I laid down, extended the bipod on my M4, ranged a zombie at 300m. Aimed, fired 1 shot and it hit him exactly where I was aiming. Took a second shot and it hit right where I was aiming (centre mass). Zed was dead on the second shot.

What would you do in a RL zombie apocalypse? Survive - yes that means sometimes you'll be bored. Go for a walk when that happens :)

DAy should 7 hours long. 7 hours is to make the same server always cycle their patterns so they're never the same time of day everyday when you play. If I get home at 6 and play 3 hours on the same server every day, I don't want to be playing the same times. A odd number will cycle it so I experience different times. a 24 hour cycle is pointless for the same reason. You won't see any other aspect of the day. The 7 hour day cycle works by having 4.5 hours daylight, 2 hours night and 15 minutes either side of that for twilight. Immaterial anyway as they've put in time compression so server admins can speed time up to 64 times.

There's a thread like this one in the suggestions forum where this one should be (hint: that's the one the devs read so you should make them in there ;))

Losing ur base is way too far. Make it so you lose the gear you were carrying but how will you stop your mates taking it and them giving you their gear? Should bodies not be lootable? Not so fair on the victor of an engagement.

I can vouch for this. My FPS's drop badly in cities and my friends go zooming by.

How do you know where your dead body is if you're a new player - do you suddenly have clairvoyance?

+1 Bring back this feature! IT is an Alpha so maybe it's going to be back in the game since all the zooms are fucked in the game right now.

I played on HC servers and ran around giving my gear to fresh spawns wearing an orange rain coat and a red construction helmet. I thought I was going to be shot for sure but 15 encounters later and everyone I met was friendly and I made some friends through the process. One of the friends I made got shot by a glitch shooter then he shot me as I told the guy what a prick he was for doing it, running around whilst he feebly tried to hit me which he did eventually. To our surprise, we both spawned at the same place lol and then 2 Germans came over, fully geared, told us to get down and then just shot us both.

Well it's a compromise and also it doesn't make that much of a difference to spend dev time working on making everything invisible. I wonder how it would affect frame rates though if it only rendered things you could see. There'd be less rendered but the process to derender and render again might be more taxing o.O

The ground fog could be coming from the underground research lab seeping up through the earth. That could be "ground zero" for the outbreak and why the village is ruined.

Rocket said in the roadmap that they're going to let the community "run with it" when it came to modding the game, citing the MOD as an example of what has been done. If I remember correctly this led to very few people playing the original MOD for things like Epoch, Origins, etc. So now it's pretty much been confirmed, what do you think about this?

So yesterday I was playing with my mate and seeing someone do this on youtube I decided to try it out. I set up a mute mic on Teamspeak and then muted it and growled out "Don't move!" through (direct chat) except my mate just said "did you hear that?" Smirking a little, I just pretended I didn't and left it a little while then said louder "We have you surrounded!" to which I was laughing my ass off as he then started hurling insults at them over local. I didn't give the game away yet as I want to keep this going a while. In the mod I used to fill his pack pack up with used cans and piles of wood which was hilarious to listen to when he went to put something in there and it was full of crap. What do you do to wind ur mates up and pass the time? ;)

Well this is a good point. There are obviously some mods that nobody has a problem with, maps being one of them. Loved Namalsk, Tav I wasn't so in love with tbh but it was still a great map. But what else can modders make? Can they make new cars, clothes, items to be placed in the SA?
