"Back on topic please" Anyway, as I have said on my older post the swapping issue right now is annoying, being chased by a zombies and my character stops to swap to my axe that has a hitting range of a jelly baby, anyone found way around this?

Right who is having issues with the current build when using melee weapons? I had 3 zombies on me and was using a fireaxe, could hardly hit them, I had to stand still and bendover slightly just to get a accurate hit on them, this when I was in a gun fight with 5 other players, normally I would have no issues but I only killed 2 out of 5 of them, 1 disappeared and 2 I was tracking to kill. (they killed my teamate, hence I was out for blood) Now half my gear is ruined due to these bugs, I also had the new working weapons bug, had to relog, this is when I had a shot on someone, they should of fixed these issues being putting it on the stable branch, this is no way useable. to me I believe dayz is now bugged, I also thrown my AKM with all attentments and a drum bag due to the G changes, had to remove the command from my control options. So until they fix this, its dayz mod for me. :/

Right I actived my arma 2 cd code on steam and I have the game already installed but steam is trying to force me to reinstall the game again, there a way so I can just run it without having to download the game again? I have two armas II on my steam game list now, both are the same Cd code....

That had nothing to do with it, I figured it out anyway. What to do is the following: 1. Load up Steam. 2. Select Game tab. 3. Select "Active a Product on Steam". 4. Let it go though and start the download. 5. Right click Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead on your game list. 6. Delete Local Content. 7. Go to your Steam Apps folder and you will see a folder with Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead. 8. Now open up your old folder with Arma 2 and move or copy files to Steam Arma 2 folder. 9. Go back to Steam and start the downlaod for Arma 2 on your game list. It will now look though those files and then once its sorted the files, it will download the required files your missing, this will cut alot of downtime on your download and will also carry over your mod files. Then verify your game though dayz commander and remember to change the file directory on your dayz commander settings.

Double tap W will make your character crouch jog, you now have to stand to sprint with double tap W.

Move this back to general please, this not a troubleshooting post, its a general post.

Incorrect, before the patch it was logging from crouch that caused you to pause while changing weapon, before patch being in aiming stance didn't effect in.

I'm not thinking about this as a fps.... /sigh Right here we go, I will have to explain this in a more simple way by using a example.... You have your gun out, your moving around, you see a Zed has aggro'ed you, you stand up and move away from the direction and pull your weapon out, >>>>>your character stops<<<<<<< for a second or two, zombie hits you due to stopping. This is the issue, before patch you could jog while changing items, I can do it in real life, the game had it before patch, hence this is a new bug.

Also the long pause changing from gun to axe is already annoying

Sorry but I use axes in real life for chopping wood, I'm using axes in-game thats about the same size as your torse, it shouldn't be this inaccurate, using axes or weapons that size should hit normally but feel as if I'm trying to do a Riddick and kill zombies with a tea cup.....

Alittle update on my issue with this guy, Paypal were nice enough to reinbuse me with my money due to my long time history using there services, the guy still got to keep the money but at leased my faith with paypal has been restored alitte. Still becareful using this guy.

Avoid this scripter at all costs, he is a crook and paypal won't help you. He has also taken down the scripting services on his website and uses loopholes on paypal to stop me from getting my money back.. I bought his services on 28/05/2014 05:12 BST, got to the point even trying mutliable times trying to contact him and his other members of his clan (Who had no idea how to help him at all and told me he was having personal issues) so I waited and kepted on trying to get ahold of him. After 2 weeks of getting nothing off him, even when he was on Teamspeak ignoring my messages, I gave up and started a dispute, he then claimed that I had access to his services at any time (I have yet to see these services or scripts off him), then produce to claim he edited my server but he couldn't since he didn't have my server details since I was trying to contact him in other to give him my details. Paypal refused to protect me and closed it in his favour, so I reopened it as a service not been done, he then used a loophole to ask for the said item back and send it via phyical mail, even though I had claimed it as a non-phyical item, due to it was a human service, not a phyical item via mail. Paypal basically told me there not much they could do, hence Alex keeps my money, this is shocking behavour from paypal and alex. If you can't do the service alex, don't offer them at all. So guys, make sure to becareful with this scripter, just wanted to warn you.

can a admin please lock this, I'm one of the old leaders of this clan, they shut down half a year ago.

