How is this counter productive? If implemented like in the mod, it won't be a straight up WoW style logout timer, it will only be activated after firing or taking damage to prevent logging out to save your gear.

The counter argument is that these systems will be part of the final game and need to be tested and ensured working properly. The game should also be tested as it will be played, in my opinion. If you want to test unique scenarios head to low pop servers where you have complete freedom to do as you wish.

    Lets talk about 22. lr

You're correct on it still being quite noisy, but I've never fired one that was painful in anyways, but they are also VERY easy to suppress. You put a standard suppressor on a .22 and all you hear is the "click" of the firing pin really. Kinda like the MP5SD in DayZ mod.

    Lets talk about 22. lr

A .22 is weird and exotic? It is easily one of the most common rounds in the world, if not THE most common. A quality rifle chambered for .22lr can be picked up for under $300 and ammunition is about $25 for a box of 550 rounds. Every Walmart carries dozens of them. The .22 may be a lot of things, exotic is certainly not one of them. The only people who find a .22 exotic must be primarily Military Sim players like CoD and BF and have zero real world experience where you'd never see a a lower caliber weapon contained hundred of millions of homes across the world.

    Lets talk about 22. lr

They've said M4's will become much harder to find, hopefully Mosins and Magnums as well. The draw to the .22 will become that it should be quiet in comparion (not a 'dinner bell' like the Mosin and Lee), and should be relatively common. Probably half the households in the US have a .22 of some sort in them and I can't imagine it is too much different in other parts of the world. They're cheap, very easy to use, and ammunition is plentiful and cheap. It's the perfect gun for a game like this. It obviously wouldn't be the best weapon in the game, not even close, but it'll be something to protect yourself while looking for something better, and I'm sure some people go more for the immersion/role playing and probably wouldn't loot an M4 because they don't think it's "realistic".

Matt Lightfoot LITERALLY posted about working on one like 2 pages ago. Why are you complaining AFTER they announce its impending implementation?

Hasn't been happening since Day 1 for me or any streamer that I watch, it only started happening on the December 31st patch (at least for most people).

Rubber banding NOT fixed. Game is running smoother, but still teleporting. Area is happens more frequently than others, for me anyways: Between Kamenka and Balota (pre spawn change patch, haven't spent much time there since) Between Cap Galova and Cherno All along the Krutoy Cap area I'm not sure if it is something specific about those locations or if it is because I'm probably there more than anywhere else.

Did you read the first post addressing this? Holy crap, guy, open your eyes.

    Sniper Rifles

I've been in the military for some time, I've yet to see a military grade .50cal rifle (not the m2) in person, I've been in dozens of bases across 2 continents and have walked in most of their armories. An anti material rifle is only "issued" to a very select group with a lot of training. I would also imagine the people you'd find carrying though would not be just chilling in a small military outpost. Also, whether something is "realistic" or not shouldn't apply to the game when it was an item that clearly helped ruin the mod. Being able to shoot someone in his pinky toe and watch him keel over was stupid. At least using something like a DMR or M24 required either a headshot or the ability to land a quick followup shot. While still pretty easy to use, it required some user skill. AS50's and M107's are just stupid in a "zombie survival" game. Ammunition also isn't common, my city (population of ~200,000) gunshops barely carry any .50cal rounds as the weapons themselves are rare and the ammo is in very small demand. 7.62, .308, .30-06, 5.56, .22, etc. are all very common types of ammunition and I have no issue seeing those spread across a rural country side. Hell, black powder rifles are probably more common in civilian hands than a .50 cal rifle is in military and civilian COMBINED.

Accuracy comparison: DayZ vs ARMA 2

There is a difference in not knowing how to aim and the bullet not flying straight, though.

    [SA]WeaponZ Survey

Can you give us an idea of when the next weapon will be patched in? Can we get a hint of what you're working on or how often we can expect to see new weapon content? Edit: Once a week? Once a month? Twice a month? Weapons are an afterthought for now while bugs are patched? Etc.

    spawn problems

If it's intentional, I believe it's a solution to make people explore more areas instead of only running to Balota for gear. ...the better solution would be to remove some spawns from Balota but I'm more than willing to give this a shot as I rarely explore anything east of Elektro.

    Current Mosin "Inaccuracy" unrealistic.

Not sure if anyone has already pointed this out, but it's actually about 120 years since they've been new. The first Mosin was made in 1891 with a revision in 1931.
