Devs, forget features, just focus on stability & release date.
GrappleX replied to luzarius's topic in General Discussion
If your such a fan of star citizen then go play it and stop bitching on this forum. -
Because first person plays like shit. Also, saying that every person on regular servers uses 3pp to look over walls is moronic. Not everybody is a douche.

Poll: How many people would survive the apocalypse?
GrappleX replied to KarmaCoin's topic in General Discussion
Thing is it doesn't take an army to launch a missile, and missiles can put a lot of hurt on a zombie infested city. -
Yeah.... How bout no?

why isn't the zombie fix rocket's priority?
GrappleX replied to bioned's topic in General Discussion
Just because certain features are being implemented doesn't mean zombies aren't being worked on. I would assume improving zombies is quite difficult, and any fixes would be in small steps. Much as it is an amusing thought to picture rocket alone in a room surrounded by 20 monitors, madly scrambling from screen to screen to fix bugs and add stuff, I doubt thats the case. The dev team can multi-task. -
When in doubt, YOLO that shit out. But in all seriousness, I wouldn't have anything of value on me when attempting that. Hell of a story if I live tho.

Yep, this plus predator animals would be awesome. Nothing like going bear hunting with an improvised bow and three arrows.

Reasons why Horses, Dogs, Wolves and Bears are NEEDED
GrappleX replied to pacific_coast's topic in General Discussion
Again, I see what you're saying. Personally, I hope there are never more than 50-ish predators on the map and 10-15 horses. Animals like deer and rabbits would add more to the game imo. On that thought, I dont believe this is an urgent matter. Prey animals first, then this stuff. As for reasons they should be added: It would provide more incentive to leave the coast. As an endgame, I'd love to be able to go on a bear hunt with nothing but an improvised bow for example. Honestly, I think there are more important things that could be worked on. I'd like to see these animals sooner rather than later, but im not holding my breath. -

Your point is fair. However, I believe Dean said that servers can handle approx. 300 animals at the moment. (feel free to correct me) Even if there are some bugs, I have no doubt they can be ironed out. And how would adding animals send a sand box survival game off target? Once again, these animals are real, and they would very likely be found in a chernaurus like area. If anything, these additions would put the game on the right track. -
No, nope, no no no no nope. We have real people, they are much more lively.

Reasons why Horses, Dogs, Wolves and Bears are NEEDED
GrappleX replied to pacific_coast's topic in General Discussion
And whats the reason for not including it? Can you give anything other than "i dont agree with this" Horses exist, and people who are experienced may very well try to ride one. Wolves, bears and other animals like such also in fact exist. They would add new elements to lone wolf surviving, new clothing options and new pass times. Horses may actually be the first way to quickly get around the map. Chernaurus seems to be a rather forested country, and all of these animals would likely be found in the wilds. Again, please provide some sort of reason other than personal opinion on why these shouldn't be added to the game. *Edit* What is so bad about people that would want to ride a horse in this situation. They're relatively fast, i would assume they could eat grass in a pinch (feel free to correct me on that) and they can be pretty intimidating. If a horse were charging at my with a rider urging him on, I'd likely ruin my pants then gtfo. Hell, I think I may have convinced myself to ride one once theyre in. -

Also, hellcat makes a very valid point. What kind of players are you so opposed to? -

How does this take away from game if its not forced on you? Nobody is saying "you must tame a horse or zombies will eat your dick" If you don't agree with this idea, that's fine. Just don't partake once its implemented. Also, just because this is being worked on doesn't mean they aren't working on zombies. The devs can *gasp* work on more than one thing at a time. -
Server messages just fucking with you. I wouldn't be too worried.

Mmmmmm, giving guns to strangers is probably a shoddy idea.
