When I get approached by a guy with a gun and I'm unarmed.. I just try to beat his head with my bare fists so I can knock him out and steal his shizz. You would be suprised how many times I have geared up in such fashion! Your lucky he ran away.

When I manage to connect.. I'm not seeing loot, if i do its not going into the inventory or wearing items I am also warping all over the place and rubber banding like crazy. Soon enough there is a Red/yellow chain followed by 'no message received'. Rinse and repeat :(

I can imagine it now, you see a guy.. "Please come with me to find a sweet spot to take a pic of me" other guy.. "OK" You turn around to travel to said place and instantly receive his axe, to your cranium.

I can just imagine the performance hit of such additions right now.

I have the issue too, one second I'm running along facing say north, then suddenly out of nowhere there's some kind of spike.. and my character is facing south.

Something else is the matter I think, not your PC. Unfortunately I know next to nothing about streaming or recording gameplay footage. I know, I know.. I'm of great help :)

One may be walking in the wrong direction. Also try running. Every spawn since the new patch has a town (or city) 10 mins away from it.. if not closer. A good rule of thumb I find, especially if your new to DayZ, is wherever you spawn (except for on that silly island in which case go onto the mainland first) have the coast to your right side.. and keep running until you see buildings.

I miss the old 'You are Dead' Splashscreen with the sad violin type music. Whilst it was on screen and the music was playing I used to have my head in my hands asking myself why.. oh why the fuck did I do that.. Why didn't I stay in cover.. or why didn't I just let that guy walk past. Many a time cursing myself for something I should have handled better... often wondering why I suck so bad, hours upon hours of wasted effort for nothing.. then realizing I am probably feeling the same as the guy ten minutes beforehand felt when I filled him full of lead and looted him, while he was staring at the same screen! DayZ is just fucking awesome!

Had it once.. relogged while the message was there and boof I was alive again.. no loss :)

Found one in the shipwreck once (on NE Coast), unfortunately it was badly damaged so I left it :(
