I'm hunting down these guys who killed me a few days ago at a house like this. (Same model) I didn't kill him, I wasn't armed. But he killed me. Later on, I decided to take this guy down. I noticed he had reasons to come back to this house in the future (no need to really really mention) so basically, I saw him on the server and decided to take a visit again to the house. I came back in, I'm armed with an AUG. I don't know what is he armed with. I'm right here, I saw him with his weapon out, I guess he heard me, so he was actually aiming towards the windows. He was here, by the way. I peeked through the window, to see if my hip goes over him (it did) At that point, he saw me. So he turned his weapon to this direction. (I mean directly aiming to that specific window) At start he was expecting me to come from the kitchen, not the windows. I aimed down the sights, I noticed I couldn't get a clear shot on him due to the window frames were actually blocking my vision (the sights itself) I understood I can't take a shot, but I understood that I would not be able to take a shot if I go to the other windows aswell. Entering the building would be more riskier (I don't know what weapon he has, he could have sprayed me down) So I decided to try once more time to aim down the sights and shoot him. Peeked my head out, clicked fire. But I never heard my own shots. Also, as soon as I aimed down the sights, I got a FPS drop. (I didn't get one at the first time) Now back to the start, at a case like this, how would you try to combat this guy? By this I mean, kill him. How should I approach to this house next time? From where can I get a shot? And most important, if I aimed through the hip, would my bullets actually hit him? (Consider the frames block the vision when aimed down the sights)

This is Dean Hall using his undercover forum account and you sir, don't know how to play my game. If this game was not meant to be played like this then I would not come with the persistence idea. Ofcourse you can play my game however you want, just like the Hero-Bandit decision. But this is how I wanted to design this game.

Trev why do you bother explaining stuff that narrow minded guy? He clearly doesn't know what hoarding is. You are allowed to play this game however you want. Also harding / camps / stashing is a key role of survival. Every wednesday I have stuff more than I carry. These all get deleted. It's high end gear too, not low end. I am not selfish? I can give all this stuff, but who is willing to take? Who trusts others? We left 2 m4s and lots of mags behind at Tuesday night. This is how this game is meant to be played. The key role of survival is stockpiling.

Considering abusing server owners loot cycling / loot farming restarts / kicking / kicking and killing players. And when the central loot economy is not ready yet persistence is not fully functional. I can't blame server hoppers for what they do. Also, if you read the central loot economy article said by Dean Hall, you'll see that he himself aims to courage server hopping as soon as the central loot economy is implemented. The devs want server hopping. Otherwise they would put up a longer timer. And there would not be a public hive then. Also, server hoppers should exist since that makes a point of camping at military bases. Have fun at Chernarus folks! Interesting, I think the answer for this is clearly the majority of the players are actually at those areas while the north is always clear. I don't server hop unless I really really need to do so. About finding chopper crashes -- this is a method everybody does, complete your route (or find all 3 crash sites) then re-start your route. The routine is like this till you find your item you're looking for. I don't server hop unless I really really need to find something quick and fast. Also server hopping increases your chances of getting killed, because if you stick to one server, you can track down the player count and know who was where, where could be safe etc.

Trust me, you'll almost never get those rare items by searching on your own. You need a group of people, or trade it for something good you have. Believe it or not, the RAK you see at this picture was my 2nd. I kept screwing over with it, whenever I got a RAK, I kept losing it. Once I lost it, can't even remember why? Oh yeah, persistence deleted it. At the other one I accidentally pressed G and threw it on the floor and it got deleted (that RAK you see at the picture) I lost the last one I had to a char reset (there were attacks going on with the DB, I was IG at that time and it overwrote my character, lost lots of gear at that one) Then it was eventually the last few days before 0.53 wipe and I had a friend who had it, he offered me to take it since we were going to get reset anyway, but I didn't take it that time.

This picture was taken before the wipe. Although, I know friends who also have the RAK on this build. It's not that rare anymore.

Any special plans you got for that RAK?

Does the loot keep respawning?

Actually I think heli crashes don't spawn on pers on servers. Some servers got default settings after the patch, the hostname says its pers ON, but its actually OFF. Even the official ones are the same.

He's trying to say that you should fix your aspect ratio to 16:9 But It doesn't really matter. Nice MP5K btw. I had one of these two, then I died at the island.
