...............wow. Just wow.

Have you even read any of the last 15 pages? I'd like to think my self a mature person, but holy shit, practically every post either A.) Accused me of being a cheater/exploiter B.) Involved some one saying they were better than me because they played hardcore C.) A combination of the two. Hell, I even had a reasonable discussion with caboose about this, and their were no insults. Yet his kind of thinking seems to complex for most of the posters here. Also, calling somebody a condescending asshole, regardless of its truth, sounds above the vocabulary of most children. If you want to see childish insults, please refer to every other person who plays hardcore posts for the past 15 pages.

I find it amusing how hardcore players claim their interactions are so much more mature and developed. yet come here and act like children. And I still don't remember trying to argue anything besides the fact that 95% of the hardcore players are condescending assholes.

SKS, cuz its sexy.

I kinda get what you're saying, but you worded it oddly. Just reword the questions and add one or two more.

Thank you very much sir. I not playing on regular to take my character seriously. I'd rather enjoy the game, and generally screw around. If I want a serious experience, I'd play hardcore. Obviously regular servers aren't for people seriously into the game, and I'd assume that's why they're more popular. Most people would rather have a casual, easy going experience.

Caboose, you seem reasonable, and I'd be happy to answer your question. For starters, I don't exclusively play on regular servers. I have a hardcore character and play as him occsionally. I can explain why I prefer regular though. 1. I find that looking in first person seems incredibly like tunnel vision. Yes I know you can change your FOV, yet I've never found a setting that appeals to me. Its either way too tunnel visioned and way to much view. Its a personal thing, but it bothers me. 2. I like being able to switch between a casual and hardcore experience. Generally, when I'm playing this game, I want it to be enjoyable. On the same note, I find regular servers to be much more casual, and I care about my character less. I play the game for the game. When I want to seriously care about my character, I'll play hardcore. I enjoy having a choice. 3. I have a quirk where I very much enjoy looking at my character in third person. It shouldn't bother me as much as it does, but I just feel weird not being able to see him while I'm running on hardcore servers. Its an odd quirk, but still, it makes me lean towards regular. 4. My last one isn't necessarily a feature, but rather lack of one. I've never found interactions on hardcore servers to be as good as people say. That's not to say its the same between regular and hardcore, but I haven't seen a huge difference. I've met plenty of cool guys on regular servers and been KOS'ed plenty of times on Hardcore servers. Anyways, long post, just figured I'd throw my opinion out.

Fair enough. Too bad to, most of the hardcore community seems reasonable enough. I suppose the loudest ones always set the tone for the rest. *edit* dagwood, nobody knows or cares anymore, this thread should have died 4 pages ago. So, i will do my part in letting it go. Just do the same and let this die.

Nobody's trying to argue anything. The only thing i'm stating is that it would be nice not to be labeled as a cheater/exploiter/peasant every time I mention I play regular. I honestly have no idea what you are trying to argue, and so long as you stay on your high horse, won't give a shit either.
-
Thank you for reasonably stating your point omambuscus. If only more people had had your approach 13 pages ago.

Can you make one post without being a condescending prick?
-
No, its hard to ignore shit like this. Saying that I erroneously choose to play on regular servers makes you seem like a holier than thou douche. I guarantee I didn't make an error choosing to play on regular servers. I looked at the server list, saw both hardcore and regular servers, and purposely picked a regular server. All intentional. Again, not everybody on regular servers uses 3pp to look around corners and KOS. Just as i'm sure not everybody who plays hardcore is a condescending dick. But a few bad apples spoil the bunch, isn't that true?
-
Still can't understand how some of you even post from your high horses. Seriously, the font must be tiny from up there.
-
Abso-fucking-lutely. The amount of condescension and general douche-baggery in this thread is astounding.
-
Maybe its so underpopulated because we can't reach you up on your high horse....

28. The benefits of not wearing pants are much greater than the benefits of wearing them.

Glock maybe, steyr likely not

Probably a bug. I don't believe so. At the moment gear up. Weight may be added later, but right now there's no penalty. Probably trying to keep every one from running around with fully kitted l33t m4a1's. Edit: three times ninjad, damn.

That is just, incredibly bandity.

Will somebody please adopt a NOOB?

YAY for threads filled with one man's ignorance and refusal to even read what people have posted! -
Devs, forget features, just focus on stability & release date.

If you going to throw accusations around, at least stand by them. I can feel the cop out coming in about 5 posts. " I said it may be due to a lack of resources." My spidey sense tells me your also the type of person who thinks that only one thing can be focused on at a time. Believe it or not, they can *gasp* multitask.
