So find an M14 and shoot your mate in the head repeatedly and see if you can reproduce the results. M14 does 8k damage unless the mod you're playing has altered it.

I never understood the reason to include a choice where to spawn. Saying it's up to Admins is why we have 1000+ car servers giving out every weapon under the sun "But choice is a good thing!" - clearly not. If you want to meet up with friends, well it doesn't take more than 20 minutes from anywhere on the map - you pick a mid point and head to it. Is it so people can run back to cherno for more pvp - why even cater to that crowd? I'll assume that more servers allow this option than don't as server hosters compete for a player base. Certainly in the case with the WarZ dev it would have been the right thing to do (he later gets his ass owned later in the vid when his less than stella gaming skills get him murdered and he loses all the nice gear he got off the guy he killed earlier. Seems like a player who just wants to shoot other people, it doesn't matter whether it's with a pistol or a rifle, they just can't wait to go and kill someone. -

Could be that - but I think most people would think it's a dick move regardless of how immersed you get. We're also unable to work out if we have any sociopaths amongst us - people who feel no empathy towards other human beings and are freaks of society but would quite happily behave like dicks. I'm not arguing what type of people are doing it, or why they do it, or why people get more (or less) upset by such things - I'm simply saying that it's a dick move and fail to see how anyone can argue it isn't. -

How is shooting a fresh spawn "Doing their own thing"? Seriosuly, you thinks that analogous to a really good football player. A correct analogy would be a football player who deliberately spoils the fun of another player by kicking him in the balls. I assume that every time you've been shot in the back, unarmed that you thought "Oh happy days"? Unlikely, I bet your first thought was " what a dick" - a natural and normal human response to such an action. Mostly everyone here would think that way. There's a video of one of the Warz devs being given a pistol from a player who he then shoots in the head in return (after whining like a girl he was going to get shot). The dislikes to that video are twice the number of likes and the comments go along the lines of "what a dick" -

It wasn't primarily about you and I have made my point clear from my first post on this thread. Just because it's a game doesn't exclude you or anyone else from being a dick, if you choose to play in such a way. Don't then start complaining if I or anyone else points out that it's a dick move to shoot a fresh spawn in the back. I'm not saying don't do it, but if it quacks like a duck.... -

I never stated his name, please show me where I specifically targeted him anywhere in this thread. Also, are you saying you can't spot a dick move when you see one? Or are you just too scared to man up and tell it how it is? There are dickheads and dick moves in a lot of games we play and people abusing said "dick moves" become dicks, don't they? -
Did you install win8 fresh, as in you formatted your hard drive or did you downgrade from a previously better OS?

only problem with players playing zeds is how many players will play them? I don't want half the server as zeds and I'm not even sure if the whole thing is a good idea anyway. like I've said above, an evolving AI imo is a better idea but requires dev work. -

IMO they need to make the zombies a serious threat but at the same time, make it so you can sneak around them. Personally, i'd like to see these characteristics; - A zed either draws blood on you, or bites you, you're infected and your dead in 15 minutes. You can restart anytime during the 15 minutes and after you turn, you might be able to control the zombie (not sure about having players controlling zombies) - Zeds woud be able to knock you down putting you into a "last Stand" type of action where you will be able to pull out your pistol as a last ditch attempt before you see them pull out your guts (yes it would also be extremely gory) - You would be able to sneak around the zombies as long as you were careful. This part would have to be tested to perfection. - If a zed spots you, it'll cry out attracting other zeds nearby to that area who will also give chase if they see you. If you try and run through a group of them, they will grab you and drag you to the ground. Any zombie you pass close by will try and grab you, slowing you down for a second or two - this might give other zombies a chance to grab you as well which would keep slowing you down until you were mobbed. - Possibly have the zeds change in behaviour as time went on. maybe at the beginning they are all just wandering around aimlessly but then they might start walking in small packs, then large hordes or something. Basically things to give the players so they're in an evolving game, where just as they get comfortable and used to the way the game plays, you throw a spanner in the works and there's something new for them to learn. I'd take what is from the movies and add to that making the zombies a terrifying and dangerous component of the game. As you say in your OP, you just ignore them now pretty much (they actually annoy me half the time when I want to get in somewhere. I know they won't catch me so I know it's only a matter of time before I lose them and it's annoying, knowing you don't have a threat but knowing you should have one but I imagine getting this part done just right could be the hardest part of the game). -

Did I say people who KOS? No, try brushing up on your reading comprehension skills before you reply again. I specifically stated fresh spawns and shooting people in the back. Yes it falls under those who KOS obviously, but I was pretty fucking clear in pointing out what I meant and no, they aren't cock suckers because they play differently, they are cock suckers because of the attitude they have towards playing. -
I miss the limited gear, where finding a compass was exciting. There's a fine balance between find things too quickly and taking forever to find things (like antibiotics used to be). I hope the SA addresses this issue, where guns are limited but melee weapons aren't so much and other gear like a compass is rare to find (but not too rare). Make surviving on your own tough, like a broken leg can only be set by someone else, where we could build a community shelter and grow crops for food. At the start of the SA, supermarkets should be a good source of food but they should make it that as time goes by, they tweak the spawns so they're less and less (I wish they'd make the zeds infect you as well when they hit you and draw blood but that's probably too much for most people). So as time goes by, things get rarer (like in walking dead) and also, I'd love to see the map change too, like things get more and more overgrown - how cool would it be to have the environment around you change gradually over time to really make you feel like your in a changing world? On top of that, I'd like to see some clever use of missions or objectives, something kind of random and rare to happen that the devs could inject into a few servers here and a few there, that got the rumor mill going "Did you hear about that guy who had to...." if you make them rare enough they become special and you're always wondering if you'll ever come across one. They could be in the middle of the woods, only there for a couple of hours and if nobody finds it, it gets missed. People would talk about them in the forums and each one would be different. It's quite possible to add this content in and keep it going. I'd probably pay a monthly fee for something like this.

It depends what you want from a game. Most people are lazy smacktards who think shooting a new spawn in the back is somehow fun. Personally, I find that to be asinine. There's zero challenge in shooting an unarmed player and it's about the the most cock sucking thing you can do but, if people wanna look like cock suckers.... I'd much rather get into a firefight when I have some good gear worth losing, where all that time and effort and work could be lost, in the hands of someone else, where you have to fight to keep it. When you're with your mates and you're fighting another group, coordinating with each other trying to gain the advantage. Where you approach locations like they're objectives, moving up tactically, covering your angles, getting in as quickly as you can, being able to just glance at a loot pile and know whether it's worth grabbing it or rushing by it. To anyone who plays like that, does anybody else think we're even remotely interested in shooting someone in the back over a can of beans in the supermarket? -

LOL that's exactly the same reason I logged, and I've only ever done it once. Fucking zeds would not stop spawning and I just thought " fuck this!" and quit lol. Any other time I let them pull my guts out (and I wish they would add that in - so you can look down your body as your on the floor and watching as they pull out your innards with blood spraying everywhere lol -
Basically if you think you have just enough time to pick up that loot, you don't have enough time to pick up that loot so pass it by. Only an idot gets killed more than a few times over a can of beans ;)

cool :) Add in more enterable buildings and expand the existing towns, cities and do something with green mountain! All that awesomeness for a shitty ladder up to nowhere.
