I don't necessarily think dual weilding pistols is the best choice but he could be on to something ... If you're sporting a pistol , obviously you can't attach a bayonet to the pistol that's long enough to penetrate the skull , so if you could dual weild a sidearm and a knife / machete you could be a zombie killing machine , fast and efficient . ;)

I feel as though this has been suggested before but couldn't find it with the search . But the idea is that pistols(and all other guns) have to be properly "kept" on your person so it doesnt get mishandled and go firing off . So if you didn't keep your pistol in a holster and just kept it in your pants , sometimes randomly while bolting with your fists out ( or just running regularly) the sidearm would fire accidentally leaving you bleeding and maybe with a nice painful animation of you stopping suddenly and droppin to one knee ,to go along with it . What do you guys think , Is it too much haha ?

Haha ya I see what you're saying .. But Imagine getting knocked out instead of dying from a face shot though it'd be too legit haha , and of course the mask would break after getting shot since the whole "ruined" status finally makes a difference :)

Yes this would be a great idea we need lil things like this to keep the game fresh and scary as hell when chainsaws come in ... :(

Like the jackal said , it's a role playin element . and although I wouldn't role play too hard , I would definitely be drinking a bottle of jack Daniels before I storm an enemies base , and then I'd finish with a fat honey cigar over my enemies corpses .

I like this idea , it's small but good . Also I think we need much more spray paint colors ad it should be applicable on any gun with wood / plastic .

It does because this balances it in a way that you can't use it in combat . If we want balance we don't need timers or anything complex like that , all we need is a static non moving spawn added to the hospital which would be an IV stand , it makes perfect sense and that way you can use it on yourself without making it incredibly easy or able to be abused in battle. And to balance it so teams don't have advantages over solo player : there's a real thing called fluid overload , which can happen if you try to transfuse blood (or saline =) ) too quickly , which makes your heart unable to pump blood around the body properly causing it to be trapped in the lungs which then causes shortness of breath and could possibly lead to passing out . So lets say two friends are in a fire fight against one bandit near the hospital , the bandit's wounded but fatally wounds one of the two survivors. The bandit runs into the hospital and quickly decides to set up his blood bag at the IV stand , keeping his eye on the door . During this time the survivor is transfusing blood to his friend, yet they don't realize he (dying survior)just received a transfusion 20 mins earlier . So for being blood bagged twice in under an hour lets say , you are penalized by suffering a knockout from fluid overload , putting squads In their place who think they can be invincible by carrying mad blood / saline . And with IV stands the stealthy lone wolf will always have to slip away after a certain amount of fights to heal, he can never simply heal on the fly . Think of it guys if you were shot could you just walk away? I don't think so but obviously we don't wanna wait 3 weeks for a bullet wound to heal so I say keeping IV stands in hospitals and to make Fluid Overload a balance for constant team healers . And the knockout would be long enough so that people wouldn't just ignore it .

There should be static IV stands required to blood bag yourself only in hospitals , and they should be able To be destroyed . Also it should take a few seconds longer as you'd have to attach the bag to the IV stand and then start to administer it . If we're talking realism , I wouldn't let myself die because someone isn't around to do something one person could do , c'mon now .

How does it work ? As far as I knew it wasn't anything productive(dunno if that's the right word haha) , more like some weird Easter egg.. Anyone got info on how the transmitters work ?

I like this +1 especially on the north east airfield and underground military testing base / hangar , but there should be no end game content as there is no "end game" per se .

I really like the idea of having to bury bodies people have been mentioning above though . so if you kill someone and are a bandit you'd have to spend the time to bury it if you didn't want others to know someone is dangerous in their Midts . Or if you were a hero / neutral you'd bury the bodies out of respect haha -

+1 .. We need til server restart for the bodies , it's so unrealistic for them to disappear :( but I get why they do but when all the server issues are figured out I would really like it if the devs could revert back to bodies disappearing after the servers next restart -

What book is useful in this game ? I searched a bunch but got too bored to see if any did anything . But this would be a good idea for semi auto military snipers (ones with lots of recoil and meant for extreme ranges )when they come into play but right now people don't wanna learn to shoot civilian rifles , new players find it hard enough to find the guns haha .

This is being implemented , slowly but surely the zombies need a lot of working but to be honest I know they will be able to pull off great zombie animations and lots of zombies on screen at once like a horde moving across the map, it will just be a while now until the zombies are complete. As dean said somewhere the "zombies are just placeholders for now " .

Third ideas Great , takes time to change loot tables but it shouldn't be too hard it's in a day z mod already along with searchable containers which dayz standalone is working on at least searchable fridges :0

Seriously noone encourage bobo , he's been plaguing the forums with the same request for vehicles ... Bobo. The reason why vehicles aren't in yet is because the dev team knows the people who played the mod won't need vehicles because they understand the true meaning of the game : just having fun . And unfortunately if you need to roam around a huge map in a vehicle to be content then dayz isn't the game for you ,YET . It will have vehicles but they (devs) cannot just take any request and run with it , they have plans and in my opinion they are doing pretty damn good with the execution of the alpha release . So please bobo we don't hate you but we hate your constant nagging , it's like my wife is in my damn ear .. Love you honey;) good thing she won't see this . Listen to fisheye haha . ^^^ -
Rag and bottle of alcohol to make Molotovs ? Or maybe improvised smoke grenades if they wanted to add 4 items that has no real use other than smoke grenades lawl: saltpeter, sugar, some fuse , and some type of tube or container . But of course that's a lot of useless items to add for one item but I love the idea of smoke bombs , especially home made ones.

It's kind of intriguing though , maybe not such a young kid , but like a 17 y/o looking kid added to the character roster just to add variety . But then again it's not that big of a deal and I'd rather have variety elsewhere like the scenery of chernarus ;)

Well some of these things seem hard to implement , like zombies eating bodies although I have always wanted the zombies to eat dead bodies as a way to clean up the server, that way bodies wouldn't need to disappear . The distraction system should defly come along in my opinion , but based on the lore of dayz I don't know what these zombies would be attracted to ? But I would love to see zombies get bloody when they attack , and imagine a zed eating too much (survivor) before server restart so that it's stomach explodes haha . Probly hard to put in game though to be honest . And on birds , it'd be cool to see scavenger birds eat dead bodies of Zeds and people , that is if scavenger birds are native to chernarus and if the bodies of Zeds and survivors would stay for more than 10 mins .

I've never liked this gun but thats a bias fron another game , and it does look nice in tan ;)
