    Hadn't been in to Chernogorsk in a while...

    Lol it has nothing to do with copy pasting , the games map usually changes every patch (new villages , areas , bases added that change the coordinates of other areas slightly or push things around) but unfortunately every little glitch and overlap they can't see themselves which is why we are here - to help them see all these floating hay stacks and weird double buildings ...

    V3S problems 0.59

    Remove the tires and put them back on, but I've done this at least ten times on stuck buses and was really only able to get the bus unstuck half of the time , as one of the axels or tires will still remain stuck in the earth .

    Yes the vehicles in general need a power upgrade IMO (expect for the offroad) , the bus can't even make it up small paved hills under certain circumstances (small hills with large turns in them, the bus always loses power when trying to turn EVEN WHEN PROPERLY DOWNSHIFTING TO LOWER GEARS). This is something that's fixed by the same experimental bunch , I'm usually glad to help with exp branch but honestly im so frustrated by these vehicles so I am sitting this one out til the fix is up for stable .. Me and my crew have gotten so many vehicles running only to get stuck on small things , invisible things, wheels stuck in the road , not being able to climb small paved hills with twists in the road (even in low gears , and when you're barreling towards a hill at a high gear and downshift when necessary its really just a 50/50 chance if your bus will make it depending on the length and turns in the hill ) . So regardless of them actually being able to drive right now , they truly are more frustration for the average crew just wanting to play - and not trouble shoot the entire play session ...

    Need help choosing a loadout/weapons.

    I'm rolling with an AKM with a seventy five round drum mag , a red nine because it's iron sights and sound effects are badass , and plenty of flashbangs and grenades ... To really maximize on the effectiveness of the AKM you really should try taking single shots at around 100-300 meters at first to get the hang of single firing it , this will help you be less "spray and pray" and more patient with shots just like you were still a sniper , but this way you're more effective at long range and because it's an ak you will always have an advantage at close quarters combat .. The other day me and my squad were around the police station of svetlojarsk , we had just met up with some crazy dude who we assumed was a very smooth talker , he talked us into letting him live (he acted strange at first , we all raised weapons , he smoothed talked out of it lol). So we decided he'd be the perfect negotiator to talk these two guys out of the police station that we knew were somewhat on edge (they shot at our negotiator at first sight). So after a brief conversation he had with them , they murdererd him in cold blood .. He told us this on teamspeak and me and my cousins knew what we had to do : I had my first Cuz sit outside in front of the door , the second had the side door covered , me and the last squad Cuz ran up to the second floor , where the two cowards we're hiding.. After signaling my team I threw a flashbang into the door , it somehow rolled perfectly inside the other door as I retreated back to the main staircase and heard the inevitable horrid ringing , I entered the room again and stuck to the side wall as my cousin sat in the doorway , we unloaded our aks as the two ran out afraid for their lives and blind as a bat . Long story short , whatever weapon you choose , make sure to use it properly ! But I have to say AKM , red nine and grenades are the best load out for me right now, but that will change when I find an FN FAL im sure haha .

    V3S problems 0.59

    V3s doesn't beed glow plug in this current stable (bug) , the only Tires that can be made into doubles is single bus tires I think .. The vehicles are manual transmission now , so in other words you start the truck up and you are in neutral , press Q to downshift to reverse , press E to up shift to any higher gear . The games physics (and manual transmission mechanic IMO) are both in their infancy for these vehicles as many times the tires will get stuck in the earth or the cars will touch something lightly and lose all physics and the power of the vehicles right now is just pathetic .. Be careful with the vehicles they are literally as fragile as glass at the moment , but you can drive them you have to just drive them in very limited places (mostly flat ground areas) unless you Want to trouble shoot around every hill with curves in it , as the torque is not really a good representation of an actual manual transmission truck , far too little power (and traction for some vehicles) at the moment but that's something that definitely will be fixed .. Oh and most vehicles (v3s in specific) can really only go like 50 mph while at top gear because of this exact power issue I just mentioned , most people are in disbelief but I drove the v3s for a long time before this manual transmission patch and it could easily go to 80-90 mph .

    Isn't 30 mins too quick ? And too taxing on the system ? I would prefer to see one hour and thirty mins despawn timer for unmanipulated items !

    Can't wait to find an m4 again ... I remember almost 2 February's ago m4s were everywhere , me and my cousins had so many fights all decked out with m4s , i believe they even accepted bipods at that point ... Wow what a different game we play now :0 , I will search for the elusive m4 as well now guys .

Show me where that was promised , it was NEVER SET TO RELEASE IN 2014 , it was ALWAYS on the roadmap to ROUGHLY BE READY FOR BETA AROUND END OF 2015 ... Obviously we all know that it's been pushed back a few months (and the devs acknowledged that). So Stop spreading misinformation based off of your butthurt !

