Since we're sharing stories, I saved a dude from 2 Russians in Berenzino once. He was hiding/holding out in a room at the 2nd floor of a building. I quickly figured out what was going on, killed 1 guy who was guarding outside, while his friend was going up the stairs. Went around the block to the other side, sneaked in the back and killed the 2nd guy. The guy at the top didn't wanna come out at first, but I gained his trust and escorted him out of the city.Gave him a saline bag and sent him on his way. Come to think of it, this experience might be the reason why I stuck with hardcore servers only. Makes shit much more real

One of these stories is more rewarding (for both you and your savior) then 200 stories of "I saw a guy, shot a guy" or "Look a bambi, lets handcuff him and kill him, such joy" THAT is why you should never step to the dark side ;)

He lied or he made a mistake, but I still enjoyed the vid :P

Do it and let us know please :)

3D Scopes using PiP (Pictures In Pictures)

Depends on the shooter / technique and the type of scope used, But even with one eye closed you'd have some level of peripheral vision -
3D Scopes using PiP (Pictures In Pictures)
toasted duckie replied to leeroynewman's topic in Suggestions
Want this :) Like how it is in for example Insurgency or Red Orchestra. I'm no game developer, but I can't imagine this being that hard or hardware-demanding to implement. Then again, if the game developers say it is hard, it probably is. :D -
Hey guys, I just had an awesome playing session. After spawning I met a few random guys and we stuck together for some hours. Encountered some action-packed scenarios, survived, shared stories around a campfire etc.. At some point I spotted a small rock in the far distance. I don't know why, but for some reason I felt heavily attracted to the rock and I told the guys we just had to make our way over there. Once we arrived we noticed it was not 'just a rock', but something more. It's a large&tall rock on a hill, surrounded by smaller rocks. I've never seen anything like this and did not know of its existence. We simply named it "the Rock" and sacrificed some stuff for good luck. I don't know exactly where it was, but I think it was somewhere NNE of Stary Sobor. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=345569632 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=345569924

Why are the devs making the gaming so diffcult?
toasted duckie replied to Asheville44's topic in New Player Discussion
:P Okay. I agree, everyone should spawn with a weapon... And a vehicle... And maybe some food/water/morphine... and a bulletproof shield .... and a function to enable like an auto-pilot that takes care of walking and actions... -
Signs of damage (Bruises, Cuts, Bullet wounds)
toasted duckie replied to threedogification's topic in Suggestions
I knew they had been showcased, but haven't read the last dev blog, great news :D I really hope and think that stuff like getting cripled, getting scars, growing (facial) hear etc adds to the immersion and feel of a character, making life more valuable to players. -
Somewhat on the same topic: Is there a point in wearing a raincoat when it's raining? Right now I'm switching from my gentleman whool blacks to a bright-orange HERE I AM! raincoat when it starts raining... Also: I haven't played in a few weeks/months, due to glitches making the game shit to play (not your average alpha-glitch, game isn't running properly on my system due to problems with graphics settings, hope a new renderer will fix) but there's a ton of cool stuff in! :D I'm on a try to live of the wild for a bit :)

Signs of damage (Bruises, Cuts, Bullet wounds)

I hope this gets implemented eventually. And I hope it's done right. Also: beards & crippled walking animations -
Beans :) And some advice, it has nothing to do with bad luck man, you're bringing this upon yourself. First encounter with the guy with the AK. The fact that he's constantly walking around with his weapon raised should tip you off. Then more people come and they fight each other. You decide to interfere with your melee weapon. Another option would have been to hang back and see what goes down. 1 Guy was dead, 1 bleeding with broken legs and a Z hitting him. You could have easily been the winner there ;) Second, why try to fight a horde of Z's? RUN! :D Third: You could smell something was fishy the way these guys greeted you: "Hey, STOP buddy!" Think about it, it's a hostile approach towards an (pretty much) unarmed player. No first contact done in a hostile matter (weapons or the way people talk) will end well. (remember that hostility =\= cautiousness)

The Hunger Games, or how I made and lost six friends in a day.
toasted duckie replied to VIDEOSAUR (DayZ)'s topic in Gallery
Nice, you could have gotten more out of it though, instead of putting a .22 in the guys chest whilst standing in the open field :D -
Where would he get the battery? :P Also, push start. Once the car is running and the dynamo is ok, the batttery will start charging up ;)

Hahaha I hope you were super disappointed wasting your time like that.

The new running animation, Why?
toasted duckie replied to GriefSlicer (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Anyone that has a video of said animation? -
Short but sweet, wish you found a Mosin in the nearby's tho :D
-
Are you serious? If you are, screw the game man. Spend some money/effort on getting friends! :)

Hard Contest - Do you get it? Guess the location.

Neat forum game, will the person with the correct answer place a new challenge? -
The reason why being nice / interact / survive these interactions is so awesome is because it's hard. You get shot in the back, because you haven't acquired the skill yet to let situations play out the way you want to.

I think that you´re a KoS sad guy, shooting at anything that moves, record it and put some music under it and thinking you´re all ´hardcore´, while actually you´re quite the sad DayZ player. The only thing that makes it a little bit comical is the fact that you suck at what you´re trying to do, not even aiming down your sights half the time. Quite the typical behavior for a KoS player, since they try to make up for their lack of skill in just shooting at anyone, to create the false appearance of actually possessing any skill. :)

Cherno - Land of traitors and liars! ( Betrayed )
toasted duckie replied to Toperek1990 (DayZ)'s topic in Gallery
I'm not saying he didn't do well, but he was often completely NOT in control of the situation. The fact that he lived was definitely because he was smart/skilled a some points, but also because he got lucky. -
Hey, all of a sudden my UI resolution doesn't match my monitors native resolution anymore. I've tried fixing it by changing it in the setting, changing it through the cfg file, reinstalling the game etc. I've tried numerous fixes I was able to find online, but none work. I've checked out this thread http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/203970-resolution-problems-read-here-before-posting/ But that also doesn't help. It's like the game is lying to me about which UI resolution it's using....I can't seem to fix it :( Any ideas? Is this a new resolution bug related with .48?
