Holy shit holy shit ... I knew there was a reason why today was an early day at work , all day I was itching to play dayz and I come home to this ... Just awesome , gonna go get the crew and cause havoc in a few hours . Edit : great job devs and thanks :) :}

That is sad to hear but don't lose hope dark bullet ... I met a couple of friendlies on experimental last night (and stable as well) but I also met two assholes that wanted my food and gear .. They were sneaky about it but long story short I kept my eye on them and caught them stealing out of my stash house , I blew the first away as he had a mouth on him , and the second told me they we're going to kill me after they had what they needed (thinking he'd survive if he came clean lol)... He died shortly after due to mysterious poisoning :) if anyone finds two bodies in my "love shack" somewhere near staroye on a US east server, don't worry they deserved it :) !Edit : just remembered that there was a third asshole , I met him before the deadly duo and I had just geared up in staroye , was about to leave but then saw this guy on the road with just a backpack and no melee , he asks from ten feet away : "do you know where any food is ?" Having just looted staroye I knew where some rice and food was in the town .. I was about to tell him where the food was after telling him to back off a couple of times , but as I say back off for the third time he lunges and tries to punch me , I quickly back step take out my repeater and shoot him once in the gut running around waiting for him to bleed out ... He's laggy as hell so I waste like 8 shots into the air , finally a second shot lands into his skull ending his life .. To show I was friendly to his dumb ass ghost, I left my only bag of rice on his corpse (lol).. Too long don't read : don't give up hope , friendlies are far and few between but they are out there , and as long as you don't assume someone is friendly and always watch them you will always make it out alive !

Baby tree ent lol , but seriously I can't wait until this game is optimized , grass will be MANDATORY for every computer at every distance ... We will no longer be "baby tree ents" !!

Probs the best info you need to know for this game ^^ My cousin just bought a brand new computer with an I7 processor at 4.0 ghz and he can hardly get 30 fps with a great graphics card, my rig runs at all times above 30 and to 60 fps(unless in novo on a full server) and I have an i5-3570K , which Is about a year OLDER than my cousins ... So even if you're torn to buy an I7 ,I would say stick with a late generation i5 as they seem to have a lot more power for this game at least ...

Yes I can't wait until the gas mask has a real purpose , imagine wielding a couple of tear gas grenades and a gas mask , bein the only person not passing out in a building that you just threw the grenades into ... It would be so badass, but of course when you wear the mask in first person you have to sacrifice a little visibility, and gettin through all the smoke will be a huge trip lol but it would be so awesome to be able to purge a building of a clan because they have no gas masks and you have tear gas :)

Well berries ,although small, are very nutritional ... Although not much fat in them you should be able to survive on them for at least a few days while your fat reserves are being eaten (blackberries contain about 2% of your daily value of fat , protein and carbs per 100 grams, so that's not too bad)... So in my opinion tac bacon needs to make you more thirsty (as it's salty as shit and pretty much the "go to food" besides canned peaches) and berries should have been more of a survival option from the beginning by making it so you find 5-10 berries each time you search a berry bush to make it more believable that you can survive on them , but now that they are more nutritional it counts for something but I would like to see it like it is in reality : having to pick like 1,000 grams of berries just to survive off of just those berries for a couple game days(that way we could keep the berries nutrition as it is in .51 experimental which seems to be that they are just as good as half a can of bacon if you eat at least five of them) . Eventually your body would need more energy and fat but that berry picking operation you have going could save you long enough to see an animal to kill or something .. So long story short I think berry picking is becoming much more useful , and I would totally welcome some black berry bushes and maybe some non-poisonous blueberries ? If you had all three edible berries you could mix it up in a mortar and pestle and create a homemade "antibiotic" (It wouldn't work as well as a real antibiotic but you'd be so full of vitamins that your body would generate blood cells faster and hopefully recover faster) . I'm getting off topic here but while were at it we should be able to collect pine cones and needles and boil them into a pine tea (which apparently is a great source of vitamins and could easily cure a sickness in conjunction with the homemade berry antibiotic !) I can't wait til we can have our own "witch doctor" set up , mortar and pestle with all sorts of forage able herbs and fruits that we can mix to make helpful (or deadly) potions/toxins :) .

^ actually , all the fresh spawns having trouble should know this : after this latest experimental patch , the berries (red colored) will bring up out of starving status now ! I was starving and had no other choice so I sat at a red berry bush and pressed action twenty times, only yielding about 5 berries but after eating all the berries I went from "I am dying of starvation" to "neutral" hunger status ... So for those of you avoiding berries or telling freshies to avoid them , don't ! Because the berries nutrition must have been buffed as you can actually survive on them now !