    Upcoming DayZ modding - Steam workshop

    The things I hope mods bring out are these : new inplemented content that are little but bring tons of flavor to the game like climbing through windows , that wire cutter you had shown , maybe furniture crafting if it isn't in the game by completion , and new maps for sure : I want dayz to be set in America , where it really looks zombie ravaged and has fast food everywhere , stores and apartment complexes , malls as big as mall of America , and state borders :) !

    How to make oven/cook with new UI?

    There's a scroll wheel option after you have put the meat onto the stick when looking at the fire , something like "pose stick towards fire" . I suggest keeping the inventory open to see the texture change there , as I never really see the actual meat change color (maybe I never realized lol)! Bon Appetit!

    How to make oven/cook with new UI?

    You can't put cooking pots directly on fires , nor can you place meat directly on fires (unless you want to ruin them). The only way to cook with a regular fire place is to have a cooking tripod , a stick for a kabob , or upgrade to the stone oven fireplace (not sure if this works ATM, but you may be using the wrong stones to construct it). If you have a cooking pot just find a tripod and you're good to go , if you have no cooking pot break off a long stick from a tree and place your meat on that to roast over a fire . There's only 2 slots that you can put fuel into a fire , otherwise the fuel will become ruined (drop the fuel into the title of the fireplace , not below in the inventory).

    Probably "fixed" in terms of its not happening because of what was causing it before , that doesn't mean that another issue won't cause the same problem though ... A long time ago I heard of and experienced invisible players and zombies , they went away and came back , so that shows that a problem in alpha can be caused by multiple things resurfacing . I for one hope they fixed it completely but I believe we will still see this bug more before full release as it seems like a Desync or player positioning problem :( !

    Stun baton is my go to weapon as well , all you need to do is scour sheds looking for batteries , They are tough but worth it especially if you're also looking for car parts !

    oh my god help me with this sedan please

    You should give up on this server , it's not pogo it's the state of the sedans , the cars wont reset until they are destroyed and me and my cousins figured out if the sedan even TOUCHES something (a sign , a tree , a rock , a building , a curb) it freaks out , loses all physics and starts either sliding uncontrollably or will just do donuts or swerve when you try and drive it (even with 4 pristine wheels). So my advise : server hop (omagash he said server hop !!!) until you find a pogorevka with sedan spawns UNTOUCHED , this is sometimes hard but when you learn the 2 natural sedan spawns in pogo you can server hop until you find the ones that haven't been bumped into objects yet (as I said above , those ones you tried getting out had already bumped into something most likely, whether it was you or someone else , those sedans are bugged now until they explode). Hope this helps , we found over 6 sedans like this (with broken and glitched physics) and we actually figured out it only happens when you bump the sedan into objects . So as soon as you bump It and it starts acting crazy , ditch it and grab all the parts you can and move on . I love this patch , it really makes me feel like we are in an apocalypse trying to get outta dodge ... But the vehicles are somewhat unbearable atm hah !

    So you would rather have them rush the base building mechanic into an almost finished engine instead of simply waiting like they have been to apply it to the new renderer / engine ? Think people , think , this is what developers did , you don't need to try and out think them because they have gone through the right and proper steps , this is EXACTLY how they should have handled the implementation of features ... Sure they could have slowed down on weapons or clothes but with the amount of variation we have now Id gladly have that any day than base building here one week sooner (as it literally wouldn't be pushed off any longer by anything that the art team works on like clothes and weapon design). People seem to think the reason for the delay in the roadmap was because "so many useless items added omagash!" But it wasnt that , it was simply the complex task of removing the old engine and infusing the new engine in, which still has some months to go but not many. Too long don't read : we really just have to stop Doubting the decisions made and start enjoying the tide for God sakes , and if you're one of those pvp only types who are nostalgic for the mod then well you better prepare yourself to quit this game soon because soon enough it won't be for those types of players . We've seen the best way to work a great game into something even greater , but it takes lots of time and testing , this is what all other zombie games should have done and maybe they would be half as great as dayz sa (admit it, even though some other games are great for little dick around sessions , they will never be a long term zombie survival game for those that truly want that genre , those other rushed zombie gsmes will only serve as a pvp shoot em up quick fix , many people like to pretend that's what dayz is too , but it's slowly becoming something else , something better , and all the naysayers including crappy streamers that can't find bullets are hating every second of it thinking dayz Is failing because they csnt get their pew pew fix as fast as they could in previous builds).

