I cant even bring myself to find the DayZ.exe these days, never mind a scope. I have been sitting on this investment for what feels like YEARS.. when is Beta? I'd like to participate in that before I get arthritic fingers. Man I'm grumpy today.

People will be coming back saying loot is too much now.. after the whole uproar of the non-existent loot? I have no words.

Yep, Just like Minecraft when someone aimlessly smashes your laborious 15 hour epic Castle structure to smithereens before your very eyes.. Just because they can and it makes them feel all powerful and stuff.

I think it's probably a dropped feature, I've not seen it mentioned officially on any livestream, Update, Dev blog, Roadmap or random Twitter comment for a long, long time. I just can't understand why a once anticipated feature just got panned or rather forgotten about.. without warning, or if indeed there was and I missed it, I'd love to see it. Pretty sure Rocket himself wanted this to happen someday.. but of course, he aint around here anymore.

Disclaimer - It's a BUMP.. well aware of the fact it's an old topic.. but this is the first thread I found on radio stations using simple search terms 'Radio' for topic titles. I hate this forums search function, it just sucks, maybe it's me and I'm stupid and just can't use it.. whatever. But yeah, anyway.. Didn't they get a bunch of people writing up stories and things for radio stations? what in the heck happened to this whole thing? it was a widely anticipated feature at one point. I would in most cases usually be saying to myself.. "hey, give them a break it's Alpha, we only recently got a working 'Vehicle' don't push it!, they are busy working on other stuff" But in this case it's something never mentioned by devs (or if it is I'm oblivious to it), so am I right in fearing this is a feature we may never see?

Indeed, it's not your CPU.. Your PC is far better than mine on nearly all accounts and I can run the game, have you tinkered with the ingame settings? try that.. turn down some settings and turn off motion blur (post processing) also if I remember correctly, there's a setting where you can change the 3D resolution.. if it dont already, that should be set to match your Desktop resolution.

Unfortunately a lot of people downloaded the game from watching twitch streams or YouTube videos of pure PvP, not understanding that DayZ was (and should never be) 'all about' PvP, but rather have a strong emphasis on survival. I mean, the average lifetime of a player back in the mod days was what an hour at most? the game was hard, SA has sadly been too easy for too long, So to a newcomers perspective, I can sort of understand their frustration. Hopefully they will see past the challenge of Zombies and Loot and come to see that it's these very challenges that made DayZ as popular as it is, PvP when it used to happen, was actually shaped around the survival aspect of the game itself for the most part. You diodn't want to lose your loot because it was damn hard to get it all back, making PvP encounters even more heart pumping and epic.. I'm quite sad they are blind to such gameplay and the value it gives to a game that was born from such a style. People don't care if they died when they can be fully geared within 20 minutes of spawning, where's the tension and adrenaline gone in that kinda play? You simply got to embrace the difficulty and in return I promise anyone.. they will enjoy the game even more that when it was easy.

Haha, of course I know the difference, It's a real shame that some people evidently don't. I can't blame folk for undesirable big game changing mechanics and gameplay.. the Devs have been far too accommodating and lenient while testing this game.. and unfortuantely now it's time to go back to it's roots, they are gonna have to put up with this crap.

I took this from wiki.. I cannot emphasize the word SURVIVAL and HORROR in that paragraph enough, DayZ was always going to be hard, just as it was in the early Mod days, when the game became what it is now! it was just a matter of time. I'd suggest people get used to it, or else your setting yourselves up for major disappointment. Can you honestly say you have needed to survive before? or felt any sort of horror?

I love Art, even if I suck at it myself, it's that inability that entitles me to really appreciate a good piece, I'm really looking forward to see what the next batch of Artists come up with :)

When I come back to play someday, I am going to make stocking Deerstands my endgame after gearing up. Literally going around dropping loots at random, for those who may dare to wonder. Make people think "Holy crap loot spawns in Deerstands now" :)

So yeah, I was gonna watch it, then I saw the nice.. what one can only assume is a subliminal message there in the YT video preview. Not really sure it's going to be to my taste.. But what if it's funny? can it be funny? Nah.. I'm off to watch me a Dayz stream while I drink beer until I sleep and enjoy someone elses journey.

You got me fella, I don't even know what a competition drill is :lol: I could guess, but I would probably be wrong, please feel free to enlighten me.

I think it's by design, I mean.. who can realistically hold a perfectly straight and still aim? without aid of a bipod or mounting the weapon stationary? especially after exercise such as running or even under intense fear of something ravaging you to death. Willing to bet you or anyone for that matter, would not be able to hold a steady aim. Yes it's a game and people always use that "but games aint real life" card, that's fair enough I guess.. however in this case, on this game.. I would prefer that aiming and shooting, especially with magnified scopes to be hard to do.

It's not cheating, it's just immersion breaking. I consider myself to have been mighty lucky as I played before loot maps existed, back when DayZ as we know it now, was actually DayZ. Feels like forever ago :( Twas a time when you launched the game genuinely fearful, but in hot anticipation of what would happen on your next roll of the dice.

As I look into my crystal ball.. I cant wait for Rocket to mod for it haha! It'll be like DayZ mod of the DayZ SA, he tweets he is making a game, he probably has mod tools already, I mean surely.. the guy has his name on the game. Now it all makes sense.

I came expecting heads, legs and all manner of detached body parts.. Then I re-read the title and noticed it said incapacitate, not decapitate haha! Since I came, I will simply say.. +1 :D

I was more in favour of Taviana in the mod days, but meh... I would still take it :) Besides, I'm sure it was mentioned/geared towards the future modding side of DayZ, not officially releasing the map as part of DayZ.. Chernarus is DayZ.
