Zombies are weak, they need to be stronger...
Jex replied to battlerhd's topic in General Discussion
We're immune? There would be survivors that aren't immune they just didn't get infected unless the infection is in the air - is there even a backstory that's official about this. I never really thought about it beofre... -

Everyone knows you shoot a zombie in the head to kill it outright. Body shots are useless so this needs to be reflected in the game. Ideally the damage model should work like this.... The zombie skeleton has hitpoints. Weapons deal damage. No shots to the body will kill a zombie Weapons can hack off or shoot off body parts Head shots insta-kill zombies Zombies with no legs crawl along the floor zombies with no arms or legs just go "grrrr" Zombie bites = infected and ur dead -
Will we eventually get different reloading 'tiers'?
Jex replied to spensah's topic in General Discussion
Because I'm talking about the backpack and how it should work in dayz since you mentioned it and I wanted to talk about that :) -
Will we eventually get different reloading 'tiers'?
Jex replied to spensah's topic in General Discussion
Nobody can give a clear, reasonable or good argument for not being able to reload loose rounds from your jacket or pants using a key. As long as the times reflect reality then do it, don't make me go into an unrealistic inventory system just to satisfy some peoples perception that for some inexplicable reason, loading one bullet should be 10 times as many steps as loading 10 bullets  Anyone want to try and shoot me back an actual argument? -

Whenever a player goes into his backpack, he should kneel and take the pack off his shoulder and open it. In you're inventory screen, the backpack should remain closed and unviewable with a button "Open Pack". When you click this, it starts the animation of you kneeling and taking off your back pack. Once you are in this state, the backpack becomes a separate object on the ground from you. Anyone can access the inventory and when they do, they'll go into a kneeling animation with their hands inside it or holding the top open to show they are looking at it. Once you are finished with looking, you need to pick the pack up just like you would any other object in game. The pack acts like all other packs on the ground in game terms (but can be accessed by other players when it's on your back). This is how back packs work in reality, -
Let's make signs and start walking in circles around the town square in Cherno "Save the Wilderness", "Squirrels need Homes Too!", "Zombies can't Own Homes, Stop Building More CIties!"

Why are you playing it then? The devs are working on it, read the road map, work out that we get updates which add contents. Understand what an alpha process is. Don't bitch like a whore when a broken game...breaks Don't play the game if you don't like playing something that's broken.

I read these forums then smashed my face so hard against my desk my brain exploded.

And yet again...I log out in disappointment.

I'm so glad someone picked up on this BS. Yeah running at full sprint and thinking you can hit a 2 foot wide target? LMFAO -
LOL I made pretty much the same post before I read yours. It's true and it's odd - why are people playing games they don't like are they fucking stupid!?? When I get bored of a game I stop playing it and go masturbate.
-
Just roleplay through it. You fell over and broke your neck on the stairs, accidents happen and start over. It's fun starting with nothing, by duping you're just skipping the exploring and finding things and going right to end game. OK so what is it about end game that's more fun than the other part of finding gear? Now you're just running around the countryside aimlessly as opposed to running around at least with an objective. What is it about the early part you dislike and what's so great about being fully geared up? To me it seems that whichever part of the gearing stage you're at, whether nothing or everything, you're still playing the game and if any of those parts aren't fun for you I think it's time to find a new game, right?
-
"60% dupe" LOL I love the BS statistic they use and who cares who dupes. If you're finding the game stressful and annoying if you can't dupe then why are you playing the game? Surely playing a game you don't enjoy unless you cheat at it is one of the most stupid things you can do. Just find another game to play lol - there are literally thousands out there. Herp derp.
-
LOL Love it :) :beans:
-
Nope what we want are some interesting buildings which has been stated in this thread had you read it. If you're happy with copy and paste boring cities spread all over the map making it boring we don't want your input.

Cherno land mass is smaller now than it was in the mod as you used to be able to go out into the nothing remember? They could and should have added rivers as well - I suspect they didn't because of the AI path finding for Arma but that isn't really relevant now but a river spreading out into a small delta at the coast would be cool and one coming down the map starting in the NW or Pobeba dam. I loved namalsk. I felt cold when I played that map and the first time I saw the eyes..... lol that got the hackles up! There's a noise in the woods....I can hear footsteps but I don't see....wait! there's footprints being made in the snow....*crap pants*.....WTF are those glowing things RUNNNNNNNN!!!!!! lol

Hi All, I haven't played for about 3 months but tonight, my mate and I are going back into DayZ. Obviously I've been keeping up on the forums so I'm not entirely clueless but I know I'm missing a ton of information on playing can give you. My Character has an M4, I pulled it from the hands of a guy I shot in the head at the NWAF months ago and I should have an SKS too. The rest of my gear is pretty good also. So any tips for all the new things now in the game you can help me out with? Thanks, J. EDIT: 3 not 6 months! lol
-
M4 for sale, I'll just put it on ebay link to come soon! :P
-
They'll need to so they can test the hive loot table right?
-
Did ur willy deteriorate?
-
Item persistence (not sure I understand correctly)
Jex replied to James Hawke's topic in General Discussion
I think the items degrade over time so no, if you leave an item in the woods it will eventually rot away. -
Which berries can u eat - I'm basically of the same mind as you, even down to the backpack lol :)
-
Sorry I meant 3 months! Love the rest of the replies lol
-
LMAO fucking awesome!!!!! "SKS Yaddie" and the "Shotgun Kid"? There has to be a "Return of...."!