    Ehh try not to give any care to the naysayers Jonathan , these guys are so freaking butthurt that their favorite game dayz has taken so long so they will say anything to get people's panties up in bunches . These guys are just truly frustrated people with no real sense of potebtial or where it lies ... If you don't like this "staged ai" (not really staged , free float cameras used all the time , and players will be added in masses when they start publicly testing the animals , THATS when the optimization comes , not before you fucking goof ball ) then go have fun playing h1z1 or one of those crappy top down zombie survival games , where the Wolves get stuck in trees and doors , and the Bears are literally the dumbest fucking ai I've ever seen ... Ya all you naysayers can't say much now that you've seen how much more qualitative these predators are compared to your crap games that you swore up and down were better simply because they threw in a ton of half baked content at the earliest stages of their alpha? Welcome to this thing called dignity and talent , the dayz devs have it , and I wanna say almost every single developer of zombie games out there don't (except for 7DTD and Project ZOmboid, but then again look at those graphics , could you play those games for years on end ? I couldn't ...) What I want to say really , to not put it nicely anymore , is go fuck yourselves naysayers , you and you're friends are gonna be crying when this game comes to full fruition because all the while this game was being made all they could do was bitch bitch bitch wah wah wah game is taking too long devs don't have priorites straight - the reality is though , these are the ONLY devs I would trust doing an open alpha , and especially of this grand scope . I just can't wait to see what bullshit comments people will make the game is fully finished and just blows people's minds away : they will probably still complain of how long it took to come out and disown the game for that sole reason .     Vehicle Parts spawn

    I don't think stacks is a good idea , it makes it too easy ... The most you should find is two tires sitting together , that way you still have to work for the other two . I agree with everyone a little bit , but what espa said is true : we don't want to have guaranteed spawns (like the m4 used to be in fire houses and military barracks) , it becomes too easy to predict where they are . In real life That's a non-issue , but in a video game trying to stay as balanced as possible it seems too easy to have specific spawns , even when they spawn dynamically because then ppl would server hop garages for tires like they do dynamic heli crashes (which further minimizes the areas in which people do server hop , so instead of server hopping after searching a whole town , they would just find the nearest cluster of gas stations and bus depots and quickly find a stack).My suggestion is just a slight spin off of your own : increase the tire drop rate for garages , gas stations, and bus depots greatly (like military guns/ammo to barracks , you need to search them more instead of civilian house to get the ammo you need) reduce [slightly] the drop rate in sheds and allow them to spawn with another tire randomly in all areas , not as a dynamic event but just as a new item so to speak , one that would represent two tires and would need to be seperated ... Maybe they would be tied together looking like they were ready to sell needing a knife to cut, after all an added bonus should always need something extra to get it !

    I just quoted your post as it had the things I wanted to mention : Utes was never scrapped so to speak , it was really just rocket and Matt jumping the gun and adding it to appeal to the masses , but it was realized afterwards (closer to the release of alpha) that it would take up too many resources (and it would have in early alpha , I say they should add it during beta stage if anything!) and that it doesn't fit with the game ... So now we have its replacement : the prison island off of kamenka !Also the empty can thing would be cool but it was discussed as mostly a waste of resources simply because so many cans are used by players. And your idea of tracking is neat but it provides the meta game thought of "oh I see cans here I know someone is close by " when in reality that would never be a solid indicator of recent human presence . Kar-98k was taken from the mod (as many things were at first because the developers just wanted to get things going) and I believe they showed a recent updated image of that on Chris' trello (maybe it was m1-garand ...) to be reintroduced at some point ...

    This is literally the meaning of alpha , not trying to sound like a broken record , but it literally is why the huge "I accept" words are where they are at the start of the game ... If you don't want to deal with wipes , unfortunately the only way to do that is to wait for full release D: !

    My 2 wishes for DayZ

    Cigarettes , bottle of vodka and "dime bag" (definitely weed) was added to the game files a long time Ago, definitely waiting for new animation system / player controller to add that .... We should make a thread called "in game file previews" as I know many many things were already shown fully rendered and designed and it would be useful for newbies to the forums to see ... Here's some things I know they put on the dev tracker , trello , or Twitter that shows what will be in game that they just have to wait on : bean bag guns/ other non lethals , bear and wolf , vodka , weed , cigarettes , electrical generator / substation functioning, new falling animation , procedural generated zombies (or at least new models) , advanced physics demo (just recently put out), new suicide animations, base building and contaminated terrain (shown at recent game expo), photos showcasing the new renderers power (also shown in same status report from game expo week), Improvised tent , and I know I'm forgetting more as they have slowly leaned over the past uear and a half (I wanna saY we saw the bear and wolf at least 8 months ago). Patience is truly a virtue and That's something that usually wears thin when we are waiting for something so great to finish , but anybody with other juicy tidbits that have been previewed that have been uet to be released should post them here , hopefully with screenies/ links !

    Chicken coops

    I like your ideas Aerospace ! But my only suggestions is that we keep the same timers for all the foraging also we would add more chicken coops at each area that contains coops, that will be a decent addition to finding feathers because it's pretty tough keeping up with arrows if you're using it as a primary already , so adding the two diminishing returns at the end would work great for the system , as let's face it , a large population doesn't even bother foraging !
