Well I for one , never get lucky finding canned goods when I need it so walking and jogging mixed works well for me , whenever I sprint (run) everywhere I die within a half hour because I also get impatient easily when running everywhere it seems and I don't stop for the berries / apples / hidden loot spots ,.. So I guess it's up to player preference , but Ultimately since this game aims for realism I would say a mix of all 3 would server you pretty well ! As long as the systems aren't Glitching ...

It was only for private shard servers and -some- messed up publics (but I never saw evidence myself of the publics being empty) this was about last month , around tatankos April social, I remember because they were tweaking the loot to be more plentiful the day before we had the social ... So that tweet no longer applies to the current experimental , and definitely not for the current stable , but in a tweet just two days ago hicks said "of course the CLE is still not working as fully intended , we still have months to complete it" or something like that , so although loot isn't necessarily as scarce as when they first added CLE , the loot is definitely being distributed too slowy and too far apart / in very weird areas (and not to mention the lootsplosions that still happen). So CLE is slowly gettin there but point is , at least it's not as messed up as when they introduced it about a month ago !

Haha no , but if you look at who Ebrim was quoting and what he said , Ebrim was responding to the kids stupidity (and it is just that) of foraging ... I just had a friendly encounter as well with a cool guy named canth, I ran up to him and asked if he needed food , I dropped a chicken breast for him but he said he was fortunate enough to not need it ... So I took my chicken back with pride , knowing that canth didn't want my meat lol .... I still need to find a real knife to harvest some bark so ican make a fire though ... Anyone on us 0-1 3PP hit me up so we can make a BBQ I'll bring the chicken !

I'm on Us east 0-1 3PP which just restarted, but i am currently taking the Ebrim Endurance Test ™ to find out if surviving " just aint fo' humans no mo' ", or to see if mother nature shouldn't have messed with its most perfect creation... I already have apples and a nice well i found in pusta has brought me up to hydrated but i am still hungry working on that now, headed to Msta via the Rog Roads...

That will happen , but they must wait for the vehicle repairing mechanic to be put in , as of right now there's not even a placeholder mechanic for fixing trucks .Can't wait to get out of work and play some dayz, today's rest day so I can go straight to playing without worrying about my health lol ... Many buds will burn tonight ... Oh and did I mention the next three days are finally my vacation ? Ya dayz for the next 72 hours .

Not sure how you manage to do yourself in so many times bro lol , maybe you need to visit berry bushes and apple trees before you start to loot coastal towns that everyone knows are always dry of loot (Cherno, elektro, berezino, svet, novo) you also mentioned you suicide for these spawns .... Don't !! Believe it or not these are the worst spots to find loot , so please first things first align your back with the ocean , find a berry bush pick and eat 3-6 berrys , now walk (hold down shift) to the nearest inland town and then pick more berries (better than apples for hunger) and continue into the second most inland town .. You guessed it mate , pick more berries but this time , loot the town ! The only time I loot my starting area town is if I need a coat .Edit : Also find a well right away , and drink til you are hydrated (it slows the hunger process) do not drink from ponds or lakes unless you want sickness . This process of getting berries in every town you walk to , to be honest can take any where from ten to 45 minutes .. but as long as you pick 3-6 berries per town and don't bother looting any town until you reach two towns inland , you will be fine , you will usually be on hungry status but that's good enough to get to anywhere really as long as you keep berry picking first thing when you reach a town . Don't stop berry picking . Berrys . I'm gonna have a berry smoothie when I get home , And this time I'm going to the fucking grocery store instead of picking them . :)

I started my character two days ago right after the last wipe , me and a friend are now fully geared with one can of food each and all the supplies we need to fish (except for a rope) next time we log in ... This was accomplished by eating berries am getting hydrated (about 6 berries ) and that also got rid of our hunger , we NEVER sprinted unless chased by another player (didn't happen yet but that's our rule). We started in elektro-Cherno , got to staroye , and now we are happily alive and well with saline bags , melees that back up as farming equipment , backpacks , a tent , and even an Ak (no mag though) . All this was done because we did not ignore foragables like Ebrim is talking about , and we certainly realize that sprinting is a death sentence (at first it doesn't seem to matter but it does). Keep on surviving mates it's possible to survive no matter how late in the EXP cycle, it just gets a bit trickier further along , like it would in a natural apocalypse .

Well unfortunately that what you'll have to do until you can conquer the dynamics of an alpha game , we all know dayz is famous for Desync and lag (which it's working on) so when you get trapped or shot at you just have to know how to manipulate the battle in your favor ... Run towards the enemy in zig zags while taking as much cover as possible , while taking as many shots at his position as pissible to stir him up and make him move , then when he's on the move take as Many accurate shots as possible ... It sounds to me that even though you had kept your guard up for days before seeing anyone , you had let your guard down at the exact right time for someone to notice ... So big tip NEVER let your guard down if you don't want to die , so basically never relax and think your safe , if you can't handle doing that all the Time I suggest getting used to dying or get into a group who can protect you !

Go to your steam window and click the "view" tab and then click "screenshots" find dayz in the drop box and hopefully you can find it , I would love to see a compass as a prize in cereal lol !! So awesome it's like Cracker Jack !

I heard that the loot moves within a small area of the helicopter location but for some reason the heli never does , it must be tied in with persistence in a way that they can't really put a simple fix to it because the system is still growing, which is why the heli crashes keep breaking...

I hope not but probably :/ I just want this performance issue stuff to get worked out so we can get goin with da game !! I feel like I slowly but surely realized the fps getting worse and worse but i still prefer zombies over no zombies but I completely agree with the steps they are taking , it saves us a lot of time , and I frankly can't wait to see if they can up our performance by taking out zombies for a bit and running some data tests !

I believe the rainbows , along with the thunder and lightning (yes there was lightning and thunder in this game and it was balling) were removed to help performance some time ago , but that's just a guess from my experience as in my first 500 hours I've seen many rainbows, thunder and lightning , but in the last 1,000 I have yet to see any of the above :(! Bring back rainbows , thunder , and lightning !! I will make a thread of this and try and collect images If I have any of the removed weather phenomenon ...

Well I'm guessing you were in the end killed while geared because you tried to finish something you (or someone else) started ... In an apocalypse there are many loose ends so don't try and hunt someone down that you just had a close-to-deadly encounter with , just make the smartest decisions to get your ass out of town undetected and be grateful you still have your life ! Try swerving in between trees and using cover to your best advantage when fleeing a fight (and you should be fleeing more often than not if you think you can't outgun your opponent ! ). Edit : also aren't you having fun just playing the game ? Why must you be clad with aks and mo5s in a safe player less zone to feel like you're having fun in this game ? Lol for me the fun starts when I spawn and ends when I log off ..

I'm really excited to see if we get a new experimental tonight , although it sucks I'll get wiped I'm only bummed cuz I'll lose my ak (haven't had an automatic weapon in over 2 months !) but it's ok I can't wait to see If it's .57 coming next to experimental :) ... Tonight after work is dayz time .
