Sounds like the edge of the map to me. The debug area. You won't find anything there. In the mod people used to have their camps there because no one ever comes to this place. Propably you were spawned near Kamenka and instead of north you walked like slightly northwest and ended up at the left side border of the map. Or it was a bug.. alpha :D

Nevermind, I didn't see the current patch yet. Now it's only a little dot. That's fine with me, but on the first build it was a big circle, which annoyed me. Thanks anyway

Fortunately rare ;) if you want fast gun and kill, play a real egoshooter like battlefield and not a survival game

Find out yourself. I think it's the most fun to just try out some combinations and learning by doing. Try thinking logically. That's what I think :)

Wow I really like this idea! I want the game to be realistic and difficult. It would keep all the kiddies away and reduce kos. You really need skill and experience and effort to get the perfect aim for your gun.

Hey Guys, I have a problem. Someone found my camp... when I joined today, I found two Civilian Clothings in my tent and the two Ghillies were gone. They also took an M9 and my GPS. Best thing: They drank two of my Mountain Dews. What makes me wonder is that they didn't take anything else, not a single gun, none of the Antibiotics. So do you think I should just relax and stay there as they seemed to be in a friendly manner, or shall I move somewhere else as they could come and raid it all? It would be a lot of effort to move the 6 tents fully loaded with guns and gear. Also I love my camp and it hasn't been found for months. I hope for the curse of the mountain dew and those thieves will suffer a slow painfull death (ingame of course :D ). Tell me your opinion!

I had geared up in Elektro, found myself a Lee Enfield, backpack and binoculars and enough food and drink. So I left town and went to a nearby forest to hide and look for some players - just for fun watching them with my binoculars. While I'm stalking, I hear somebody saying in Direct Chat: "Guy at the tree, drop your weapon! Don't move!". He had seen me from far and followed me. I had such an adrenaline rush and did as he told me, dropped my guns and followed his commands. As I was unarmed he came to me and we had a little talk. He realised I was a good guy and allowed me to take my stuff back. So we walked a bit together and had a nice talk. That was a very intense and cool experience. He could just have shot me from behind. Respect to that friendly guy, I wish DayZ had more of these players. I think it would go this way in a real apocalypse, too.

Hey guys, maybe you read it in my thread in the Survivor HQ... my camp has been found, they robbed all my shit, now I only have my life and the stuff on me and in my Backpack left.. And two remaining empty tents, that I can't carry and don't need actually. I would give them away to anyone who could give me some DMR and Stanag mags and maybe some food and drink. You would have to get to the position where I camp, because I can't carry them. It's near Devil's Castle. Anyone interested?

Forget it guys, now they also destroyed the remaining tents.

Allright. I left everything how it was... I logged in today and - dafuq - everything was gone. Maybe them or someone else took nearly everything... All guns are gone, they even took the Hunting knife and all the tin cans. They only left one Miltiary Flashlight, the 3 Wire Fencing kits and the 3 Civilian Clothings... At least I put my favourite things and one tent into my backpack. I will have to start over, but next time I will only have one tent at one position and maybe better covered. It wasn't that well hidden... Maybe it was naive to think noone will ever come around there... Well, it also became a bit boring. I always did some cool loot runs and horded tons of snipers and gear in my tents, but never had any real action in my game. So I started new on some private hives and now I just gear up (maybe a Lee Enfield or an AK) and chill around the big towns, trying to see players. I had some nice meetings with a lot of friendly guys, but was also shot several times by some retarded kids... but this gameplay is much more fun than camping with all my high end gear, but being afraid of using and losing it...

Still no change, they havn't come back again yet.

I'm too lazy to get my stuff somewhere else. It's just too much. Also I don't know another good spot right now. I just put my best gear in my backpack and stuff to have a new start, so if I log on later and everything's gone, I can just run away and have a new start, but am still alive. That's DayZ. I will keep you updated.
