in the SA ?
hellcat420 replied to dgeesio's topic in General Discussion
because its more fun to build your own then modify something someone else built. besides that, who the hell would want to set up shop in a town(other than people who are here for the sole reason of deathmatch), thats just asking for trouble. -
go live in the woods

that depends. does killing myself out of boredom so i could start over as a fresh spawn count against staying alive?

making people server hop for vehicle parts is a really stupid idea. this is the kind of dumb crap that makes private servers more popular than public servers.

What should be the civilian 5.56 rifle ?
hellcat420 replied to gibonez's topic in General Discussion
gun cleaning will most likely be important, since they gave us cleaning kits. the piston ar is more reliable, needs less cleaning, and is easier to clean, with a small sacrifice in accuracy, and semi only. not only that the piston is adjustable for different ammunition loads, using supressors more effectively, etc. -
What should be the civilian 5.56 rifle ?

my m4 is not the same as the m4 in the game, it is a piston operated m4, it has different performance and characteristics than a standard military m4, and weighs noticeably more as well. -

this is my civilian 5.56 rifle, I wouldn't mind seeing it in game. -
Ammo Calibration : Poll & Discussion
hellcat420 replied to stielhandgranate's topic in General Discussion
more ammo types does not mean more ammo spawns, it mean less of every kind of ammo, which is a good thing. -
i prefer the m4, i just wish they would fix the ridiculous dispersion and put it where it would really be in comparison to the rest of the rifles in the game.

Ammo Calibration : Poll & Discussion
hellcat420 replied to stielhandgranate's topic in General Discussion
i care about guns using the correct caliber. it would be really stupid to have universal ammunition for groups of firearms that are different calibers. -
Should walkie talkies have text chat?
hellcat420 replied to leefriendfield's topic in General Discussion
no, they are not cell phones. -
if you cant handle how sandbox games work i think you should play something else. i will give you one bit of advice tho, if you want to find people who are playing all over the map dont join high pop servers. stick to medium pop or lower servers.
-
that is bs. i run into people all over the map. i can see through your crap, you just want people to be moved to where you want to play, plain and simple. people are going to play where and how they want to, nothing is going to change that.
-
relevant discussion? you just want people to be moved to where you want to play. that is not relevant discussion.
-
or they could be takikng a break until the content they want in the game is added?
-
its more likely that people just dont want to go up north. if you want to deathmatch you need to go to where the people are playing, not cry on the forums for the devs to move the people to you.
-
its a pc game, there is not much that can be done about hackers.
-
i read your whine post, and it deserves no respect. instead of crying on the forums you should take some time to read the posts from the developers then you would know the planned development schedule.
-
5 months is not ages, and its not a long time for a game to be in alpha stage. quit acting like a drama queen. if you dont like it being alpha, go away and come back in january when the game should be in beta.

Am I the only person not looking forward to private hives or modding?
hellcat420 replied to Lady Kyrah's topic in General Discussion
why do you care, private hives will not effect you at all. if people dont want to play with you, trying to force them to play with you will just make them not play the game at all, is that what your trying to do? public hives dont keep teh game true to the devs vision, becasue players get to decide how they want to play the game for themselves, and people dont play this game like dean envisioned it being played so your point is moot. -

that is not true. sometimes, yes a 5.56 shot to the chest could incapacitate someone, but it is not guaranteed, especially with the current ammunition the military uses. search youtube, there are plenty of vids of people being shot by an m16/m4 and then running away. to be perfectly honest, your better off not wearing body armor and being shot by a 5.56 nato round, as the round will punch right through your body causing minimal damage(unless a vital organ or artery is hit). the current 5.56 ammo that is used by military is designed to be used on people who are wearing body armor, which means there is a much, much smaller chance of the round breaking apart or tumbling once it enters your body if you are unarmored.
