  1. Fair enough. Nevertheless I still am uneasy that dean hall will leave his project so early into development, at least get into beta stage before calling quits, amirite?
  2. He never officially said he left Bohemia, all he said was he is looking for people in his new studio, as far as I'm aware.
  3. It's already been a year, and they did hire a brand new studio to help them with the core features, Dean Hall doesnt really seem to be doing much, couldnt he help optimize? These are just ideas, take them with a grain of salt.
  4. If they're taking this long to implement all these new rendering techniques, why didnt they just use the Arma 3 Engine to begin with, and get rid of all the time it would take to implement DX11, since they already did it when making the arma 3 engine?

    About Navigation Mesh Pathfinding

    I was meaning that, for example, a building collapses/get destroyed, would the zombies still be using thier old navmesh path.

I've heard that they're adding NavMesh Navigation to DayZs' Zombies Pathfinding - in order to make zombies for efficient, smarter, and less performance consuming. http://dayzdev.tumblr.com/post/85919354781/the-challenge-and-saga-of-zombie-pathfinding But, This seems like its a static solution - unable to continously update. If this is true, will this cause many problems when implementing base building? Destruction? Procedurally Generated Collision? -I want to bring this to dicussion because I feel it's important that we can know if future possibilities may be limited in this game.

    try reinstalling directx. You can do thsi by going to program files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > Common > dayz > _CommonRedist > Directx > jun2010 > DXSETUP.exe. or try reinstalling microsoft.NET Frameworkc 4.5.1 : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40779

    i think that would work actually, you cant see it because the camera is clipping planes that are within a certain distance from the view, so your view doesnt clip inside your character. Only if they could change that so where is doesnt clip your hat or something. i dunno.

    Yeah, dont post hacks or links to them in the day forums, i dont think the admins wil appriciate this. Also, dont download these hacks, TMCheats steals your CD-Key and sells them.

    Regarding the current zombie AI

    This is the new AI. The reason why the zombies are clipping through mesh is because the zombies havent been "configured" for those buildings/structures, and will ignore geometry. Go to the Tek Building, the fat, wide one with 5 floors, and you can see the zombies wont clip through the walls their, since that building was "configured".

    seriously, if your instant thought is to head to cherno, instead of dealing with what you were givin, then stop playing the game. The reason they made the spawns more varied is to stop people with your mentality.
