They were showing how modding is possible , they just quickly ported namalsk into SA , so technically modders can do it but the devs themselves said they won't do it officially .. But it does prove to An extent that snow textures ARE possible on standalones engine , and that was at least 3-4 months ago !

Yea I know i just love playing before work and for the past three weeks Two days a week I've been waiting for night time or the next day for an experimental to come out :/ I love experimental but I'm really gonna love when this game is done with this early access crap , I just wanna play the game I love non stop !!!Edit : and of course last night I was screwed Out of playing because my character decided to spawn inside a foundation of a a house :( I had to wait two hours for him to starve lol!

I hate stable ... Time to forget about Dayz til they bring back experimental :/ we need bew content I hope they don't come back after A day of downtime with nothing new or interesting ... Damn that's aggravating I'm always about to log in and they tweet that ass :/

I used a bow again Because of you flimflamm, ynfortunately on experimental they are very buggy and required me to constantly reload my stack of five for the next arrow to load , and when I realized my character releases like a 6th grader dicking around with a bow in gym class , I decided to throw my bow at the deer and shoot them with my magnum instead .. Great guide man , I seriously hope that the bows get polished though because as of right now using them is putting yourself at a serious disadvantage even against small game that doesn't fight back ... I shoot bow every week irl , not professionally mind you, but when I first started I realized how to control that recoil but my character , he just loves to shoot all the way to the left for some reason , it must be a bug with experimental because it seemed a little too far for average bow recoil !

Good idea ! But preservation of meat (especially with smoking and salting) has been talked about by the old lead dean hall, it said it would definitely make it in eventually so I'm hoping they are still planning that, and since we are getting more into the cooking aspect of the game we should definitely see it soon IMO !

Well lay night I noticed something strange with the CLE and loot decay ... I had made a fireplace in novy sobor in a second floor apartment , i placed my skewer down with meat on it next to my fireplace for 1 minute , ran outside to collect another 2 skewers aka long wooden branch (to break them down into six sticks for firewood ) and when I did that and came back to my fire my skewer had disappeared ... So my guess is that when you search for skewers it tries to delete some in the area , which IMO should NOT happen until that specific skewer ready to be deleted has been there for at least a regular real life day, less than five minutes is waaaay to short to be ok ! Also , the fireplace , when you let it reach 0 firewood or fuel , it will say you can still hold a skewer over it to cook over the embers but it will never cook , and it won't burn any More wood even if you add more , I added 6 more sticks to the embers but I didn't get any option to "blow on the fire" and it never caught flame again the sticks just sat there in the fireplace inventory until I finally decided to make a new fireplace ... But I've been having a great time on us east (for some reason I've been playin on 3PP , but as soon as 1PP servers fill up with a bunch of people again I'm going back to 1PP lol) there's lots of people to interact with and a lot of them recently have been friendly , I love the new "animal herd" feature it really spices up being a wilderness nomad seeing a large group of Bambi's ! I saw four running yesterday it was awesome the biggest one had massive antlers as was leading the pack and it seemed like they got smaller and smaller further down the deer line , so naturally I whip out my magnum and plug the youngest one ... I really can't wait to see a working ecosystem ; bears hunting deer , wolves hunting in packs and howling at the moon , coyotes fighting wolves for food (does that happen I don't fuckin know ?!) and not only that but I'm excited to see all the new vehicles and most of all I'm excited to see the first iteration of advanced barricading and the beginning of base building , Q3 is gonna be ridiculously entertaining on a massive level !

Oh no , no one sane Haha , anyone who's sane is buying a nice piece of land and growin some amazing indoors in a small 10X10 shack haha .. But just saying it IS possible to grow in mild autumns / winters! And actually a tough type of cannabis was natured in Russia somewhere, called cannabis ruderalis , it's basically cannabis toughened against the cold .... It Just won't get that amazing indoors outcome , but definitely smoke able !

As Long as your summers are above 70* and humidity is at a decent level not too high or low , you can grow bud semi-outdoors anywhere ;) just have to bring it in on cold nights , so I don't see any reason why we wouldn't see a couple plants ready for budding (recently transplanted from outside ) in some chernarus basements / bedrooms , albeit they may be close to rotting seeing as the apocalypse started at least a few weeks ago , but hey our fruit is forever so why not our weed !

The first minute of that looks really convincing but then when he gets into the darkened forest the "snow" texture looks like the "texture glitch" where everyhing on the ground renders white ... Dayz tv says it's up northwest somewhere? Tatanko wake up and figure this out for us ! #needmapchangeverification

Well got geared up with dudester and Bill last night along with trying to introduce my two friends to the awesomeness of Dayz Experimental... Needless to say wehnever i get with people some other people try and rough us up so dudester and bill had to save me and my friend CommaTrauma from an axe wielding maniac, he knocked me unconcious and killed my friend... But i think one of the two heroes swiftly ended his life haha ! We journeyed on and randomly dude got shot by an invisible (or so it seemed) foe... We think we found him later on (fingers crossed it wasnt some random friendly with the same gear lol!) and we decided to stop his mad journey through chernarus so no more vests could be harmed... We don't normally kill but damn people were after us left and right! It was an overall great night , and surprisingly all this action happened on Signapore 1st/3rd person server! Im on Us east something 3PP if any of you EXP heads are journeying to chernarus soon ;)!

So the last patch that was about 690 Mb, does anyone know in specific what it added ?

Will anybody be on later tonight around 1130 pm EST to play some experimental ? I'm all geared up on 1PP servers at the prison island , and on 3PP got a character as well :) !

General rule of thumb when someone is pointing a gun at you in real life : don't make sudden movements! Unless you're a ninja ;) or have a hidden pocket pistol and pretend to reach in your pocket for your wallet ... We need the ability to shoot derringers through pants and jackets !!

Lol this is experimental it's a little different over here than with the stable branch ;) ... We don't care if we have to wait for a new update , especially if we are already "done experimenting" .

Need experimental but stuck at work ...I've been loving this update but I really want a new experimental update for tomorrow (tonight would be even better )now that someone tweeted we would most likely have one before the weekend ! Pray with me experimental brothers and sisters !

Someone post here if they see the experimental servers up please ? I'm on a different game for now til dayz is up (all exp servers , mostly 1PP) ... I hope to chernarus' god that it is up before work :/!

Dammit all Exp servers down except for DE-01 third person =/... I always get on and they are down =(.
