Snuggle em.. I aint played for a while.. I'm not even playing when updates are being pushed to me through steam.. in the hopes that when I next boot her up.. I will have a fresh new experience akin to times past. DayZ is always going to be the type of game that is at its very best when you first play it, that's not to say it isn't fun when your a seasoned Chernarus survival veteran, but you will never fully get them lost, lonely, panicked, heartbreaking, emotional feelings back that you once had. This is my mindset.. Thou shall resist all temptation to click 'Play'. Thou shall try to ignore awesome sounding Dev Blogs and spoilers. Thou shall then come back in the future to enjoy DayZ once more, with its new features and with fresh spawn eyes.

The feelings the DayZ mod gave me for the first few days of playing it.. I would gladly give my left nut to have some of that, lost.. lonely.. horror and breathtaking awe back now. Any friendlies in Cherno?

Lets face it, any encounter in DayZ is worth it, whether it be a good or bad experience. When nothing happens, that's when the game is tedious, unless you are one of those people who like to be alone. Next time you most likely wont do what you did to experience the same mistake, therefore you are learning how to survive in this hell, making you a more seasoned survivor.

Pretty much the top of any hill looking down on either a city or landscape.. with the suns rays poking through the trees.. Chernarus is so pretty at times I just find myself standing still after a long run and soaking it in for a few seconds, while thinking, WOW! I'm sure we all get them moments when you just stop and look at the sheer magnitude of what your seeing.

Good luck finding a server when its updated.

I like how everyone knows what is happening, why its happening and when its gonna happen.. before anything actually happens. I happen to know most people dont know shit about shit and until OFFICIAL words are spoken.. please stop talking about things you can only presume to know about, like you have a camera in the devs offices or something! frikken annoys me, dont know about anyone else.. Next time, just punch him in the head a couple times. They will instantly get the picture since, you cant really do that as a new player due to the fangly raise/lower stance design. Problem solved.

Where in my post did I mention the devs? I was talking about 'this' community... I have every confidence in them! that don't mean every patch I have to tell them I love them and that the patch is great, whilst not pointing out the changes made that break the game... then when actually telling it like it is, getting the "Game is Alpha! you moron" and such like comments from people blind to such broken things. You dont agree with what I say, that's fine, but please don't take what I said and change it in such a way as people think I'm a dick. Thanks.

Tut tut.. You cant say anything bad about DayZ, don't you know that already? too many die hard fans that just don't look at negatives with a product, they prefer to see the few positives and believe that one day everything will be hunkey dorey.. what they don't realize is their constant, "Love it", "Awesome", "Game is perfect" "Great job Devs" and who call "Alpha" constantly when someone disagrees or has a problem with something DayZ related, is actually harmful. I get it when someone has an aimless rant on the forums calling Dean Hall a dick.. or DayZ a complete fail, something along those lines, but to keep defending a broken game.. it's just silly. To those guilty of telling it like it is, do just that, but be truthful and constructive when doing so. To those who disagree with such posts, even though its sometimes hard to read your favourite game being critiqued every day, it will actually help it get better. There is a LOT wrong with game, there is no denying that.. hopefully with everyones help, even the negativity will help the game become what we all want it to become, what we can see evolving over time.. the true DayZ experience that we all want to have and be a part of.

I have, within ten minutes of playing I went stalking someone and tried to prone cut through a broken wall to head him off.. fail.

Aim of the game is do all that jazz you mentioned whilst trying NOT to die.. that's ultimately why its a survival game. Everyone dies in DayZ, its just a matter of time. Wait until you lose it all after getting jiggy with a lighthouse.

Depends what you use them for, I find they are great relief for mild to moderate headaches and dental pain! You take two at a time.. with 4 hour intervals between doses if your symptoms persist.

All I comprehend is the fact your biased in some way toward server hosting, for what reason I don't know.. but meh.. it's fine and dandy to make money by any other means regarding video games right? I play this game, as does everyone else here I should imagine.. I chose to buy it and did so because I like the game, so I have in turn supported the development of this game by buying the product.. yes? So I ask.. what's so wrong in supporting server owners, the very people whom allow us to play the game by purchasing the servers we play the game we like to play on, huh?? I mean, does anyone say Dean Hall is wrong for making a profit from making DayZ... or Bohemia? Pfff.. Put yourselves in the shoes of the people spending money to provide such services.. it's not all about greed as I think you may be looking at it, its about providing a good service and that service is worthy of contributing to. As was stated any profit made by server owners is a bonus, a by-product as you put it, for providing a great, worthy service! I mean, if not for them.. then where would we play our favourite game?

That's like saying developers should make games.. not for money... but for love of the game they want to make and provide for people to play. Curious... Do you guys tell gameplay streamers to stop their dedicated watchers donating money?

Ask kind people to donate to keep your server up and running? if they do and it goes over the monthly cost of the server, that's profit? Not sure of any other way. Having never owned a server, I can only presume that's what can make money.

I have stumbled across a person in the woods whilst heading north, on a low pop server (no more than 10 people) I thought at first he was a mirage.. then I got the black screen of death which confirmed human.

randalmcdaniels, You need to learn how to love everything Rocket says, does and delivers, otherwise your opinions are moot and will not be looked upon with any credibility. Re-wording your title might have saved you from being bashed.. anything to do with Rocket in the title will tend to set a negative mood for a discussion. As such has been evident. Unless of course you light-heartedly use him for emotes.
