Every building that has a door will spawn a key under a random outside door.(not room doors) The key spawn position will not interfere with other supplies (food etc) so it won't waste the loot's spawn. That means you won't say "god, I need food but instead of finding food, I found a key!" It will not affect other loot. The keys will spawn at one place with the chance of 30% (under/near a door) you will be able to lock all doors for that house (only outside doors or specific rooms maybe) Why? Well I can lock people! Wouldn't that be fun? I can prison people, lets say I saw a guy, he's armed, when he enters a house I lock the door behind him and he's stuck now. You would be able to break the locks with screwdrivers and maybe can openers too.

An idea comes up -- people can make birds scared so they land up, lets say a guy is coming from the forest and I see a bird taking off, there's someone there then.

So I'm at Vybor with a bunch of clothes and no weapons but food. I'm helping out the fresh spawns there because when you spawn there you have no clothes on. It's night by the way, I see a guy with a flare just near that blue warhouse near the bridge. I say "hi" through the sidechat, he doesn't respond, I guess he can't speak English. I try to throw down an axe I have on the floor, meanwhile the guy tries to go away, I call him back. I put the axe on the floor but he can't see, meanwhile another fresh spawn comes and says things to this guy at his own language, the guy with the flare puts his flare away and starts punching the guy, meanwhile the axe is still on the floor, I put it back to my backpack, I don't want to aid a man slaughter. The other guy dies. Things get even funnier now, I try to call over the man again since he's going, he comes back and stands infront of me, I put the axe on the floor and try to show him to get it, I can't find the keybind to point somewhere, I accidentally click the "keep silence" key and then the "cut throat " key, the guy starts punching me, I say "no no no no" through sidechat and he stops at that point. Now back to the case, I finally find the key to point somewhere, the guy takes the axe, nothing bad, he's still friendly. Guess what though? As I say bye bye, instead of pressing F1 I press F2, he takes out his axe, this guy doesn't look surprised at all, he's like "my pleasure" and starts axing me down. He thought I was asking him to kill me. The first time a death gave a laugh to me at this game though.

The other guy asked for it, because he was not trying to run away he was facing the other guy, So that's common sense that he asked to be killed.

I didn't get bored of running yet, but If I do get bored I'll read books. I usually watch the awesome landscape of Chernarus :P

I had Gorka summer set and my character felt cold (was not wet) I got the autumn jacket and my character was still cold, I finally found the winter but I was still cold. So I decided to ignore the whole "I'm feeling cold" messages.

I have found: I spawned at Vybor and found an MP5K at the police station and a CR75 mag, I headed to the military base there and found an AKM,, I found a CR75 at the NWAF firestation and also a magnum, also ammo for the magnum. I went to the camp and found an SKS till I find an AKM mag I came back to the military base at vybor and found a 75rnd mag for the AKM, I threw away my SKS, the mag somehow vanished and a few minutes later the server restarted, got myself back to the military base and found a 30rnd AKM mag and also a flashbang.

Sarcastic: Is it only me that thinks these two guys are the same person? If not, I beg for your pardon though.

Alright I've just been to this area, I can clearly say: You are both right and wrong! This place is indeed a sniper camp, however at the meanwhile the snipers are very exposed! I was on a what so called friendly server so I was not really expecting any KoS around there, however I saw a christmas gift under one of these trees! He was really exposed, plus I was surprised why did he not hear me at the first place. Thinking to myself and trying to decide what to do, either prone and press q and e and hide somewhere and watch him or run towards him and cuff him, he just vanished, I guess he combat logged or server hopped. https://www.dropbox.com/s/lq17i5nnzy9hdpz/2014-09-20_00016.jpg?dl=0 Anyway about the new base, don't come fro the North or South side, come from the west (if you can) and east but becareful for the snipers, make sure you don't pop infront of them. I was not expecting to see a sniper at the first tree lane, but I did, I guess that was a newbie. Anyway you should not be scared about snipers but combat loggers, people who would scan the base and see if there's anyone, shoot you and leave the server to keep the process going on.

I was prepared to the door sounds when I saw it on the dev blog, now I really enjoy these door opening sounds. I don't mind at all If others are going to spot me, at the other hand, whenever I enter a building I close the door so I know if someone is in. They should replace the car trunk opening sound with something else though.

I've heard that there is a bug which allows players to restart / crash the server.

I've noticed that for example when you're re-joining a server (60 seconds cool down) or spawning (30 seconds cool down) when you ALT TAB, the timer does not decrease. I like to ALT TAB because I hate staring at the timer, so I check my skype or my browser etc at that time. Anyone else facing this issue? Is this a new feature? I didn't read it on the changelog for 0.49 By the way this happens since 0.49 also I faced this on experimental too.

Had a female character, wanted to get rid of it I found a water tower and jumped off it.

