Does this open up the discussion for "makeshift" slings now too? Also I know of these duck call necklaces IRL, and basically they have string tied onto the neoprene rope around your neck (that doubles as a gun sling if you mod it a bit) and you hang your calls off these.. So perhaps having a "Neoprene sling" could allow 2-3 extra small slots on it.. (and if you break the necklace in half its as strong as rope.. Edit: Kinda off topic, but now that theres animals, I hope calls are on their way... Duck hunting in game would be dope af! -
So my gf plays this game with me on occasion but theres a lot of game aspects that don't really appeal to her. However, I know if she could save animals in the game that would be something she would rather go out and do then PvP... So, do you think it would be fun to be able to use bandages, splints, blood transfusions (which could go both ways from pigs perhaps?) and lastly, defib units. Give me your thoughts on it and if you think you would ever partake in the animal rescue team.

Motorcycle protector outfit (with the plastic protective stuff on it, you know) that riders wear so when they bail they dont end up peeled like a banana on the pavement... But I think it would be a better low level melee protection because its small, light, would suffice for the job and would look great with the motorcycle helmets :p

Would you want working streetlights at night in cities?

Pretty straightforward, would you like the thought of streetlights being on at night in (certain, perhaps?) cities to get more players willing to attempt surviving the night instead of logging. Or would you rather the game stay "true to its roots" and stay off due to the realism of it. Or I've heard lately that the map is going to show position on regular servers but not hardcore...So maybe doing it that way? -

I like your thinking but my original thought was that yeah, they would be "magic" so to speak at first, but mechanics could be implimented later to perhaps make that magic a realistic feature... And I like the realism of your list however that would be way to much work for an individual just to get all those items just to sit in the middle of the street under a streetlight...Theyd only be useful for screenshots or meeting up then imo. -

ahh the fundamentals are looking a lot better. Cant wait for them to tweak/rebuild the movement though. its always been "clunky" ina way. Good vid, very informative. And the right length too, didnt drag out.

Basically currenct is just a common means of trade. A double coincidence of wants is hard to come by so thats why currency was accepted.. The only thing im thinking is that you have to eat the currency in this scenario....so it would be an interesting market as currency gets eaten etc.... I personally think bullets are a better way to go... you CAN expend them but you dont have to like with food. I like the idea of a currency but most people will just trade for whatever they need at the moment, I would think.. Ima play with this idea today and maybe come home tonight with some interesting things to discuss about it.

Then you kind of lurk into the whole "they should have used ARMA 3 engine instead of 2" waters so it could support things like that. And personally I wouldnt particularily miss it either but if I came across one I would definately think its cool as would a majority of players I think.

Im just saying more to do that doesnt *need* to involve other players.. Those were just vague examples I dropped. Theres way better ones that dont need to involve AI. But on topic: I thought today about a movie theatre massacre you could walk in on... Dark large room, bodies in chairs/ aisles everywhere. Would this count as a 'major accident'?

Perhaps these scenes could be viewed as recent banditry? And not a result of the initial event taking place. But there definately needs to be more to do PVE wise. I have lots of friends who enjoy theses sort of games a lot but not so much the player interaction. So when they're fully geared they would rather keep looting (or doing missions, etc) instead of wasting people. Perhaps some kind of simple kill>recieve reward mission (whether it be food, water, bullets). Hopefully cooking and hunting will fill some of that gap between this being a survival based game to a more pvp based game.

I think that would be too easily exploitable. I hate the current method but I think this would be easier to get around then what we currently have. We're sorry to hear that Curt. Just dont do anything rash now XD One thing Ill say though is 10mins is way to long to wait. I just go play another game when I get d/c'd etc cuz im not waiting 10 mins to play a game I bought. Hope its been nurfed by now though. -
