Will there be a reward system for characters that survive?
hellcat420 replied to sav112g's topic in General Discussion
any rewards should be lost when you die. -
there are no "pve" servers in the alpha, the server admin tools are not available.
-
the purpose of the alpha is to test stuff, not to be entertained. if you cant handle that quit playing for a year and then come back and check it out again.

So ya food and hunger is pretty messed up.
hellcat420 replied to Slyguy65's topic in General Discussion
you can survive roughly 3 weeks without food, not a few days. -
go buy some vagisil and fix your vagina, your complaining worse than a damn woman.
-
that all depends on the ammunition.
-
nope, i have never even picked one up. i leave them where i find them and move on and keep searching for an m4.
-
you do realize that if they add a skill system it will be reset every time you die and you will have to start over again, right?
-
lol this pretty much sums it up.

people who ghost are horrible at this game and not smart enough to make up for their dayz shortcommings, so they cheat.
-
not when that apartment is under construction.
-
yea it does.

i havent had to kill anyone yet. so far nobody has even seen me. im pretty good at being sneaky haha. well i shouldnt say nobody has seen me, because few have, they just didnt realize that i was a player and not part of a bush.

where are the pics of morgan freeman? last i saw he was being held hostage on a rooftop!
-
im not a fan of leaping 180 headshots so gonna have to say no.
-
fortunatly for me, i know how to use a map and compass, and im pretty good at orienteering. that is why im a big fan of learning the low tech ways to do stuff before i start to use high tech gizmos.
-
well gps units now have maps loaded in them and they do show your exact location on the map screen of the unit, so i have no problems with having to look at the gps unit but, this isnt 1980, gps units are very accurate these days, and they give you a lot more info than just your current coordinates.

well i dont kos so there goes your assumption. but if you want to be a bandit, people fighting back is a risk you have to take. only a moron would think that everyone should just surrender to bandits because they are bandits. actual banditry can never really work in this game because life has no real value in this game. you give me the choice of getting robbed and being left naked or fighting back and maybe killing the bandit, or maybe dieing and all of my gear getting ruined, ill fight the bandit every time. there is no difference between being robbed and being dead, either way you are naked and have to start over. do i care if your gameplay experience as a bandit gets ruined? hell no, and why should i, bandits sure dont care about ruining other peoples gameplay.
-
the map should only have this if you have a gps unit.
-
cooperate? i don't think so, if you pick a fight with me i fight back.
-
i don't surrender. id rather die and all of my gear get ruined than have it fall into the hands of some lazy bandit.
-
well i despise cod so much that i cant even bring myself to joke about it.
-
well to be fair they were overly generous with skyrim, just like they are with the cod titles. skyrim was a decent game, but it was a horrible elder scrolls game.

Why is the Mosin using the wrong ammo?
hellcat420 replied to fortyeight's topic in General Discussion
the .308 winchester has a longer case than a .308 nato. roughly .0001 longer. it is very tough to tell by eye but it does make a difference. i know this because of 2 reasons. #1 the sizes are listed in reloading manuals, and #2 i have measured the cases from a .308 nato and a .308 winchester with a micrometer and seen the difference with my own eyes. i have also shot both out of my g-3 for testing purposes and teh g-3 splits the cases of the .308 winchester, which means the cases are too long for the firearm, while the .308 nato fire just fine with no damage to teh cases whatsoever. edit: i could have them reversed, its been about a decade since i measured the two different .308 rounds. i do know for a fact that the cases of .308 winchester get split in the g-3 while the .308 nato are fine.