Wow I've not been paying attention to dayz whilst watching jackie chan movies for the past few days ... I gotta get on and download experimental again :)

I frequently find cr75s and their pistol magazines in those awesome brown log cabins with a second floor (has a tool shed always attached and it looks like there's a restaurant inside.)

I think it's actually the more underplayed/underrated "Matt Lightfoot" character ... Lol I want more devs as characters, maybe give us Brian hicks so the Americans can play as an American (sounding ? Or is he ?) character ! ;)

Well, "pics or it didn't happen" is a valid way of telling you to STFU if you don't have proof .. We all know there are hacks in the game just please suck it up and when you're called out on something you can't provide proof for , don't get embarrassed just simply tell them "I don't have proof this time , but I will do everything in my power to RECORD next time". It's really not that hard and if you don't have the care to just record your play session next time then the devs should not have to care about Delving into one of the many (most likely) fraudulent "hack accusations". It's like a witch hunt , people can't just believe you on your word , I mean if you were a dev working on the game would you stop everything you're doing to go see if these 100 kids complaining about hacks with no real proof are actually getting hacked (ten times a day as well ) ? That's counter-intuitive and instead you could just be a responsible alpha player and record at all times if you're this paranoid of both hackers and "trolling devs/ mods" .. It's not like they (devs/mods) don't care but when a thousand of "you people" come to a reddit thread to say (without evidence) that you've been hacked , it's more of a blatant "your incompetent devs " considering all these kids that get hacked start out with " this game fucking sucks , there's still hax after almost a year Of alpha ?!?" And even if they don't start like that they get like that when a mod (justly so) says "pics or it didn't happen ". So let's end this witch hunt , zombie if you don't have proof don't bother posting because we know there are hacks but no proof accusations make NO difference and don't help at all . But on another note I can't wait til cannibalism makes it's way to this stable branch :) such madness ...

I think this is a great feature because it adds an element of horror into the game .. Also , suicide is going to be added soon and even though that's an extremely sensitive issue as well , it will provide someone a way out if he's captured by a cannibal tribe (slit throat with a knife) .. Even if suicide doesn't do it for you I believe peoples need to eat others will be balanced out by diseases that will most likely kill you off quicker than most bandits will be able to handle (in my opinion they should add a disease that kills the heart or brain quickly due to inflammation unless you consume a bunch of antibiotics, and this would happen 60-70% of the time when you eat cooked human meat .. So even If you were to survive with a constant supply of antibiotics you would have the shakes from eating human meat). Also coming up to a campfire with another survivor cooking at it (which most of us have experienced in our DayZ lives ) would be the most terrifying thing ever , getting offered meat and realizing after having a funny taste in your mouth that your new friend is a Cannibal ... Spooky :) !

I agree , video games aren't the devil , it's the stupid peoples decision to carry out any sick type of act whether it was observered from a video game , a movie , or real life. If they are twisted enough to do something bad they will do it eventually, regardless of if a video game is doing it .

It's weird but I tend to stay on the north eastern part of the map, mostly because I love novodomitrovsk and the chernarussian trail that leads to the northwestern airfield by way of severograd (my second favorite city) .. But now that I've been to the new towns up north west (near the area of toploniki) I think I will make my new base there , preferably in toploniki cuz it's a cool ass city and close to the NW airfield so it's always action or loot packed !

I refuse to provide screenshots lol ... But me and a friend found a heli crash at the northwest air field just two days ago on .50 stable .... Nothing was in it besides a pair of gloves and a chemlight .. They are even more rare than before and I believe the loot on the heli crashes are now even more rare as well .. Next crash I find I will post a screenshot ... This was found on a first person sever by the way , and it's been my only heli crash site found in a month .

On another note we need first person servers back !! Mommas sad that he's gotta play on 3rd person servers , and I just got rocked by some Desync last night on my stable character :( .

Well it's kind of disappointing but we all know they like to touch up things a good bit before releasing , so let's hope we see some pretty v3s's soon on another weeks experimental update maybe ? :) thanksgiving surprise ?

Hey I was eating breakfast :0 it's time for glaciers to sleep still 'round here lawl ... But does anyone have any speculation as to what might be on the next experimental ? I would love to see a buff to how many hits it takes to take down a locked door :) .
