  1. Presumably you don't go for walks and enjoy those then? Same boring hills and trees just like in the game, right?
  2. OK I'm not a rust aficionado but it seems to me that you can make high quality weapons and scopes and laser pointers from basically stone and sticks. Do you even need to make tools first before you can make a gun and all these things?

    Move the spawning points

I'm not sure how I "look better" as I walk all over the map and scour buildings and I don't need to play more, I've been playing Arma 2 and DayZ for years and I know the map good enough not to need a map unless I'm after something specific which is a town name most of the time - which makes the in game maps entirely useless for the purpose of finding your way around! If you get lost and find a map how are you going to tell which town you are in?
  4. Actually you're right, the banana's in game that are "rotten" are nowhere near rotten and everyone eats them like that. They need to make them look rotten, not a few days old and perfectly ok.

    Grappling Hooks and Climbing

A guy climbing up to an inaccessible point would expose himself to being shot as he grappled not to mention it would take a long time (and imagine sniping the rope just as he got near the top so he fell to his death). You now have a guy who is stuck on top of a single structure. Snipers are easy to avoid anyway as long as you're paying attention to what you're doing and how many buildings are there anyway that you can't already get on top? Now the other more widely used option is grappling to roofs to get the fuck away from zombies, etch.

    Achievements (Steam)

They are going to add steam achievments for longevity of life - I think they need to add a leader board, aimed at surviving only (no PVP shit), such as How many days alive (this is calculated on actual game time played which is easily taken from steam. How many miles walked (I said miles dammit not kilometers - they're for girls ;)) Most killed player (A bit of reverse psychology?) Most friends made whilst play DayZ (as in people you added whilst you were playing DayZ, so people you met in game - this also gives another reason to be friendly) What Achievements do you think should be added and how should they be viewed? Rocket said the data would be published so people can make their own websites but shouldn't it be accessed from a common area such as Steam where everyone can see it?

    ArmA 3 Stances in DayZ

This is a no brainer and needs adding in - it needs to be bound to something like shift?alt?ctrl + mouse scroll wheel - scroll up to raise, down to lower and get rid of that fucking awful scroll menu system!
  8. Yes I'm sure you know what's going on financially. It's all those chemtrails affecting the sheep right that's the problem here? It's called society, people were just as much a sheep to it as they were when we were cavemen, just like every social animal in the world is. IS it perfect? Not by a longshot.
  9. THE GAME ISN'T FINISHED!!!! Can you understand this? The hope was that there would be more to do are you serious? There is going to be more to do, read the roadmaps. Quests could be good but could be bad and it's not that type of game anyway - it's an apocalyptical survival game.

    Move the spawning points

No this is one of the most stupid things in dayz imo (obviously, who's opinion would it be?? lol)). Having a map split into eight pieces is ridiculous. Having a map written in English when all the road signs are written in Cryllic is ridiculous. Maps should be one of the easiest things to find in a game. Everyone I know has some kind of map in their car or their house and if not then OS maps of the area easily found in shops and they cover larger areas than the map size anyway so who the hell is making 1/4 maps of the area? What would be the RL use of a map covering 9 square miles? Because you can't read the road signs, like these guys.... Try finding those places on your map. So when you find a map, unless you've been playing the game for a while it's not going to be much help if you get lost which new players are going to do. Why even make it this hard and force players out of the game to look at other maps. We need just one map, in cryllic and they need to be more frequent. They also need to stop spawning on top of book cases where you can't see them in first person.

    Fire

This is just copying H1Z1 or whatever it is. I don't see the point of wasting dev time to code in the ability to burn everything down but I see griefers having a field day with it.
  12. Hmmmm maybe your idea is more practical....

    Achievements (Steam)

Knowing how long I've lived for me is something I want to be able to see. The challenge of DayZ is to survive, that is the game and the challenge is greater when you have to engage other players or go into risky areas. Surviving is the key point of the game and should be marketed along these lines. With that in mind it needs to be done correctly so it stops people logging in out in the middle of nowhere and just leaving their character there (and no, making zeds appear around them or walk towards them is the worst possible solution (like they had in the mod)). You could make it that if you haven't moved your spot in over an hour it stops recording your time alive until you move again. As for other achievements in a game with no end to it, having things to aim for is fun for some people or a leaderboard to compete against. Who's at the top of the survival list and still alive? Why not try and hunt them down and end their longevity. If you add in a lot of little things to do or aim for, it adds more depth to a game and as DayZ really has no end game, it's the depth of play that will important in the end. Shallow games don't have very long shelf lives.

    Grappling Hooks and Climbing

Solely because of this post Devs must stop all other work and concentrate on nothing else except getting this to work ASAP. After that they need to add in these....

    Grappling Hooks and Climbing

This has got to be one of the most stupid counter arguments I think I've read here.
  16. I don't get how they just ignore the big disclaimer they see on every load up. Still, they're the one's looking like idiots when they come here to complain. With regards to features, play something else then in the meantime. I'm giving Dayz a few hours a week right now. I'll play more after a patch release to test things out but then I'll go play something else.
  17. Unless you're British. We inherently know how to build quality bows from a wood of your choosing except English Oak.
  18. I never said people were clueless or thick btw, that one is totally on you mine was a DayZ joke ;). As for job opportunities, it all depends where you live. I live near London so there's plenty of jobs whereas if I was in some welsh village up in the brecon beacons my options are going to be limited.
  19. Because in RL people wouldn't be killing each other.
  20. I have an idea. If someone suicides make them spawn in wearing a pink leotard and tutu.

  22. So traversing across the countryside isn't fun presumably? Personally I like it, the map is brilliant but it does depend on what you like. I'm going to assume you want to get a gun as quick as possible and go find some pvp adventure?
  23. Yes, I think that's about as far as it went wasn't it?
