Looking back, Do you think that EA release was a good idea?

Define better and I assume you've got a hangar and a few ships already, right? -

Quite clearly you have no fucking clue what you're talking about. I probably have 100 hours on the SA and have never seen any evidence of hacking but I have seen people misreporting lagging opponents as hackers. -

Yep GR and the RS series both butchered by Ubisoft pricks. I played GR and the Rogue Spear and then Raven Shield for almost 2 years solid. What did they come out with? Lock Down? lol.... -

No arguing with people like me is hard for you since people like me won't let you get away with BS and demand evidence, not hearsay and assertions when making an argument which is all you done. You've been countered with strong arguments and now are resorting to BS name calling. You're the religious person here, not us. When you have a robust argument come back by all means. Have you bought the game or not? -
What? Where did I say we should leave anything left out? I meant to M107 and AS50 since I was replying to the topic.

A slightly different topic about zeds I wanted to discuss because the way I see it, the Zeds are what will make or break this game. As we've had years of the mod and things like Rust where everyone can build a base what can really set the SA apart - the Zeds! You hear a lot of people wanting things to do because PVP is getting stale. When they add in all the other things like base building and hunting and farming that's all great too but not what we signed up for which is a zombie apocalypse. Therefore it is imperative that most of the work is done on the zeds and how much of a danger and a challenge they're going to be for us. If they do them wrong, it's going to have a major impact on the gameplay as we all want scenes like this.... We need a constant threat in the game, something to be feared and respected, not something we can just run by and ignore because they're too easy - if the zeds are like that you might as well remove them from the game.

I'm not mad I'm correcting you. Also you were schooled over The Walking Dead in that the viewer-ship has increased, not decreased. You're making the claims, you provide the data to back it up. -
Yes I have said this before in another topic. If I light a candle in my house it lights up the entire room. A flash light is brighter than a candle and should do the same like the picture below.. In Dayz the centre bright spot is all you see them complete black around it which does not reflect reality at all.

Sniper rifles Damage CZ550 8000 DMR 8000 M107 37552 AS50 174205, 37552 I'd prefer they left them out for the SA

I'm hoping for 7 hour day cycles, 4.5 hours day, 15 minutes twilight, 2 hours of darkness - this way you play the same server every day at the same time you get to experience all the times of day
-
I find people wearing motorbike helmets are more likely to kill you.
-
I like it but it needs work. It also means if you get some shots off at a guy that kills you, you know you ruined his gear and your gear is now ruined so he looses out lol. Now with the mechanic in place, it's up to you to work out your game tactics around it.

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
Jex replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
Zombies ain't tough enough yet, still too easy and too few. Want DayZ to stand out from every other survival game being made out there? Get the zeds right. -
OK so basically what you're saying is that because you don't like it or want it, even though the advantages for the entire player base are huge, we shouldn't have it in the game. There's nothing "army" about it. Don't be so ridiculous! Since when has moving your body been anything to do with the army lmao. It's a great system, it should be tied to CTRL + Mouse Wheel up/down and it should be in every FPS out there! All First Person Shooters should have way more character control. Raven Shield did it really well too - you held down shift or something and then your mouse moved ur character. So u move the mouse up and you raise ur stance, move left and you lean left. A lot smoother than Arma's system but anything that gives you more real world control is a good thing. You don't have a single, credible argument for why it shouldn't be introduced. You're just throwing your teddy out the pram. Stop it.

Well nobody got hurt so it's not so bad, at least you tried to verify your target first :)

please tell me rocket wont be adding horror aspect to the game
Jex replied to bioned's topic in General Discussion
This is why the zeds must be done right. Once you have some decent gear and you have decent zeds that can kill you if you make a mistake trying to sneak passed then the horror will work itself out. When you see a chance of you dying by zeds and you're going to lose your gear the heart rate is going to go up. -
Any way to raid a military jail with armed people in it?
Jex replied to exomonkeyman's topic in General Discussion
LOL i was going to say this however it will only work on a 1st person server for obvious reasons. -

What the fuck are you talking about? I'm not talking about early access views - where did I say I was talking about early access reviews? If you sign up for EA then it's on you. I signed up for DayZ to support BIS for supporting the mod and would have done so if the SA was shit. I had 2 years with the mod for free so £20 was no big deal. Other early access games I have no interest in. You wait for the finished product and the reviews to come out and if you can't do that expect to waste your money. It's called making up your own facts to try and bolster a shitty argument. -

You mean as summer approaches and the weather is better people aren't staying in doors to watch TV - wow, imagine that! The zeds have been removed because they can't get the zeds right and they take up too many resources. I don't know anyone that's "tired" of the zombie genre. Most people who are into it love any kind of zombie media and simply are not going to stop themselves buying a zombie game if it's amazing. -

Zombies have been popular for decades. Presumably FIFA football 25 or whatever are running at a loss too right? Pop culture has nothing to do with anything when it comes to gaming as long as the game you make is a quality product. Gamers play great games when they come out. -
They run through most walls. What they can't run through are the brown picket fences that are broken in places and those wire fences with concrete at the bottom of them. All the devs need to do is surround each house, in between the walls with the little picket fence and problem solved already. OK that's not the fix but it will get fixed. Don't worry about that, worry about how the zeds are going to work and if they're not going to work, take them out completely. If the zeds are anything like the mod then they might as well forget it and we want hordes of zombies. That was one of the reason for the SA - by redoing the zeds they could reduce the amount of character passes from 7 down to 1 meaning a lot less resources. What's a character pass? I don't have a clue ;)
-
I don't - I quit playing after Activision took a shit on the community (MW) and decided to take away server hosting and custom maps and yes, after the zeds come in, as long as they're effective will change things.
-
The game is marketed as a zombie apocalypse that you need to survive in, not a survive in the wild bear grills style. The two are closely related but if you want survival, play rust (oops lol doesn't rust have zeds? I hardly ever see them in videos so assumed they'd been removed but remember seeing them in early vids). This is a zombie apocalypse and thus a major part of the development has to go to that. This is why they need to be done right so people like you who aren't that bothered are also impressed.

This. I hope they are able to add in hundreds of zeds but I also want to see some creativity and randomness thrown in.
