id call them semi-rare. sometimes i come across a bunch of them(which sucks because i dont use them), other times i dont see any of them for a week or two.

that is a completely stupid system. I really hope he rethinks it. if they start putting crap like this in its gonna turn this into a really crappy game. I don't like playing on multiple servers, and I don't like server hopping.

im pretty sure that will only be for public servers. private servers seem to have a lot more freedom.

it doesnt matter if the game is 100% complete. the point is mods do not chase people away from vanilla servers. the players do. if there are no mods, dayz will end up a dead game, just like the dayzmod would be right now if it wasnt for the player made mods for it.

the dayz sa is already a subpar deathmatch game with zombies. that is why the vanilla servers will be deserted when modding happens. as long as there are massive amounts of kos (and the completely childish bandits everywhere)in vanilla, mods will outshine vanilla servers. that is just how it is, and the standalone is no different from the mod in this respect.

here is round 3, go play warz, that seems to be the game you are looking for, dayz is obviously not the game for you.

well this is not the game for you. the warz sounds more like the game you would enjoy. they are not going to make it easier just because you want to play dm on the coast instead of actually playing the game.

a lot of people don't think enough to realize that what they see on tv(especially the news) is not the reality on the ground. the news will show the little bits and pieces that gets ratings, while they will ignore most of whats actually happening. this is what happens when you let news outlets be bought out by corporations and be run for profit.

well there are going to be private hives like that. something i figured out a long time ago after watching the everquest pvp servers die, is that pvp players bring in on themselves. you want to know why a lot of people like private hives, and give up pvp to play pve? because they are tired of dealing with retarded subhuman mongoloids(which is how most pvp players act in video games). its always the same thing, the "hardcore pvpers" act like a bunch of douchebags and chase everyone away, then they cry because nobody wants to play with them. i was lucky enough(or unlucky enough) to have dealt with enough of that bs that it doesnt bother me, but most people would rather go to private servers or pve servers and not have to deal with it at all. you can constantly talk shit, grief people, or whatever all you want, but dont come crying and bitching on the forums when you dont have anyone to play with on vanilla servers anymore. remember, just because the game allows you to act like a giant douche does not mean you should.

well what we want does not really matter that much. they already have our money. what dean hall wants is what we are going to get, since its his game.

if you cant handle the loot grind now, this is not the game for you. the loot grind is going to get worse as the game progresses through development.

well, you have to remember that in all of the movies/tv shows like walking dead that everyone likes to use as a reference, you only get to see about 1% of what the characters actually do, if that, because that is the "interesting" stuff. the rest of the time is "grinding"

well thats what survival is. a long never ending grind.
