100%. The DayZ experience is about realism correct? Well Global chat is unrealistic in my opinion. There should obviously be other things implemented long before a little feature like this but why not carrier pidgeons? If you could catch a hawk maybe you could send a bloodbag (*edit, bandages, as you need a medic to give you the bloodbag and i dont think you can train a pidgeon for that shit lol) as a dedicated medic and recieve some kind of loot as a reward when the pidgeo returns also?

If I pay for a TS server, yeah I should be able to communicate with my buddies. Plus, people would just find another way to communicate (via Steam example) and on top of that I think it would be pretty hard to keep something like that out of a game. (plus it takes away from the game imo, thats why we have a TS server) -
Maybe he wants to purchase it and support the developers a bit? But yeah, i'll probably order one if they make them.

Fantastic idea, however I believe this would take a long time to implement properly into the game, not something they could just do over a couple weeks. But I do love the idea, being able to identify packs would make certain people a valuable asset and would definately make looting easier as you could know if you have enough time to run them out 100ft and loot whatever you drew them away from. -
I think the zombies BITE should infect you more often then hits, although nails grow shortly after death and would be realistic. But perhaps left untreated would give you an infection.

This might work for a private server for people to join and abide by the rules for their own sake, but on a mass scale there will always be assholes not willing to participate for the benefit of the player community. Id say start a server and try something like this, I would join and play along to see how fun it is or isnt.

Make your own adventure, leave all your shit behind and go somewhere dangerous, possibly a PvP zone, find that camping sniper, or get a friend or two and run Ops in cities. The game is as good as you make it, its only a mod, so the SA will get you back into it if nothing else :) -

Name: Jesus (Zeus) Bigsby Occupation: Electrical Engineer POB: Electro General Hospital, Chenarus Story: Always been a lightweight, high metabolism individual who worked as an Electrical Engineer up to Day:Z. Once the infection took place the original infection site, a small town on the south shore was quarantined off for a short amount of time until it was overrun. A larger quarantine was placed and as a result conscription was put into effect. Zeus was on the last and final line of the defense, which was the only thing that kept him alive when he decided to cut and run. His endurance and stealth are his best attributes that contribute most to his survival. He was never a "scrapper" as they like to call them, just kept to his own and played computer games with his spare time, which had also attributed to his survival, no attachments. He kept alive by sneaking in and out of small towns, cabins and low populated areas where he was unlikely to run into others...alive or dead. Running away was his art, he could quickly gain distance between himself and a mob, quickly disappear around corners and running through houses, closing doors behind him. When he got into fights, he often ran laps to gather all the infected, then put himself into a corner and opened fire, clearing out the area of zombies with few bullets. He now lives his life day by day, scavenging for supplies, each day attempting to find a more secure location then the one before. Unfortunately for him, it's never as simple as just that.

If what you say is true id agree to a point. Although,we haven't pre-ordered or anything so how could you get so upset? And as for environment I 100% disagree. I think the lighting and shadowing are done well at this point and are very realistic. In what world does an infection affect the weather? Just because there are zombies does not mean the environment has to be gloomy.... id prefer if it was not. I love finding little nice places to relax and chill at. -
Yeah, maybe things that slightly reduce damage too. Could be the difference from dying from 2 shots or 3.

Great idea, different types of playable area would be great. There could be clan wars here for control, or other clans could team up to take the prison from another, then go on a free-for-all once the original clan has been killed.. Kinda like the concept for online play in Kane and Lynch 2.

This is a great idea.. but i think he means.. A place that got infected VERY quickly, leaving all sorts of unused supplys as people were killed almost instantly.

They're probably trying to keep a gap between guns so that having a better gun will actually yield a better combat edge over your opponent... If it was ABSOLUTE realism, any bullet would more than likely drop and immobilize someone with a single hit.
