No one has to accept your frustrated opinions as fact . Real fact of the matter is dayz isn't even released yet , and won't be for some time , when it IS fully released then maybe you can have a childish rant , like you did above to get a warning point . Constructive criticism is allowed but all you did was say "this game is crap , the project is shit , I know way better games than this with more players". No one in their right mind would allow you to spew shit like that on the forums without at least warning you that you're being disruptive and generally a dickhead . Ark is arcadey as fuck and only retains young kids for a little while until Chinese people Infest their server and destroy everything they worked so hard for in under a minute . Rust is the same way but seems to be trying to balance the game , and Unturned ? I can't believe you just mentioned that game , it is in NO WAY near the scope of dayZ and never will be , mainly due to the ridiculous mine craft graphics and joke like ambiance of the game . All these games will die out in popularity when people realize games aren't just about spending months to tame a dinosaur or build a base just to get it rocketed down the next night . The vision of those games are all wrong , dayz has one that will be fulfilled in time , and this will go further than any of these silly games that encourage 24/7 play to build a massive base which is the only point of those games . Give dayz time and take breaks , because it IS going slower , the devs even said it would during the "crunch time" right before beta . We're about to see dayz change drastically with many new systems , so although it will be incredibly frustrating and bug ridden , those who wait it out will be rewarded with a greater game than we have now (and im sure a lot of us have logged thousands of hours in , im at 1,690 myself , and it's an early access game ! ).

@Hicks_206 (DayZ) So what's the expectation for wolves and persistent , properly running vehicles for experimental build .61 first iteration ? Can we expect wolves on the first iteration ? What about vehicle persistence , will that be fixed? As you may know the vehicles are in a completely broken state except for the offroad and truck, including persistence issues , getting stuck, driving like its on ice , and the terrible not starting with pristine parts glitch . This has severly cut short time I play with my group because we can't just run around looking for pvp , our main goal was always to look for a car fix it up and make a base but now even those simple concepts are gone :(, so again to recap , Im asking if the vehicles will be in a better , worse , or similar state come the first iteration of .61 experimental and also if we can expect Wolves for the first .61 iteration on experimental ?

Make the animation 5 minutes long , max , and we will see if it even has an effect on breaking down camps . I guess if you found a military survivor camp it would matter , as it would take a while just to take down ten tents so it could be much more intense trying to break down all the tents in time (of course the animation could be cancelled). -
Yea im not gonna hold my breath for this week , even if it does come out it's gonna be like this : broken vehicles (maybe non at all) maybe wolves (probably not) "dynamic zombie spawns" that is supposed to bring bigger numbers and better spread of zombies , which seems like the only thing that will actually be exciting for the next update . Maybe the new sound engine will be in , overall I just want to get done with .61 so we can go back to at least having vehicles work (big bummer that they are all fucked up for sooo many patches now).

Soo I just hopped into a private server and tried to fix up two different sedans (despite the obvious persistence issues I thought "why not , I have all the tires and components right here , it will be an easy ride to a hot spot with this", boy was I wrong). i ended up wasting an hour trying to look for a spark plug and lug wrench (had to repair the tires just in case we got the notorious "skating on ice " bug) only to find out that both sedans did nothing when pressing "engine on" . This is with a worn battery and a pristine spark plug and tires . i guess I'm completely done with vehicles for now , and I sincerely hope they get some love for .61 because they are unbearable atm . ... Here I was thinking I was out and they pulled me back in !!!!! .61 soon plox !

I'm not even gonna speculate how long Cuz at this point we are gonna go well over 3 years (just for alpha , not including beta). some things me and my team have been waiting for since day 1 that still need to be added : Predators barricading base building advanced vehicles dynamic zombie spawning shooting from cars (mentioned b4) electrical generators fridges w/ persistent storage LTL weapons (less than lethal) Wounded/limping animations dragging animation many more things that I can't even rememeber anymore . I just hope the pace is picked uP soon so to speak .

Ya I just read about the news of .61 possibly not having vehicles again.... Shits really rough , I thought vehicles were the one thing that was truly getting to its almost-final state :(. Oh well , here's to running around til .62 .

Well looks like im sitting out .61... I hate how the vehicles are suddenly broken again , it just makes a terrible play experience for me as that is my first goal as my team is always driving around instead of walking (not enough time to walk everywhere when we only have a few hours to play together ). heres to hoping they can fix the sync issues with vehicles for .61

I'm so ready for .61 experimental , you don't even know ! My crew has stopped playing due to the vehicles not persisting :(.

