What facts? That the gun looks cool? That zombies are buggy so a Glock 18 would totally fit? That parts of the game aren't authentic so nothing should be? How in lord buddah's name would adding another high end military weapon contribute to the game?

Yup, totally called for. Seriously, a skorpion, stechkin, or any other eastern European machine pistol would be way more appropriate.

Look at the thread, how many people said no? Dayz is supposed to be an authentic survival game. A gun like the Glock 18 not only is wildly out of place, there are many better alternatives. Practically any other machine pistol would fit better.

And the majority opinion is no to guns like these. For your second point, there are currently, what 7 guns in the game? Most people are goin gravitate to the M4. When the game is finished your goin see way less of them.

Your right, there are no reasons why it couldn't be in the game. There are more than a few why it shouldn't be in the game. This game should't be a bunch of people running around with their "cool, pro" military weapons. That's what call of duty is.

There's a reason that the first guns added to the standalone were a double barrel, hunting rifle and revolver. Rocket has a vision for this game which involves very little "l33t" guns like Glock 18's. Again, any other glock would fit fine, just not an 18.

Are you using bugs in the game to justify adding a Glock 18? Zombies being buggy has nothing to do with why this gun wouldn't fit in the game.

Just because some parts of the game aren't authentic doesn't mean everything else can be thrown out the window. Guns shouldn't be added just because "they look cool."

You're right, a glock would make sense. Just not a glock 18. Any other model would fit fine.

Because rocket wants the game to be authentic? Glock 18's and guns like that completely ruin that vision.

I never said anything about the U.S military. The M4 and designs based off its platform are incredibly common. A country with recent western influences could be presumed to have purchased or acquired M4 type designs for themselves.

Nobody's trying to preserve anything form the mod. xRann is right, and guns like the Glock 18 should not be included.

The M4 is one of the most universal and commonly used assault rifles in the world. Chernarus is a former soviet state with recent western influences. The thought of them acquiring a fair number of M4's isnt too far fetched. Meanwhile, Glock 18's are rare, incredibly expensive machine pistols that are not used by any major military/police force and are almost certainly illegal in every European country. M4 = Feasible, but there are better alternatives. Glock 18 = Entirely unfeasible with a ton of better alternatives.

Those tall-ish apartments buildings have been kind to me thus far. Besides that, barns and industrial sites are your best shot.

Close range city fights where both parties have mosins/B95s. The tense moments where you don't know whether or not a street is covered or if the other guy may be up in a window are some of the best i've ever had.

Took a mosin shot to the chest today. Half blood-ish, and about 1/3 of the stuff in my backpack was ruined. I figure one more would've put me down. Seems alright to me.