To be honest I'm not sure why is Shift Tab not working on my PC, I'm an experienced computer user and I have never heard about this key combination, I do know the windows key + caps lock trick for Windows 7 but that has no effect too. I tried shift tab and all I get is my inventory, I don't switch to my desktop... Oh okay now I get it, I guess shift tab is to open steam? Sorry but that was a wrong guess, my keybind to open steam is different than yours. About using the steam browser -- nope, I have a forum of mine to follow, so I'd rather not browse reddit, well I don't want to for now atleast. Also I can't message people on skype without doing ALT TAB. Anyway, the first time I faced this was on experimental 0.49, I quickly googled and tried to find a complaint about this, checked out the recent posts here too, while posting this topic I had some related-topics list on top, none of them were about this. Right now I'm trying to see if anyone else is facing this issue, If anyone is please drop a reply below, If It's only me then I'll create a bug report. But the way you guys speak I guess this doesn't happen to everyone.

I've died 7 times so far since 0.49, every time I spawn there, lucky or what?

I don't know if there are any communist books in the game right now, so If they are, I'm sorry. But if they are not, there are 150 books here, but not even one book about communism. We are in Mother Russia, we are in Novaya Russia, the motherland of communism, where are the communist books? Where are the books from Karl Marx? We're in a post-soviet country and there are no books about communism? Not because I'm going to read 'em, But It would be interesting to have a few of them lying around!

I can find Jules Verne offensive too, this is an opinion. Also to be clear If yar blaming people who died under commies you may look at the people who died under the capitalist system too. Wars happening all around the world, I'm not really going to argue about this. At under any ideology people will die, doesn't matter what it is, communism or nazism, capitalism or something else, people die, yes maybe the ideology caused people to die but does that prevent you to add it to the game? If people find it offensive you may add books about capitalism too. I may find the AKM in the game offensive aswell because mostly geurrillas and terrorists use it, a lot of people died because of the AKM, does this prevent me from grabbing one? Infact lets remove the guns aswell, they kill people and people who lost their families to guns may get offended. I guess you're a hard anti-communist which can't even stand the word.

Wwhen I bought the game a lot of my friends told me to not buy it, or If I'm gonna buy it, then to not play it. However I wanted the game as It's going to get expensive in the future. I didn't listen any of them but bought it and installed it. Before running DayZ, I sat and tought "Okay, as soon as I click this launch button I must know what am I expecting: " -I must be expecting bugs, lots of bugs, lots of lots of bugs which will make me rage. - I must expect a different atmosphere than the mod, new things to learn and take care about - I must expect to get killed anytime anywhere." If you're buying this game, you must not take that fact out of your mind. First 10 hours I felt like the game was a waste of money. You will get KoS'ed. You will get KoS'ed all and over again, you will be shot in the back, you will be asked if you're friendly, you will be told that they're friendly, they will shoot you in the face. They will axe you down while you're bandaging yourself because you were hit by a zombie whilst trying to save them. You will be robbed, you will be handcuffed and forced fed / drinked bad material. You will get teleported near to some bridge by a hacker, you will get killed by a Russian (no offence to my comrades) and you will be called a mother f**ker while you're laying on the ground, you will basically experience all these. For what? You will experience all these for one thing: for fun. These are aspects of the game and it will be a part of it, this is no different than the mod, everybody was complaining about KoS on the mod too and people said "SA will not have KoS" hopefully my ass doesn't have KoS at the moment, however SA does. But this will change by time! Anyway to sum things up, you're gonna die over and over again. I killed only 3 guys so far (2 of them asked me to kill them, one was a big threat to me so I had to take him down) and my playtime is 80 hours. Meanwhile I got killed like 50 times maybe. I'm a CoD player, I am also a BF3 player, however my approach is friendly to everyone in the game, just for fun. I'm not gonna KoS.. We should not judge people by the game they play. Playing COD is fine, BF3 too, if your approach is friendly then It won't matter what kind of a game you play or not. So if you're gonna buy the game, don't expect people which will hug you on sight, helping you out with stuff and giving you food, talking nice to you. Don't expect pink ponies at the fields or spongebob giving you a krabby patty. Expect to get killed and expect to kill after getting killed several times, hopefully I have not been that guy yet and will never be.

I've seen a mag and the pistol not together but on different servers, however I had a magnum so I didn't pick it up. Happened a week ago.

Right now if you're shot in the backpack and you have badly damaged items, they turn to ruined, It doesn't really matter where did the bullet come from. I'm against this idea, so I suggest the ruined status to be given depending on the item's location. Let's say you were shot in the backpack, the bullet hit the buttom of the backpack, the items at the bottom should be ruined, or maybe like 4 objects near that area, or 2, your call. For backpacks it can be like that and for vests it can be like if the columns are like a non-even number then the pouch / pants / vest will be divided from left to right, for example, 3 x 2 _ _ _ --> indicates left pocket _ _ _ --> indicates right pocket. If I get shot at the left of my leg I get everything at the left side of my leg ruined. Same for vets, lets say we got a 12 slot 4x3 high capacity vest If I'm not mistaken it should be like L_ _ |_ _R _ _ |_ _ _ _ |_ _ So If I'm shot from the left of the vest, all I got at the left of my vest gets ruined. What do you guys think?