I posted there first and been trying to get ahold of alex for a few days now, seen him log on once but he wasn't on for long, so its hard to get ahold of the guy, also everytime I'm on there is like 5-6 people already waiting to talk to alex, so I would rather find help off som eone who will have the time for it. :) Cheers for the suggestion though!

Right, I returned to dayz a few days ago (5-6) and I've been messing on a few servers and I started to play on a server I played on before I quit and this server was called Epic Havok for the last 3-4 days: 85.214.157.91:2322 with admin called Nadol. Right, all is good and I wanted to be a bandit this time, my character only had a few things on him from my last being on that server, so I went looking for guns to start off and then look for areas to shoot players and take there loot, doing a bandit does best. So I did kill a few unarmed but that was just to get my humanity at a good amount to use the bandit traders. After getting around 10k minus, I focused on armed only and I did let most players get there stuff back (I normally only picked up gold or anything I really needed, like food/water/meds) So today i logged on and I killed a few players that had alot of gold, then I seen a mission pop up around 700-800 meters away, so I though mite as well go to it. I noticed a player killing them or getting shot at, they were getting attacked by a heli npc, so I took out the npc heli with my mark17 SD, so they wouldn't know I'm here. The server went down (didn't notice the server was resetting at the time sadly) After reset I started making my way back to my ural, then I noticed a player aiming at me (or so I though) turns out it was a admin just logged in and was just looking my way but I wasn't to know that, so I killed him, took his vodnik. He started shouting at me over sidechat, saying its for a event testing it etc etc. It turned out to be a vodnik with a mounted antimaterial gun and wasn't allowed on the server, he started giving me abuse by teleporting to me. So I spoke to him basically telling him I wasn't to know and you shouldn't talk to me like that, he basically kepted talking over me, then started calling me a kid. (I'm 27 may I add) I basically said on side chat: Whats the point of giving me abuse when you didn't put up a message in side chat about testing the vodnik or speaking to me in a manner you should be as a admin, if you spoke to me in a better manner I would of happy handed over the vodnik and I would of said sorry then carryed on playing the game. He carryed on speaking to me in a manner a admin shouldn't, so I told him to leave me be and I just ignored him. On my way back to my ural I heard a medical vodnik, I shot at it, killed two players and shoot a few things but left most of there stuff and said they can come and get it, I won't shoot you specially if unarmed. So i did and I even meet one of the guys on my way, he said your a good player and thank you for being a good sport by letting us get the stuff and not camping us. Now nearly off the iland to my ural, using the small hill to give me cover from the large treelines were alot of snipers go to kill, I notice breath effect in one of the trees, I scoped and noticed it was a player and aiming right at me, so I ducked down, moved abit back and moved on him to get a shoot, shot him and got a headshot (Admin killed was called [EH] DJ Macswag, he wasing being abusive towards me, if anything hes really helpful to players and myself) Turns out to be one of the admins and then claims I'm a hacker, since he was only there for five seconds (even though I back tracked to shoot him from a different position, the fact is, this same admin was meant to be across the map helping another player, so he must of teleported to get there, since no way you could get there by normal means that fast. So he claims I'm a hacker, I told him what I did, since player breath is a dead give away and I'm using the hill for cover, he claims I'm talking crap and then bans me with this messaged: "haha idiot hacker, I have proof now" I'm confused, I'm not the best player on dayz but I'm decent enough to notice things, specially movement, visual effects and some sounds. (sometimes I really mess up with gunshots, though my new headset helped this issue) The fact he claims to have proof also amuses me since they seem to have something personal towards me and not acting like admins should do towards other players. edited mistake: I focused on armed only after getting -10k humanity.

I'm mostly doing this so other players can be careful, specially with that one admin, alot of players and admins are really nice, its just a shame that one person can ruin it for others.

Shame that the players that attacked us were hacking and duping, since the Admins caught them. :(

I think Engineers and base defenders should fall on the same role, we been attacked a few times the last few days, so we could use more Defenders/Engineers. We also need more EU/UK based players! D:
