I agree, but only if they implement much higher player numbers per server. The only downside with Altis is that its so big that you could run around for hours without finding anyone.

I love it when people use fiction as a reference for how a totally different fiction should be. Not that I entirely disagree, but it is funny seeing how many DayZ players insist upon using TWD as a reference for what would actually happen in the apocalypse.

There are instances in which the colour remains to a degree, but the screen stays blurry. As evidenced by the OP. As Guppy said, treating it as though it were a bug might get you killed. Achieve healthy status if your screen goes blurry. Whether or not you use the bug to get rid of it is up to you, but if you get a blurry screen eat and drink up until you get healthy again. -
It's more the community that are obsessed with DayZ being realistic. I think realism should always come second to gameplay and balance and stuff like that. This thankfully seems to be the approach that they are taking.

Low blood = colour fade Low health = blurry To be clear, the bug is that the blurriness goes away when you click on video settings. It should be blurry it means your health is low. -

I think the blurriness is unrelated to blood, its related to health, is it not? Have you got your char to healthy status? -
Isn't it worth a hotfix? As it could be quite a wait for the next update. The server crashes make it borderline unplayable right now.

I know that those kids should not be playing the game, but the fact that they are is worth a consideration. All I can think of is the bizarre scatological torment and griefing that would inevitably happen.

I think a more in depth food system is a good plan, but I don't think there actually has to be turds modelled and textured by the devs as an in-game object in order to achieve this. Especially not given the amount of children that play this game. Not that it is unsuitable for them or anything, but you know what kids are like when it comes to poop.

I'd like to see various things that can be put together to form a ramshackle camp. Tarps (that can be arranged in different ways) Camo netting Barbed wire Tin cans as an alarm system Fences made from random bits of wood (pallets etc)

Rags take seconds to make, you might as well keep the warmth until you need a bandage. I've never ever died from not being able to make a bandage the instant I start bleeding. -
People don't go inland because they want to interact with people, and everyone assumes no one goes inland. Thus everyone sticks to the same spots.

I got bitch slapped in the face by karma. Playing with a friend, we shot a guy outside electro for shits and giggles. Next thing we're on the rocks near Kamyshovo, and well, I got too near a rock and was subsequently pinged through the air at high speed and then died. That's not the end of it though. My friend guarded my gear as I spawned in and ran back. The server crashed. I lost everything. Listen up bandits. You better not kill anyone. Also for all players, I think you would be advised to leave some beans at the rock so that you do not anger it in future. The rock god has spoken.

That's pretty much what I mean. Sniping is something that should be an art form not a point and click mini game.

I want less ammo. It needs to be so that every shot fired is a wager and a risk. It needs to be so that you want to save your ammo for when you really need it. Not so that we can just shoot every player and zombie in the face four times for the hell of it.

Admittedly my sample size is pretty small, but whenever I've had that oh fuck moment when I've run into a player and we are face to face without knowing of each other's presence, I have been shot. It's happened often enough for me to have decided that the best course of action is not "hey man....[you are dead]" but to shoot them in the face whilst they are still stunned.

If they know where you are they will probably kill you. Stay unseen and in a position where you have the upper hand. If they don't know where you are, but you know where they are you have a massive advantage. I've been shot whenever I've had a surprise encounter. If you randomly bump into someone, it might be best to kill on sight, I think the suddenness and the shock of it causes people to panic shoot.