Oh please Jebus , make the vehicles actually persist properly next update , these vehicle bugs really ruined .60 for me ! Haven't played in over a month ! Otherwise looks good , I hope they don't cut wolves from .61 seeing we are already incredibly far behind but oh well do what you gotta do .

Three ideas of mine that I think would be really simple to make into mods but could become so popular as to have their own stabdaloNe eventually. 1.) Dark Dayz - medieval themed dayz with or without zombies ( Id keep them but make them just a common enemy among many) . 2.) wild dayz - wild Wild West themed dayz with no zombies , just humans creating madness in the good old wild west of the frontier North America period . Imagine having to kill the sheriff (whomever had amassed that title in the specific town) to break out your buddies (also real people) of the local jail , then riding carriages across the dusty west with dayz graphics , im already sold . 3.) Dino dayz - dayz with no zombies , but dinosaurs . Set in chernarus as a jurassic park dinosaurs escaped a park theme or the typical make a foresty island map and make us the players as cavemen and women (awesome). someone please make one of "my mods" a reality. Preferably the Wild West one now that im thinking about it .

I agree there seems to be so much to do before beta is supposed to come out ... I'm guessing this three year development cycle is gonna be pushed to a 4 year cycle :/ . But I couldn't even remember how dayz mod looked until I watched that video, god it was so clunky and the fps was sooo choppy , good thing people made theatrical trailers in small coop missions to make it look badass , but bad thing is people remember it with rose colored glasses because of those silly trailers . My experiences with dayz mod over two years of playing it was soo much more plain than those ridiculous theatrical trailers haha , that's why I was ecstatic when I heard stabdaloNe was coming out (and was to do everything better than the mod) but of course perfection takes a looooong time :/ . when standalone is complete we won't even need to post edit it's videos to make it look appealing : it will have everything it needs to be a badass game and make a sweet trailer using everything in game online (as we all know most of the dayZ mod videos were edited with special add on mods that were played in small cooperative misson scenarios as opposed to online servers open to the public).

I'm gonna grab a vehicle and see if it's persistent for more than a restart , but afaik about two weeks ago they werent at all :( .

They were removed a while back due to the fact that you couldn't use them as melee weapons attached to a gun . I believe the devs stated they would be back with the completion of the new animation system / player controller .

Lol I always wonder that too eno, why da fuq do most ppl crave modding for this game if they are just going to make the same old pvp bullshit gameplay from arma 2 ? This games only repetitive when you make yourself do the same thing over and over again , adventures are always much more spontaneous and interesting in the SA then ever was in the mod .

Well those pictures might have been from dayz TV but the original image of the generator was shown off on a dev Twitter (I believe Peter Ns, or Eugens Twitter) so that was an official showcase . It would be nice to hear a game plan on all these features , as we have less than 5 months to reach the 3 year mark . I'm starting to doubt being able to see all this content before the 3 year mark (we haven't even hit predator animals yet , which was originally planned for last year !) so I'm hoping these things like generators won't be pushed off until after full release because we need some content before releAse.

Wow , comparing an open world survival game with ai zombies and animals , 60 players per server , and thousands of different things you can possibly do on that server, with a small scale racing simulator . I don't even know where to begin .... There's a reason why people think your ideas are "tosh" . People nag about the games speed yet the developers have been getting more and more transparent with their progress , and on top of that people compare this game to other games that are so small scale it's a joke to even mention them in the same sentence . It's like programming pac-man compared to making the first MMO on pc ; they are both games but one takes FAR MORE WORK to make complete, becuase the scope and replayability is much greater with the latter . Some people understand that , most never will until they get their hands on the final product and regret all the criticism they had that was based on poor comparisons of completely different game developement ! if you never said "tarnished early access with this title " I probably wouldn't have laid the truth on so hard , but fact of the matter is gamers are spoiled now adays with shitty console games , this game promises to be fun for years to come and has stated sooooo many times that it expects to be a 3 year development cycle for alpha , we are only 2 years and 7 months into alpha , so chill out and please stop crying wolf about tarnishing EA , Cuz this is the most successful early access game Ive ever played , not to mention the most fun early access game I've ever played .

Maybe something's wrong with respawn timers on your server you're in cold .... My servers are definitely a little less loot packed due to the new patch but things reapawn like normal (but then again the server I've bene playing on has had no more than 15 PPl on in the past few days). Hopefully there's no outstanding issues with the CLE .

OMFG IM SO EXCITED I HAVE TODAY OFF OF WORK!! Thank you devs for this glorious surprise ! Even though me and my Cuz luterally just set up camp near green mountain with a car in experimental but fuck it I don't care I wanna go to stable and make a camp :) good luck out there survivors and stay friendly ;) !
