Killing people gets stale fast, I would lile to use this thread to compile a list of things to do in dayz. For example: - run over a player and save him/her - kidnap X amount of people - collect 100 meat steaks - make a gang in elektro Anything that can be done in vanilla dayz. Post your ideas, I will make a list of mine. ✅ - make a base in vanilla dayz using cat wire, sandbags etc. ✅ - convince a survivor not to jump off the lighthouse in kamenka ✅ - park your car in the elektro market parking lot for 10 minutes while you get groceries ✅ - drive a car or atv off of Pik Kozlova (the mountain between elektro and cherno) I'll add things as I think of them. Post your ideas!

I know how you feel man. One time I was going through dayz commander looking for vanilla namalsk servers. I had found one that said 'vanilla pvp' I joined it and to my great dismay I spawned with an M14, 4 dmr mags, m9sd with 4 mags and everything to survive almost forever. What has the world come to?!

This seems a bit contridictory in places, you say it focuses on PVE/PVP and is trying to focus on the survival aspect, which don't get me wrong is a great idea, but then you say there is self bloodbag and custom events. I'm sure there are some people who would like a dayz 'survival' mission like this but it is hardly survival with ai and events. Also I supose the definition of "overloaded with scripts" is debatable but I think this server sounds like it is overloaded with scripts. But that's just my opinion do what you want with your server.

I love namalsk because there is lots of action and the icey atmosphere makese feel warm while sitting in my UAZ. Chernarus I like because of how nostalgic it can be. But tbh I would love to see more snowey maps like namalsk - thirsk is a good map but there is a distinct lack of vehicles and its not very big. Thats my 2 cents.

You get them from murdering industrial zombies. As far as I know there are no servers that spawn combo locks.

I had just spawned in elektro and picked up a lee enfield. I came across i player he had a pistol with no ammo and an alice pack. I told him "drop your weapon or die!" He did. Then shamelessly I marched him at gunpoint into the occean and made him swim til I couldn't see him. He logged about 200 meters out.

Chernarus is the default map in arma 2 and is the map that the original dayz mod is on. Any other map such as; Taviana, Namalsk or Lingor (just some examples) are fan made maps with the default mod, they may not be updated with the mod though. Mods like Epoch, Origins or Overwatch are mods which add content packs and custom content seperate from the default mod. This custom content may contain things like building that are not accesable in default dayz/arma 2. As for bugs they are dependant on the mod or arma 2 engine. Some servers add their own scripts which simply put, are very limited mods. The more you know.

My favorite weapon has got to be the M16 acog! Its an assault rifle fitted with a scope whats not to love, you've basically got an easy kill if you spot someone between 50m and 500m away. Otherwise i gotta go with the FN FAL just for the great iron sightes and high damage.

"Me?" replied Wayne "Yes you, you look confused by all this, you haven't seen the news?" said the survivor "Nope" replied wayne "You better be careful these things ar--" the survivor was cut off by the sound of bones cracking and bullets flying. A man with a ski mask on stepped out from behind the international hotel and started firing on Wayne who then hid behind a near by car. Wayne was able to reach the friendly survivors body and grab his Hatchet. He waited for the gun fire to cease knowing the bastard had to reload. And as he did he ran to the comfort of an alley. And waited... After five minutes of sitting in the alley he heard footsteps, he turned around and swung his hatchet at the masked man behind him, bullets flew but miraculously missed at the point blank range, Wayne knew he had committed murder when the man dropped to the ground. He then bent down grabbed the man's assault rifle, which he figured to be an AK variant and his ski mask. Wayne then walked off into the apocalypse with the knowledge that any man he encountered would be out to get him...

One time on Taviana I was riding a motorcycle with my slightly noobish friend on the back when, (we had got guns from a friendly at Dubavo) we stop at a fishing house at request of my friend to check it out. Then out of no where a black SUV pulls up and 3 guys get out, I evaluated the situation and said "Shit, lets get the fuck out of here!" but the 3 guys were already out of the vehicle. My friend says "No I want to die with dignity!" as he gets his first dayz kill with an m16 against someone with an M249. Realizing the fucking luck he just had I jump off my bike and start spraying down the other 2 with my Mk 16. My friend gets a few more shots on the other guy before passing out but I mange to finish off the other 2 without taking a hit. I run over to my friends body (who is on the ground bleeding) he says "Did I get a kill?" I go "Ya buddy you did!" and as i say that he goes "Yay" at the same moment i see his death message in chat. (I was bandaging him) In the SUV there was 3 AS50's and some food and medical supplys. The server restarted 30 seconds after my friend died and I didn't have enough time to get his stuff.

I am a bandit but I still try to rob people if I can, too me it is just different and more entertaining. One time I made an unarmed drop his beans and jump into the Elektro harbour at gunpoint, it was the most rewarding experience ever to watch him swim away helplessly.

-Where are all the canned tomatoes? -Why have i never heard of the soviet state of Chernarus? Maybe this mod is a re-enactment! :o
